  1. I went with both. Bought the JP XL and a Carbon Arms tube to try out with the JP barrel nut. If you're looking for a JP I have one in Round Rock. CM
  2. The caddy keeps the two shells end to end but once you remove them they are free in your hand. If you look at CarbonArms.us you can see a few other videos about it to get a better idea. CM
  3. You'll be fine running the +8. Pretty sure I've seen Jesse Tischauser with a stainless magazine tube longer than that even. CM
  4. I think the new Troy rails work with the milspec nut. CM
  5. Great information guys, I'm going to sight in my new 34 when I get a chance but I have an adjustable rear. CM
  6. Light JP barrel for me, 18" with a PRS balances very well because I have an XL tube but shorter arms. CM
  7. Blaster, if you google tuning the Rolling Thunder you'll find a Brownells link to a short I guide written by Jesse Tischauser. CM
  8. Everyone's experiences are going to be a bit different. I usually set it at 1 but I've seen them set from noon to nearly 3. Play around with it and see what works best for you. CM
  9. Yes. The general issue with the reduced power striker spring is that it can create issues with harder primers not going off because the striker doesn't strike the primer as hard as the factory spring. The solution, especially if you load, is to know what primers you're working with and remain consistent in your ammo selections. Which is something someone competing should try and do anyway. If you still have trouble with it you can either buy an extended tip striker, or go back to the factory spring. As for the plunger spring, I don't think I've ever heard of any issue with it. As far as I know it will lighten the trigger pull but doesn't do anything to reliability. Do you have a source or link to these complaints? CM
  10. +1 for Larue. If you can get past the awful fanboys and just look at the quality of the parts they manufacture you'll never be wrong with a Larue product. Their customer service in unbeatable too. CM
  11. My preference is the Titan brake but the Rolling Thunder, JP, PRI, and a handful of others are all going to serve you well. CM
  12. Sold out very early this morning. Had 8 when I ordered and 1 this morning. CM
  13. Lane uses the candle method to reduce the grip shape, epoxy to fill it, and the rest is filing and smoothing. CM
  14. Nothing in particular, I've always heard M2's have trouble with light loads on occasion so I was curious if your's was working well with the light stuff. It's my own form of envy while I wait for mine to be finished. I sent mine in before taking a shot with it after I nearly took off my thumb nail loading it! Mine is going to be exactly like your M2 except I'm having Mike take a little more off the bolt and machine the tab off my BFB so it will spin when it's in the bolt...and I went with the stipple because it is going to be a hot, sweaty summer in central Texas. CM
  15. I've never done the deed but I'd imagine if you remove weights without filling the void what is left might be able to slide around creating an unpredictable weight shift within the buffer. Like I say, don't know it as a fact or even own a rifle buffer to check but it sounds reasonable. CM
  16. Did you shoot light loads with it right out of the box or did you start with heavy loads? CM
  17. Thanks for the heads up! I'll have to see if I can cancel my back order with JP in the morning before putting my order in. Update: JP cancelled my order without any issue and I have one on order from just down the road now! CM

    G22 ejector

It came polished from Glocktriggers. CM
  19. Mine should be coming back in a few weeks. That looks awesome! Have you tried loading it yet? CM

    G22 ejector

Try the straight one, it won't hurt anything and my polished ejector works fine with my conversion barrel. CM
  21. That's an awesome idea. Next time I stop by Lowes I'm going to grab a handful of 2x2's to make a tree out of 2 liter bottles at the bottom and work out to those tiny coke bottles. I can't believe I never thought of something like this before! CM

    G22 ejector

Glockworx has an extended titanium ejector. CM
  23. You'll need to buy a conversion barrel from somewhere like Lonewolf or KKM to shoot 9mm through your 35. I never had to change my extractor to keep it reliable but at the first hint of a problem I would. CM
  24. I love Larue products but for the price, the weight, and the six month wait there are far better options for a 3 gun rifle out there. I was planning on buying a PredatOBR when they came out as an all-around rifle but my buddy is on week 23 of his wait for a PredatAR that was quote at 8. I understand why the wait is so long, but 6 months is a looooong time for someone just looking to get into shooting. CM
  25. That is something I have been researching and the only answer I found by someone I would trust (I think it was Trapr?) was that the gas block would fit but you can't tighten the block in place before twisting/locking the rail in place and you have to drill a hole in the handguard to tighten the screws on the gas block. Sounded like too much of a hassle for me because I don't have the tools to do the job so I ordered the XL JP handguard from Shootersconnection. CM
