Where could I find round nose .40 bullets?
hopalong replied to Matt Griffin's topic in ICORE Rules and Membership Information
RJR bullets...Somerville TN 160 grn round nose Lead, Red lube. He has Bulk price if you order at least 10k Rodney 901-378-0112 Tell him Sam sent you. (It won't get me a better deal, but it will make him feel better about his decision to get into the casting business) -
Sorry Mike, to get to call the other folks at the matches your "bitch" you have to be there. Maybe next year. Until then, Cliff is still your "Bitch" Hop

I shot a Scout Squad for 6 years now. I have found that it needs a new barrel. SO, I will be putting a Medium weight Match 18 inch back on it and do a few other things to accurize it so it shoots a 1 moa. IF I had to shoot a full length M1a I'd likely go with either a Loaded or like Trapper said.............Find a "roughed up" one and tinker as needed. HOP

Jack, I'll beat Merlin to it.................... I'll give $200 for it. ! Hope you like it as well as I like all of mine. Hop

Unfortunately, The Hillbilly Classic in Nashville has dropped on-line squadding too. For the same reason. Hop Have fun down there. -
Linda has got to be one of the BEST if not THE BEST statisticians around (yes there are others, and Joy Hyden instantly comes to mind) but, 8 minutes from last shot fired to FINAL posting at the TN sectional (138 shooters with 4 recognized divisions, and all 6 represented). Thanks Linda. Hopalong Oh, forgot to add: And NO PALM Pilots either !!!

Yes the 646 is an L frame. AND, Dave cut me some Hearthco Moons for it, and I really really really like it. Actually, I think it is as good or better than the 625 as reloading goes. (but see my tag line (again)). Hop

Well the TN state match is over with. I would like to thank all that came for making the REVOLVER division one of only 4 recognized divisions. AND... Until Friday it would have been the ONLY one to have 3 or more GMs to make it go in as a classifier too. (LTD had 4) Cliff made the least amount of mistakes and edged out Elliot for overall. Good job Cliff! (coors light) Johnny Brister came out of the fields long enough to show why he is one of the only 10 GMs in Revo division, and the ONLY 5 gun GM out there. (He shot 6 times before this weekend, and had not touched a wheelgun in a year and a half). He was going to shoot SStk, but when I called him and told him I was changing from Sstk, to Revo because he and I and one other at the time were the only ones he told me I would owe him BIG TIME. AND I do now, as do the rest of the wheelgunners who shot because if it wasn't for him to make #10 it would have been all for naught. Mr. Brister, you are a true GENTLEMAN. SWIowagean was the "Road King" since Cliff flew into Nashville. Thanks Bob, and good to make the reaquaintance. Ben Ball made a good first showing with his "Hopped" up 625, and Matt Beck ("The best A in C class" Quoted by Cheetahs from the 08 Nats) will be going to B class due to his 70+% match performance. Congrats Matt !!! Danny, good to see you again. See you Oct. 13 if possible. The Queen of the Revolver showed just WHY she is the Queen by whipping up on most of us most of the time. Good to see you (and Elliot) again Annette. Till next time, Hop OOPS, Forgot to add: Wild Bill from Nashville made me work all day Friday just to hold him off. If he gets to shoot much he'll be hard to handle, good shooting Bill.

I would not hesitate to use my .45 revolver for hunting deer. I know my limitations and have no problem with that. I normally use a 657 (.41 mag) instead though (I really like it, and it has a nice scope that with a good rest the thing will group 6 inch or less at 100 yds) Hop

MichaelS, You are just too much !!! Hearthco, or Ranch ???? MY suggestion............. (remember to look at my tag line) Buy both, Hearthco for matches that mean something and the other for all other time. Hop

Pat, Skip the Gator, and go to TN section instead (closer, and you have Beale Street ect.) Plus WE'VE got HOTELS !!!! Hop -
Corey, I'm not bothered by him/them he is just jealous by the fact that no matter what he's stuck at M for anything he classifies in. Talked to Robert on the phone the other evening. He said it looks good for 60+ on the first of what he hopes is a permanent match. I then told him that he might as well send all the goodies this way as it is going to be coming here anyway. Hop Edit to add: Oh and Andy, It is a GOOD thing I'm not shooting a Gl@ck as it would have melted and fallen apart by the 2nd match. !!!
