  1. Shootersconnectionstore. Site sponsor and great folks to deal with. CM
  2. The tape trick and bench rest pistol shooting worked wonders for me and really "opened my eyes" to what I was missing. For whatever reason I feel the urge to flinch when I shoot with one eye open only but when I finally managed to keep both open and actually see what was happening around me I could finally follow my shots/sights and identify a ton of problems I was having with transitions and sight alignment on the move. CM
  3. I've got one and love it but I'm not nearly as accurate as some of these guys so I'm more concerned about does it go bang every time and no matter what I've tried to do to it, it just keeps working. CM
  4. Job very well done! I thought about picking that one up also but I knew I'd end up making it look worse if I tried to do the job myself. What are your plans with? CM
  5. If I drop them in the dust at Best of the West (Texas Multigun Range) I'll hit them with a can of compressed air and a dry rag. I use Dawson extensions so if they're really bad I can take them apart to dust out the inside and check the spring every now and then. CM
  6. Seekins has them listed on their web store for $130. CM
  7. Is what worth it? The JM v. buying the waterfowl model and have Benny do the work? How do the prices compare and what is Benny doing or it in this scenario? CM
  8. If you buy the HandStop with the OBR insert you can file the edges of the stop so the back is flat and screw it in to be extra low profile and not take an entire rail section to put on. It's been done with Troy rails quite a bit. CM
  9. Don't know about AZ but if you ship to TX Cold Bore Customs is priced right, does fantastic work the right way, and has a quick turn around. CM
  10. Looks exactly like mine aside from the ZT trigger and I got Dawson Sights. It's a great shooter, for sure.
  11. Has anyone had any trouble with the install on these? As easy as it is to install I seemed to have done something wrong because mine sticks out too far from the receiver extension and I have to depress it with my finger and slam my receivers together to get the pins in. Standard A2 extension, PRS stock, JP Silent Capture Spring for the ar-15...just can't figure out what I'm overlooking. Anyone have any advice? UPDATE: Got on the phone with JP and found out my SCS had the wrong spring put on it. If anyone has any issues with your SCS or just want to make sure you got the right parts can count the coils and you should have 30 for the ar-15 version. And of course, JP is making it right. -Clint
  12. Very promising! I have an FSL 8 on order right now so any tips you have on getting that load down smoothly would be appreciated. CM
  13. I don't know about the suppressor, but the barrel on the Texas Ranger rifles are 14.5" with the PST. The Surefire cans work really well on the. 18" predatAR. CM
  14. Is that as close as you can mount the caddies in the front? CM
  15. Something I have always preferred for my waist size (30 with a full stomach) is to just pocket the rifle mag. Most of the time you won't need more than one 30 rounder and you can always extend a Pmag to 48 if you find you do need more. CM
  16. Looks like it will be very functional to start. You'll probably find you need more shot shell caddies but I'd start with what you have an expand from there. Try other's gear before buying too much of anything and being stuck with gear you're not confident in. CM
  17. Not at Baylor but I spoke with him today and he's retired too. Guess I'll have to shoot your PredatAR instead. CM
  18. Very cool! One of my professors is a Texas Ranger, I'll have to ask him if he is getting one of these. CM
  19. I don't know a lot about Beretta shotguns but if you haven't bought it I know where you can get a 21" M2 if you're still looking. CM
  20. Mine have held a fantastic zero when taking them off in cleaning and putting them right back on but every time I go to the range I'll still shoot a 3 round test to make sure it is still perfect. Make sure you have the throw levers tightened enough and push the mount forward as you put it on to keep it secure against the rail. CM
  21. You're better than ok, you're doing great if all you have is some minor stinging and a good story! You might want to try your hand at the lottery before your blessings run out. Clint
  22. Glocktriggers Edge is well worth the cost for me. I shoot several Glocks and have done a ton of trigger jobs myself, some great, some just okay, but having the consistency from gun to gun in trigger feel is invaluable to me. CM
  23. Ugh, thieves just make my blood boil. I'll never understand the mentality that would drive someone to help themselves to another's property. How much more pathetic can you be? CM
  24. Those Lancers look great but they sure are proud of them...$$$ CM
