  1. Agree completely. Somehow that obnoxious sentiment seems to be very popular lately.
  2. Both are allowed (the rules do not prohibit the magwell). No weight limit in Limited. The appendices explain the Division requirements.
  3. Check appendix E3...they kept that picture in there specifically for showing naturally at sides (the hipbone part of the diagram for equipment placement no longer matters).
  4. What do I think? I think there's no way I'm second guessing anyone's call based on that picture.
  5. The rule applies to golf carts and side-by-sides that you might drive from stage to stage and to personal vehicles/automobiles in the parking lot. I'd verify that with the RM at a match, but that's how it was done at nationals in Alabama where a bunch of competitors used rented golf carts.
  6. Yes, that's fine. Make sure you read the appropriate rules and understand them in case you run into someone at a match who doesn't know them. 10.5.19 is the rule that covers the vehicle, but also check out 5.2.1.6 and 5.2.1.7 for the cart rules. In fact, I'd just open the rules and do a search for PCC to read all the rules that specifically mention PCC. 10.5 Match Disqualification – Unsafe Gun Handling Examples of unsafe gun handling include, but are not limited to: 10.5.19 Failing to point the muzzle of a PCC at a side berm or back stop during casing/uncasing or removing/replacing on a conveyance or sweeping any person with the muzzle of a PCC, whether loaded or not, even if a chamber flag is inserted. Side berms/backstops may be used for casing and uncasing or removing from/placing on conveyances only. All other gun handling with the PCC, e.g., sight pictures, turning dots on/off, etc., must be accomplished in a safety area or under the direct supervision of a Range Officer. The berm/backstop is not required while removing/returning a properly flagged PCC from/to a vehicle providing all other safety rules are followed.
  7. "I was also able to act as a stage RO for a level 2 match, which I probably won't do again." Why not? "That being said, I'm not an MD nor do I really have any interest in performing those kinds of functions." You might not have any interest in those things now, but it's possible you will in the future.
  8. It's still there: 5.2.5.3 - Unless specified in the written stage briefing, or unless required by a Range Officer, the position of holsters and allied equipment on the belt must not be moved or changed by a competitor during a match. If a retaining strap is permanently attached to a holster or magazine pouch, it must be applied or closed prior to issuance of the “Standby” command. I've had ROs remind me to lock my open holster after a stage (and after range is clear command), but it's a terrible idea (and, as outerlimits pointed out, not a real range command) to do that between strings...the shooter could easily forget to remove the strap or lock prior to the next beep.
  9. Boxes with the lid still exist but I couldn't find them for sale anywhere. The ones without the lid come with a straight edge that you can slide or roll across the top of the box.
  10. Yes. The option for classic (now IPSC) targets removes the B zone, but you have to do it manually...and not all match MDs do it.
  11. It must really bug you that our official scoring program still has the B zone.
  12. the larger picture they posted when they explained the answer gives a better view...and even that picture isn't a straight on view. It's hard to say without seeing it in person, but it mostly looks like a slight misalignment along with the rear target pulling away from the front target.

USPSA has a similar rule that could apply, depending on the circumstances: 6.2.6 - A match disqualification incurred by a competitor, at any time during a match, will prevent the competitor from further participation in the match including any subsequent attempts in another Division. However, this is not retroactive. Any previous and complete match scores from another Division will be included for recognition and awards in that Division.
  14. Video #9 says the re-entry is to be added as a separate entry in the original match and thus included in the stage and overall scores. https://uspsa.org/practiscore/
  15. Where are you quoting that from? I only see that they removed the reference to E3. "App. D4, D5, D7, Item 12 –Removed reference to App. E3" And from the Downrange email: "Please note that all other rules including the type of holster, height of the firearm, and distance from the belt have not changed."
  16. I just read this recently, but had trouble remembering where I read it...finally found it. https://www.facebook.com/theuspsa/posts/3915789071766581
  17. Current class schedule: https://uspsa.org/seminars
  18. Lol. 1) the text you quoted above wasn't even to you, it was directed at someone else. 2) I already admitted I was wrong.
  19. I mean the rulebook example...how would you score that?
  20. How would you score the stacking example in the glossary?
  21. It would be nice if that example of stacking also included something like "(plus additional penalties under 10.2.4)." This seemed like clear stacking to me, so I wouldn't have assessed anything under 10.2.4 since it's essentially the same action and since the example implied it would only be two stacking procedurals. Thanks for your straightening me out. I'd rather be wrong here than on the range.
