  1. I know this is an older thread, but has anybody had any experience with this machine?
  2. Hi Sir, I run 5 gallons of brass with 5 gallons of water, add dawn dish soap and lemi shine. I let that run for 45 min, and then drain the water and add another 5 gallons of water to rinse for 5 minutes. After the rinse, I drain the water and dump the brass into mesh bag and lay it out to air dry for about an hour giving it a roll every no and then to move the brass around. At the end of the hour, the brass is certainly not completely dry, but a little moisture on the brass helps cut down on the dust. Once the brass is semi dry, it goes back in the cement mixer with a 5 gallon bucket of harbor freight walnut media. I will tumble it for 45 minutes or so. I use the media separator that goes inside a 5 gallon bucket. I did wrap the fins that are inside of the cement mixer with some gorilla tape or thick duck tape to give them some padding. When I first started using the mixer, i noticed some dings in the brass.
  3. I run a .110 rear and a .090 front.. I would like to try a manny dot, but I feel like a .070 front will be too narrow with a .110 rear. Based on what cha lee said maybe not?
  4. Based on the thought process of th ocw, It looks like you have a little something between 44.4 and the 44.7. You definitely have something there at 43.8, you see very little change in the avg center of the poi. If the velocity at 43.8 is suitable, I'd run that and start messing with neck tension and seating depth. did you run this test round robin?
  5. I run my brass through a cement mixer I bought at harbor freight. I run my brass with the primers still in. I can do a five gallon bucket of 40 brass per run it comes out pretty good!
  6. Blue Bullets have been my go to for some time now. I load the .400 180 gn Bullets and they weigh out to 181 and some change. I have never seen one fall under 180.
  7. I am unaffiliated as well. I bought 1000 180 gn to try in my limited gun. The bullets measure .400, and even though they currently have a lube groove, I was able to load them long. Everything else checks out, they are accurate and the coating seems to be quite good. I have spoken to Todd a few times and in every instance he was more than accommodating. If you have any questions on load data, shoot me a PM.
  8. I run irions, and shoot both eyes open. Targets at a further distance, I think i give my non dominant eye a slight squint to make sure my dominant eye is 100% in control. If that makes any sense.
  9. No kids or neighbors around, but I try to get them back into the safe when I am finished for them for the day. Its a crazy world out there for sure...
  10. ZZT. For what it is worth, I am no open shooter, but I have tested Blue Bullets with great success in my open gun. I know other open shooters have been pleased with them as well. Good luck
  11. Thanks Cha Lee, Im going to give this a go this weekend. Being a B shooter, shot calling is something is is difficult for me to do and usually the first thing that goes when I am on the clock. Calvin
  12. Yes they are. I am no bob the builder, and know my limitations. That bench was the perfect solution.
  13. Midsouth Shooters Supply has/had clays in stock.
  14. I bought this workbench from sams. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/ultra-heavy-duty-workbench/prod1490086.ip The dimensions are 72"L x 25"W x 38"H. 38" is just about the perfect height to sit at the press and reload. Calvin

  18. Barebones nailed it. Find the MD and he will get you lined out and with the right squad to follow and learn. You will find that USPSA shooters are good people and for the most part will help in any way that they can. Most of us didnt start that long ago, so don't be afraid to ask questions. Let us know how it goes. Calvin
