  1. I'm a bottom of the barrell B class.... I never expect to do well
  2. I paid 39.99 plus shipping for mine. MickB has the manufacturers info. Great people to talk to and a great product.
  3. I'm running a versamax tacitcal with an extended endcap that allows plus two from the factory endcap. It does stick out from the end of the barrell but all you get is a little carbon build up on it. If it's black then it's not even a cosmetic issue. The VM tactical is the softest shooting shotgun that I've ever shot (I've shot everything from FN SLP, Benellis, Remington 1100, ect). It's a great gun and it needs very little to get started. If you really want to upgrade it by opening the loading gate, welding the lifter (which I'd recommend as it'll get your thumb bleeding if you're not careful). Just my two cents. Good luck with your decision. And plus 1 to what MickB said.
  4. I compete with 2011s, 1911, and M&P's. I usually carry a h&k p2000, or an LCR/LCP. That being said I still carry a 1911 at times. I think being proficient with your weapon is the most important thing. For instance, I dry fire with my 2011 and 1911s more than my carry guns so operating the safteys are is second nature both on and off. just my two cents.
  5. I have 2 limited guns. one is a para and the other a custom built sti. I personally like the sti frame better. Parts are slightly easier to find and magazines are easier to find tuned up. That being said, you can't go wrong with para or sti. I've never shot a caspian framed gun so I can't speak to them, but I was under the impression mags are hard to find for them... I could be way wrong that though. So thats my opinion, good luck with your choice!
  6. Geez didnt know he was still around. I couldn't believe it... Turns out social darwinism/natural selection isn't as effective as we once thought... Kidding of course I think he makes his stupid rants controvertial on purpose in an attempt to be relevant. 4
  7. Who knows. This clown had a whole YouTube channel full of ridiculous proclamations. He's an expert don't cha know. Apparently anyone on YouTube is, just ask them
  8. That was freaking awesome. My new hero for sure!!! :roflol:
  9. I've used both the dawson and the techwell. I personally like the techwell a little better in that its easier to seat the magazines. I use wilson ETMs and the dawson is a little too deep to get them to seat consistently. Than being said if you're using longer base pads then there's nothing wrong with the dawson at all. I think you'll be happy either way. Hope that helps.
  10. My father started me out shooting at a very young age. I believe I was 4 or 5. But only with his undivided supervision and endless saftey lessons. I shot somewhat regularly until I was 13 and shot my first ipsc/uspsa match and it's been my addiction ever since. I do agree it depends on the child and their maturity/temperment.
  11. I've noticed recently that at major matches I shoot around 62-63%. Which also happens to be around what my classifier averages are. Is that what Flex meant by his theory? Also I've been guilty of coming up with the "perfect plan". I was at a club match recently and thought I'd found the perfect gamer plan to shoot a stage. Then I watched a Master class shooter run through the stage normally (or what would appear to be the most obvious way of shooting it) and he smoked it. I learned that sometimes simplicity is the best course of action.
  12. Sofa is a good place to start. haha well played sir
  13. 5 Rounds of Fight Gone Bad two days ago and I'm still sore! Its like Funishment
  14. I think they're all good to go. I've played with the DMPS and the Stag 3g rifles and I think they're pretty awesome. I like the look of the Colt the best personally but looks don't do anything for performance. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
  15. Thanks for the info... now to find the cash
  16. So... Ya'll will forgive me for being confused (I'm a little slow anyway). Is the Akai version they have on their sight production legal? Second, I'm looking into getting an SP01 or a Shadow for production, so not to hijack the thread but where do I go about finding one already "custom" and ready to go?
  17. That looks like fun (in a horrible sorta way). I may have to try it this week. I'll let you know if I live!
  18. Eddie Garcia probably ran a Camerons Custom 2011. Taran Probably ran a Taran Tactical modified infinity.
  19. After having used a 5" gun for limited for several years I switched to a 6" for this season. That being said there is a huge difference for me. As stated I'm able to be more precise with the longer gun. I thought I completely missed a few rounds on longer targets at matches only find I actually hit Cs when I thought it was a miss. The recoil impulse is way different. I've experienced almost zero muzzle rise using major power factor ammo. Granted that is just my experience. Somewhat less technical than some of the above posters; but I'm not the smartest dude on the block so, sadly, Math was never my strong point.
  20. If I'm not doing something that requires my full attention, I'm thinking about some kind of shooting.
  21. Wait... You're supposed to use those things?
  22. I'm curious to see what you've got in the works. The Load 2 Vest you built has been awesome. And for purposes of this thread I'd say Mr. Otto is the way to go.
  23. I say colt... but I have absolutely zero experience with any of them. I like the colt because of the trigger it comes with, the surefire break, the adjustable gas block (for suppressed fireif you want)and because it looks really pretty. I plan on picking one up as soon as I can spare the pennies. As far as optics I run a US Optics SN4 (but there are tons of other great scopes out there for less $) and I'm gonna spring for the JP short range off set sights soon.
  24. +1 on the versamax tactical. I've burned through several hundred rounds of various light field/target ammo and it's been flawless. I have literally no experience with the sx2 though.
