  1. Looking at building a open top end based off a g22 top end for my g35 limited gun.I will never compete for a national championship and am just a C class shooter. Love to tinker and compete with friends. Eye sight is not as good as it once was a few years ago and tried carry optics this weekend and loved shooting a red dot. Did not like all the reloading and prefer my g35 limiteds lower, (IE magwell and grips, trigger ect) better then production style carry optics lower. I don't think that having to reload in a larger course is going to cost me a match, I screw up lots of other things worse then a reload lol. I have a bunch of both 9mm and 40 brass (range pickups), I also have a bunch of MG 124JHP's. And several different powders to experiment with. Have dies for both 9mm and 40 but not worried about buying another die set. Not sure what caliber to go with, Major 9mm, 40 open or 357 sig? I will post what I see as the pros and cons of each for me and would love to here others opinions. 9mm major pro's ammo cap cheaper bullets more gas then 40?? Cons issues with KB. 40 S&W pro's more forgiving then 9major Cons more expensive bullets less capacity 357sig pros cheaper bullets then 40 more forgiving then 9major to reload more powder choices then 9major cons round count ie mag capacity. less barrel choices then threaded 40 or 9mm So what do you all think??
  2. 357sig is also legal in limited division for major power factor
  3. 16" would be a little long lol, barrel would be hitting me in the knees.
  4. Yes was wondering about the practicality of it, I know that people like the g24 and this would be just a .61" longer. Was wonting some ideas before I drop $150 on this.
  5. I have used bear creek and bayou both and have had issues with both.
  6. I get 19 -20 in a 140mm 40s&w, should get 25-26 in a 170mm
  7. Yes USPSA, I did not see anything in the rule book about barrel length limits in Limited class. Please point it out where it tells about barrel length limits in limited class.
  8. KNEDRGR has one on his 35 and really likes it. I was wondering if the 6.6" long barrel would be to long compared to the 5.3" stock g35 or even the 6" g24 barrel.
  9. I have a G35 and am looking at adding the TF barrel shroud sight block. That would give me a barrel length of 6.61 inches. I am running a SJC heavy brass magwell and SJC frame weight also on this. I really like this setup and looking at a aftermarket barrel for shooting coated bullets so thought why not get the sight block while doing this. I do not like shooting coated bullets through my stock barrel, the lead build up drives me nuts lol. So would this combo be to long or would it be good to go?
  10. I know this is to late but there was a points match today at Dundee, hope you made it out.
  11. I drilled countersink holes for all four set screws. I had to file the recoil lug tab a bit to get it to fit, and its very tight and had to use a "bit" of pressure to get it installed. I figure that there is a lot force and its not going to hurt having all four. I did not countersink deep enough so setscrews are flush with weight installed. I just installed mine in the last hr so I have not got to shoot it yet lol
  12. not really, then I would not have any spares
  13. I like the SJC heavy brass with Taylor Freelance extensions
  14. I have Dawson and Taylor Freelance for my G34. The Dawson look good sitting as spares, I use and prefer the TF.
  15. yes in 9mm and 40. no cons that I can think of.

    Glock porn

wow, you all have some nice looking glocks.
  17. when you switch powders, you need to weight your charges, doing it the way you have done could blow up your gun. I would suggest getting a good reloading manual and doing some reading.
  18. clays in .40 is bad and dangerous, for your safety you should send it all to me to dispose of . I will get rid of it one shot at a time lol
  19. I am looking at building some falling plates, 8& 10" rounds and 6&8" squares. I am looking at building them leaning at a 10-13degree angle to help knock down the spatter. Does any one see a problem with this from a shooting point of view or from USPSA's rules. Thanks stan.
  20. start out around 3.3gr of clays and work up, I am at 3.6 at 1.15" in a g34 for a 130PF.
  21. I am running dawson's on my 9mm mag and TF's brass on my 40 mags, no issues with either one
  22. glad to see powder finally start to show back up, now we just need primers and bullets to start making it back in stock.
  23. I like my ultimate kit, has a nice wall before the break
  24. Just a heads up Natchez has WSF In 1,4, and 8# jugs
