  1. Can you really tell if the safety is on or off with an ar type rifle?
  2. I had terrible luck with the sport ears. They broke every time I wore them. I ended up getting a refund.
  3. All of the ammo my PD has been using for the past few years is crimped primer pockets.
  4. https://www.valleyvet.com/swatches/16388_L_001_vvs.jpg Get one like this
  5. I doubt I will find a way to shoot them side by side.
  6. What was the masters match?
  7. There is a sig mpx for sale here in the forums
  8. I just had my money refunded on a pair of sportears. I received them around Christmas time I had them back in the shop several times. Once because the programming was messed up, then they fell apart, the electronics stopped working and then they fell apart again. I returned them in June. I expected more for the 1700.00 they cost me.
  9. So why is l 10 important if you don't shoot it when you travel?
  10. Blaster when you come to nationals do you shoot l10?
  11. I suggested a video tutorial on another thread. They were able to show us how to handle the gun via you tube. We had our firts guy run a pcc. I think he was the only one who knew the rules.
  12. Yup doing nothing is a way better idea then doing any training.
  13. Ever dryfire at a match hotel? You ever dry fire anywhere? What's your point? My point is most of the rules get broken when you do that. Ok. So how does one dry fire safely? And what is different between dry fire and live shooting at a match? When I dryfire at home its in the basement at cement walls. When I dryfire at the match hotel, like most folks I am breaking the safety rules and hope I don't get caught. By getting caught I mean some sort of accident where a round is fired. When I am at the match I actually fire rounds under the watchful eye of the ro. He helps me remember the safety rules. Once I am done shooting I am on my own to follow the rules with a slim chance of enforcement actions being taken. I have already demonstrated I am better then the safety rules because I was standing in my hotel room pointing my guns at the people in the room next to me. How worried will I be about sweeping someone when I bend over if no one is watching.
  14. If you look back up a few posts I kind of stirred things up when I suggested USPSA rushed the division out without properly preparing for it. I proposed that USPSA put an on line video tutorial for the members/RO folks about PCC. Mike did one to show us it was safe and how PCC shooters could do anything a hand gun shooter could do. Would it be hard to go through and show and discuss the new rules: Range command bagging, transporting of rifle from pit to pit. What to do with it when you are supposed to be helping run the stage etc. ? Some of you folks want this to work and come from a 3 gun background so this is all easy for you. I have a match at my home club this weekend and have no idea what I am going to do if a rifle shooter shows up. I bet he would be the only one that knows all the new rules.

  16. USPSA handgun matches don't use the multi gun rulebook
  17. Mark I disagree with you. I think a person should have some sort of training before they RO. It helps with the match flow and quality when the rules are known and applied consistently. I know lots of folks that will not hold a timer. Is the lack of preparation by USPSA a reason to kill PCC ? No but it is a reason to delay the roll out or for clubs to hold back and not run it. I wouldn't say a rifle is safer then a pistol. I have been flagged and seen more things shot by accident with a long gun then any hand gun. I am the president of my USPSA club. I have not received any correspondence from USPSA (unless I asked a question) about PCC. I feel it was poorly planned out and rushed implemented.
  18. I am not a fan of PCC. My club will allow it. What bothers me is I might have guys show up at my July match wanting to shoot PCC and there is no RO training for the PCC rules other then reading a post on the web page. Mike was able to show us via video how PCC can work. Why not a video walking RO's through how to run the rifle shooters. It seems like a poorly implemented idea. Its not like rolling out CO its a totally different animal.
  19. This is the exact reason that I didn't like the "new division but MD's can just not offer it" approach. There are MD's that won't offer it for a plethora of reasons and that introduces fragmentation to the USPSA product. You no longer have the same experience from one club to the next. Imagine how upset you would be if you showed up to a USPSA match and they told you "sorry, no open guns at this match". I don't blame MD's that are skeptical. There is a lot more going on than many are willing to admit. Stage design and stage briefs must consider PCC as well as making sure that every squad that has a PCC shooter has at least one RO that is familiar with 3 gun long gun etiquette. Stage design is not supposed to consider pcc. They want to shoot the stages we have now.
  20. I was dqed for using safety circle with a hand gun
