    P320 X-VTAC

Acquired one of these in a trade. Am interested in if anyone knows if the X-Carry Slide will fit on the X-VTAC frame. I believe they are the same frame. Same magazine capacity.
  2. Has anyone done a side by side comparison of the two kits?
  3. Agree 100%. This is why for precision rifle loads I measure OAL with the Hornady Comparator at the ogive. Not sure if there are inserts large enough to do pistol calibers or it'd be worth the time but it's a fact that even the nicer match grade rifle bullets can vary in length.
  4. I'll mind my business. I've only fit a couple hundred of these.
  5. The orange area you refer to is flat, rests outside of the frame, and has no contact with the hammer. Still waiting.................
  6. Thanks Top, but where was that Appendix? In the base Rulebook?
  7. I've been shooting CO recently too and just been keeping mags behind my hip bone
  8. This confused me. Says see Appendix E3. Where can I find Appendix E3?
  9. Lead vs. plated vs. jacketed should have nothing to do with feeding. OAL would be the first thing I'd look at if you're certain your issue is ammo related. I go to 1.140 on 147 RNs for my builds. If you're not 100% positive it's ammo it could be a myriad of other things. More details on the issues your having would help.
  10. A correctly fit 1911/2011 Thumb Safety in no way 'blocks' the hammer. Change my mind.
  11. I don't know that I'd jump to the issue being insufficient clearance. Some marks on the barrel chamber area and lugs are common. A gun doesn't run 5-6K rounds and all of a sudden have clearance issues. My guess is something got in the action and created that burr. I'd get rid of the burr before shooting it anymore, but wouldn't be too worried once it was gone. Shoot it some more and keep an eye on it.
  12. I've seen the same issues and usually it has to do with the second round being pushed forward in the tube when the first round is chambered. I've even seen it on first round from slide lock if the round wasn't pushed all the way back in the tube. I've moved and had most of my shooters move to the CMC XP mags. No issues with the rounds moving because of the feedlip style.

  14. I've built a 2011 with a 6" top end in 40 and another in 9mm. Was fairly easy to do.
  15. How are you measuring this play? Estimate? I agree that it should be plenty accurate but if it bothers you I'd look for a professional to laser weld the frame rails and refit.
  16. Tripp mags are bulletproof in 45. In 9mm I prefer the new Chip McCormick XP 10rders. The Tripp 9mm mags are good too but if the top round isn't fully seated to the rear it can cause nose dive on slide lock reload.
  17. Take it to a gunsmith. A Colt sear spring is $6 and a fair gunsmith shouldn't charge much to tune it and make sure nothing else is going on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. TBH I'm not sure but I do know that a Gen 4 Apex extractor worked in my Gen 3 G19 build. You also have to use their spring and they recommend the latest spring loaded bearing. It's all on their site. https://store.apextactical.com/WebDirect/Products/Details/191895
  19. I'll reinforce the recommendations for Melonite/Black Nitride. I use H&M as well. As long as you're good with Black, it's the best treatment out there.
  20. The Apex extractor will solve this problem.
  21. Yup Melonite is the same. The issue is the temperature at which it's done. It's a fantastic finish but can make thin parts like the posts on that hammer brittle. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Yup. The Ed Brown GS fits very well with STI 2011 frames. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Your SA rear sight is an LPA cut. I'm sure Dawson makes a replacement with tritium vials. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
