I run #13 springs in my open glock for major

My silver one is turning black on top, from the sharpie pen that i use to mark my brass lol.

Hope it does not smoke too bad, i just had a case of 124tc delivered to the house yesterday. Did not notice it smokkng to bad with first hundred, this is with WAC.

A word of WARNING do not run major with slide lightened. If you want to shoot 9major use a full uncut slide. 1911 slide constructs do not translate well to glock MAJOR builds. DANGER WILL ROBINSON! Why is that? And how about with a aftermarket slide?

Check that the firing spring and pin have not built up with gunk and oil, needs to be clean and dry

I use a propane torch and heat it up till I smell the locktite. Comp in padded vise, use glove to turn barrel. But if the comp has shifted in threads it could be cross threaded. If you force it off it could ruin threads on the barrel ruining barrel and comp. If cross threaded slice the comp lightly with a thin disc lengthwise on two sides to relieve it and then twist it off. Hopefully not cross threaded.

Are you using the dies with tubes or? I use the Mr bullet feeder die with tubes and they only cost $50 each. I have not used them for cast lead though.

I cannot get my trigger pull in the sub 3lbs let alone sub 2lbs with a Vanek set up. I have to run stock firing pin springs or fight with light strikes. Granted i run wolf/tula primers, winchesters or cci's. I have a few k of Federals but i have/will not set up my gun just to run them. Saving yhe federals for bigger matches. I like the pull length, reset and the feel of the wall in the Vanek, hope the DK runs as good. I dont feel that the half pound of trigger pull will move me up to higher class shooter as much as more practice and dry fire will.

I have a Vanek in one open gun and have a DK coming for my second open gun. I can't wait to compare the two. I like the Vanek and looking forward to good things with the DK

I use 6 moa in mine and have no problem with it,I really like it. Only other thing I have tried is the 7moa delta point and I prefer the 6moa.

Have a LnL and just made the switch to a 650, dang why did I not make the switch years agoo. Still have the LnL but its boxed up now on a shelf.

Called and talked to Bobby and will be ordering a 4port comp as that is the one he recommended. I asked him about his comp being to heavy with a g22 conversion barrel and he just chuckled and said no. Thanks for all the feedback. Stan

I have a lone wolf barrel so I need the 1/2x28 threaded comp, don't think that yours will work.

Which comp would you run for major 9mmm ? Have a g22 with LW conversion barrel and currently running a 5port sjc. Was planning on running minor loads but running nothing but major power. Have read and talked to a few about the 11 port sjc cracking issues. So the question is the 4 (10) port carver or the 11 port sjc?

Shot a stage couple weekends ago (open gun) with out double hearing protection and thought it was loud, cannot imagine no hearing protection.

Slide ride mounted sideways is my choice, it may be ugly but Bigger glass Cheaper More Reliable Those are my reasons, if I am worried about weight the first place to look to lose some would be in the mirror lol

buy a g22 slide and get a threaded 9mm conversion barrel for it. SJC 90degree mount, cmore optic, major 9 comp, magwell and a 171mm mag to go along with the 140's and go have fun. Oh yeh that's what I did lol
