  1. That slide is incredibly neat, and makes a really unique build. A slide stop and barrel would help as well... (sorry for being so facetious)
  2. My thoughts are just to get a aluminum magwell and have it milled down... I'm just running the STI Tac magwell.
  3. An aluminum guide rod and I'm guessing a 14-16 lb spring. You might get a steel guide rod as well just to see if it makes weight.
  4. My trubor has an incredibly light trigger thanks to Eddie at Cameron's. You can have almost any weight trigger, just have to find someone that knows what their doing... Akai, and Cheely definitely know what their doing. The ignition kit they use has everything to do with it, which would make a much nicer trigger than the stock parts.
  5. Yeah I would say its hard to beat an eagle for an esp gun. I loked the first one so much I bought a second one
  6. Same exact load I'm using. getting about 134 PF out of an STI Eagle.
  7. I think you should be fine. There is a learning curve associated with both games in the shooting sports. Shooting either is the easiest way to learn imo.
  8. I paid 31.50/k for federal small pistol and small rifle match a few months ago. Got 10k of each locally. If you shop around online (gunbot) you can find stuff fairly cheap.
  9. #1 reason I don't load 45's anymore. Was loading one night and found one in my dillon 1050. KABOOM! thankfully the whole tube didn't go off, the flame that emitted from the priming station was something just trying to terrify me to death.
  10. Blake's burrito's are godly. Easily the best I've ever had for a restaurant burrito.
  11. This past Sunday morning one of the guys I waterfowl hunt with said "we really have to be dumb to actually hunt today." Nothing like getting out at 6 in the morning and setting up 18 dozen decoys when it's -20 below out... It was an awesome day, 8 man limit by 9am is always a good thing.
  12. The load I have set up for 10mm is 8.6gr of PP under a 180gr mg hp, and im getting just over 1200 fps. Somethings wrong. Definitely move the chrono back like Youngeyes suggested.
  13. Ive ran into the problem from unwanted brass at a local IDPA match. Im 100% sure it was just bad brass because i had at least 15 primers fall out of a batch (2k) I had loaded .
  14. I ran 10k wolf primers through 9mm loads that I ran off a 1050. The 19 lb main spring never failed me once. They were the nickel primers, not the brass ones.
  15. Not in Texas no beans in the Chili....... In Arizona, we love beans, and LOTS of green chilis. Therefore, we know what's up. #1 reason I love living in New Mexico. Chile on almost everything makes it that much better.
  16. Eddie did the trigger in my open gun. It is nothing short of amazing.
  17. If you get beat by Nils Jonasson (who's clearly a gamer because he smokes everyone) with his incredibly beautiful M2i, you still got beat. Regardless how much you have invested in your shooting gear. I've found that I shoot a 2011 better than a Glock, M&P, or Springfield. But still believe it's the Indian, and not the arrow.
  18. I rock the 29 with some 230pf loads every so often. It's fun stuff, but I don't really have all that many shells to load and it's a hassle changing the 1050 for large primers from the 9mm/38sc setups.
  19. You need to consider everything that goes into it... like little things such as feeding (30-50) people, pasters, targets, props and then the prize table organizing that has been going on for the past 6-8 months. It all adds up way to quick. I really don't think this is all that ridiculous considering the time it takes for the people running the match to get everything set up. Almost all the money goes into the prize table with with the remaining going to the club that put the match on. I'm sure going to the national competitions costs more because of the prize tables, the raffles are usually stacked with nicer things. Just something to consider.
  20. I was at 3.4843. Tried to go way to fast and had a miss on the far right target.
  21. Bill I'm glad you enjoyed the match. I can't say enough about how pleased I was with attitude of all the shooters, as it completely made the whole setup and help with the organizing the match worth my time. I hope to see you next year! -David, Your CSO from stage 8.
  22. Check out Butch's reloading. I've gotten quite a bit of stuff through them; It also helps that they are local to me.
  23. 115gr MG, 9.3gr IMR 4756 at 1.235 is what I'm running. Shoots flat and the primers look fine.
  24. For a 45 go .415-.420 in the back and taper it about .005. Hope this helps.
