Wow we had our first practice Saturday as a SPP team 4 Girls 6 Boys of the 10 kids only 3 had shot pistols before, most of my kids are in our 4H/SCTP shotgun program. Well I told everyone that they could get a little more shoot time by coming out to our monthly steel match. Thinking I would get 1 or 2 to show up was going to make my day, I had 6 thats right 6 show up to shoot sharing 2 guns was crazy...My kids kicked butt today!! The hook is set!!!!!

Wow can't believe that I made the second post in this thread in 07 and my SS gun has not changed at all!!! 9th overall at the Texas SS championship this weekend with that same gun!!!

Skip I have used one of the 5 that I got from one for 38 special and not one burp!!! Awesome...I was getting at least 8 per 100!!

I have it happen on 38sp, 38super, 9mm, 40 real bad and 45acp

I try my best to be a consumer!!!! But after 7 years of running our club busting my ass every other weekend it never works out!!!!LOL We have tried everything and if people don't want to work they won't..They just don't want to be on my squad...I did find one thing that pissed guys off, I started putting the shooter first to shoot every stage. Most of the guys that don't help are your win at all cost I can't be tired or I will loose type. They never want first so they can watch or judge the run of another person. Back to I want ot be a consumer, it never fails that something goes wrong and I RO the whole time or I get to work the stat shack which sucks!! Just need a good squad mom that hands them pasters or keeps telling everyone that we will be here all day if they don't help!!

Wow we have over 6k through Tracy's steelmaster and don't have any of the problems you all are talkig about. It does have an aftec in it.

Bring your load down a touch...looks like 173PF 180grX960=172800...IDP #5 .401 Diameter .40 S&W/10mm 180 Grain TCFP Brinell 18 For Major Power Factor That bullet should be alright, might try another powder. I use 4.8 of N320 with lead and it seems to work great...Don't have the chrono numbers right now.. I use the Missouri for Cowboy action and precision bullets for uspsa and idpa. Going to switch to Bayou Bullets after i run out.

If you want real shotgun porting that works.....check out http://www.rhinochokes.com/gunsmithing_barrel.htm Joe Morales is a great guy and his stuff works...I have a 390 with angle porting and a barrel done by briley for the same gun....My 391 I had Joe do and it's feels alot better...Most of the Sporting clays world has Joe do the porting on there guns now.

Ok guys and gals which direction should I take for reloading 9mm....I only have the choice between Hornady Progressive Press and RCBS Progressive Press ....Dillon press is not in there.....I own a 1050 myself and there is no other choice for me. This for a new youth shooting club (SPP) starting up in south Texas and someone will be sponsoring a reloaded and these are the 2 his company sales. Thanks for your time!

If you want her to enjoy shooting put her in a 1911 open gun...38 super and load it down! I did that for years with my daughter and she loved it, till finding the world shotgun...Damn sporting Clays!

First off I would like to say Randy is spot ON with his post!! Well getting to follow the NSCA sporting circuit for the last 3 years with my daughter I have seen just about every size person whether male or female. I can tell you without any hesitation that a female of any size with a properly fitted gun can shoot a 12ga. My daughter has been shooting a 12ga since she was 12 years old (berretta 3901 1oz load) and had no problems. With over 100k of 12ga 7/8 shells loaded in the past 4 years there is nothing that kicks less than a 12ga 7/8 load going 1200fps. Please don't bring up 410 or 28ga unless rich!!!!LOL! The biggest marketing hoax out there is a 20ga has less recoil than a 12ga, not true by any stretch of the imagination! A 12ga shooting a 7/8oz load and 20ga shooting a 7/8 oz load both at 1200fps which kicks harder? The 20ga with a tighter overall inside barrel size which causes slightly higher pressure! Also most 20ga auto’s and O/U are lighter by 1 to 2 lbs which can cause a little more felt recoil. Now to load sizes 7/8oz patterns better than any 1 1/8 oz load that is the reason that scores have increased in the international shotgun games. Yes a 12ga does pattern better then a 20ga not because of more shot which actually cause a worse pattern, but because 7/8oz load in the 12ga barrel is not as compressed. Shea has won most her majors shooting fiocchi 7/8 training rounds going 1200fps which will cycle most auto’s that are broken in. Shea has been shooting a Blaser F3 since jan of 2010 which I have been told by some people to have a lot of recoil. The gun weight is 8lbs 3oz’s and fitted, she shoots anything from 1 oz (1180) to 7/8oz 1325 with little felt recoil. A normal practice for her is 4 rounds of skeet 4 rounds of trap and 3 rounds of 5 stand every other day for 2 months getting ready for the Texas 4H State and shoots about 500 practice birds a week the rest of the year. I always tell my 4H parents to try and get a used 390 or 391 B-gun or 1100 rem but please spend a little extra and have the gun fitted. Only time I even bring up 20ga is if they have one already and we want to see if the kid really likes to shoot

Might be the right call but we all would have beat the RO and Taken the timer! Just kidding! The RO was so embarrassed he told him to take a break and get reloaded! We did change score keeper, to give him a chance to change underpants....

Well I just saw this happen! The stage is laying on fake bed all mags and gun on table at buzzer get up and start engaging targets. four target in the room now open the door and keep shooting. Shooter forgets ammo on table, holds gun down range and runs back to retrieve the mags. Everything is good until the RO and Score keeper are caught off guard and freeze. Now both are looking at the muzzle and yell, shooter moves the gun away from them and break the 180!!!! Now what!!!!!

Wow never thought I would see this post. Looking for a load for my wifes STI steel master with a 95gr to 100gr bullet and ran across this old post.....By the way my 9 year old is now almost 17 and a AA in Sporting Clays! Wish I could have kept my little girl in pistol! Oh well Her Mom and I tring to get back into shooting and have been getting tuned up shooting steel around the area.

Guys i have been searching awhile and still have not found a load for my shorty that feels good. I have N350 8,2 with 125jhp felt like crap...3n38 10.5gr with 115 tons of flip. Worked that load up for my wife's 5" trubor and it super flat!

Have shot threads for years with reclaimed shot!!!!! I have 2 chokes for my 390 Mod and threads it will hit everything your shooting at with a good shooter(thats not me)!!!! Well over 10k in rounds through that gun...Other crack head things, dryfiring will kill your shotgun with out snap caps.....My daughter does about 75 mounts a day 7 days a week of dryfire and pulls the trigger 140 times in one session without snap caps and has been doing this for a year with her Blaser F3...Has not done one thing to the gun...Oh she also shoots threads with that gun sometimes and over 45K rounds in reclaim shot!

200 yard sight in plate at our high power range! Took 2 shoots with my 1911 45 and then I hit the 12" plate took my money and never looked back!!!!!!

Guys you also notice the name Sheila Brey in C-class...The first lady master in USPSA!!

Barrel and smith fitting....did my delta and kimber...180.00 for schuemann clasic and 125 to have the barrel fit....best thing I ever did with those guns!
