  1. If you are running the 8.5 lb spring, you want to seat the primers as deep as pssible.
  2. I thought CCP was to be 3.8" or less which takes out the G19 and G23. I believe the Canik Stingray with its 3.5" barrel and heavy steel frame will be the ticket.
  3. I am also left eye dominant and right handed. I spend a lot of time dry firing and shooting strong hand and that helped me with becoming comfortable shooting using my right eye. Now I can use either eye.
  4. I have an SP01 Shadow and a Regular SP01. Both are sporting 4.5 DA/ 2.5 DA pulls ATM. I am using the 11 lb CGW hammer spring. Use of Federal primers is highly reccomended. You can easily run a Bear Creek 147g FP from 1.130 to 1.150. I had excellent results from Titegroup and SOLO 1000 with these loads.
  5. Well SSP and ESP have a PF minimum of 125. CDP has to be .45 ACP and a PF of 165. I believe SSR is 115.I doubt any club Chronographs anyone's loads unless it is a sanctioned match.
  6. CDP needs to make 165.Have you chronoed that load?
  7. I like the stock 1 grips but the nill grips look so much nicer.
  8. I have the current railed version. Like I said, the website says its 44, but without a mag its just under 39 ounces and just a hair over 42 ounces with a mag. There appears to be some minor milling on the frame that may have reduced the weight a touch. 43 ounces is the weight limit in SSP, ESP, and CDP now. I am deciding to run ESP or CDP ATM.
  9. Hello, I searched around but I couldn't find out if it was possible to just buy a single sided safety that was shaped like the more Expensive Tanfoglios that would fit a Match Elite. Here is a pic of what I am referring to: http://eaacorp.com/portfolio-item/witness-match-xtreme-tanfoglio/"
  10. That is excellent news. Which backstrap will it be for?
  11. I contacted Dawson Precision before Christmas and they have not decided if they were going to make one.
  12. Well I like the return spring setup on the Henning trigger as well as the different lengths of pull that is available. I am guessing a bronze bushing could be put on the Henning trigger but it is a bit more costly than I would like
  13. Which length trigger did you use?
  14. Does that mean it is possible to do this cut on the newer Tanfoglio slides, such as the match elite, to install it?
  15. Has anyone used one of these in person? I think it would be an excellent option if it could be made to work on the CZ75 platform. Here is the link from the Henning website. http://henningshop.com/t/flat-trigger-system
  16. Its an Xtreme 124gr rn. The crimp is perfect. I may be over charging the using 4.5gr on powder. I just ordered a case of bayou bullets 9mm 124 gr RN, i hope to have better luck with those. How are you verifying that your crimp is perfect? 4.5g is probably exceeding the book pressures for that load. What OAL are you using? Are you chronographing these loads and looking at the primers afterwards? Sorry for the late response, we had a pretty nasty storm here in the north east. To verify my crimp, i pulled at least 20 rounds to check the bullet for any visible signs on a heavy crimp. I have a very, and i mean extremely faint line going around the bullet. To see it, i have to shine a light on it. Honestly, the line is more faint than the factory machining marks left on the plating. I load all my 9mm to 1.125-1.129 OAL for all my 9mm. I ran a chrono when setting up the load. Initially i used Montana gold projectiles at the time, so i am pretty sure the grouping issue is due to the amount of powder. My chrono has since been destroyed. Ill probably pick up another at the next gun show in my area. I hate buying online and getting over charged for a chrono. Well you can buy a ProChrono on Amazon prime for under $100. Are you weighing how much powder you are throwing? I usually prime the powder thrower a few times before I weigh 6 charges or so to see if I have a variation of .2g or less. If that checks out, then I go ahead and make a few hundred rounds. I had the little plastic square piece that moves the powder bar back and forth fall off once and it was making my powder throws inconsistent. The only thing you can do is to eliminate every variable. Another thing you can do is to simply change out the bullets you are using. With the exception of Berry's bullets, I typically don't care for the plated stuff.
  17. you can do better than that. you can get aussie length 9mm barrels from CZ USA + CZC. The aussie kadet barrels are the normal barrel just with an extension added. No reason you couldn't get the same thing done by a smith in the US (that's how it's done in aus). Ah, so its not really a longer barrel then?
  18. I bought it for looks and to give me an extra 1 to 2 extra PF.
  19. The issue isn't with OEM springs. The light primer strike issue occurs when you run lighter hammer springs and or a lighter hammer. Primers with softer cups like Federal and Winchester usually work fine for that. CCI and Wolf/Tula SPP can be problematic. I went to a 13 lb hammer spring (16 lbs is stock) on a SIg Sauer P228 once and it detonated less than 20 out of 100 rounds with hand seated Wolf primers. It worked just fine with Winchester or Federal primers. I had similar issues with CCI, but only half as bad. I noticed that I never have an issue with light primer strikes with 1911 type pistols though.
  20. Well there are two things you can do in that situation. 1. Helicoil the grip screw hole. 2. If grip screw hole is fine, you can widen the holes in the grips to make it easier to reinstall.
  21. As long as you look good while throwing Delta's and Mike's, and no hits, its all good.
  22. Well Bullseye is a fantastic powder but it is very easy to double or even triple charge the case without noticing a difference and I find it a little on the dirty side.
