  1. We don't shoot paper in three gun with shotguns loaded with shot and not that often with slugs either. We use steel and clays for shotguns. The stage issue is a non issue. Keep doing what your doing and let the PCC division sort out where it may. Pat Pat have you done this at your club? The stage design issue is an issue. If you don't think allowing rifles to compete in a pistol match will change the way the pistol match is set up and run you have not been around very long. Why do we want to add a rifle division to a pistol match? Are we going to have PCC open. PCC limited PCC tactical PCC production PCC limited 10
  2. I don't see why. It is entirely possible to shoot a semi-auto long gun with one hand/shoulder. the same is true with strong hand/weak hand... just shoot off the applicable shoulder. In some cases it will be easier than with pistol, in some cases harder, but PCCs will only be competing with other PCCs so who cares? No need. Just design the stages exactly as you would for pistol-only shooters... the timer will rank the PCC shooters even if the shots are "easy". It would be an issue. If you think it would not be considered in stage set up you must not get out much. Stages are already set up to favor or test one hand gun over the other. Some stages are more open friendly some stages are set up so a limited gun and open gun score is real close. Some stages are production friendlier then others etc. So some stages would of course be rifle stages.
  3. Why would it? You forget that clubs have already been beta-testing PCCs in matches for awhile with no concessions to the division in terms of stage design. I can't think of anything on a field course you could do with a handgun that you can't do with a rifle. I can think of things a rifle can do that a pistol can't. Making use of deep wide bays could turn the pistol shooters into cross country runners so the guys shooting the pistol match with a rifle can test their long range skill. I have also shot matches where you have to call stuff in one hand or had to hold a rail so you can lean out around a wall and shoot with one hand. I didn't forget someone said a club was testing the idea out. I have not heard of any discussion about this prior to the last few days. If you are testing something and you want it to work it works. I was not there but I would say they set the matches up focused on making it work. I wonder what those matches would have been like for the handgun shooters if it was a pistol only match. I was asked" why do I care? If id don't like it don't shoot it". I don't think its that simple. I have a lot of mt time invested in this sport and I care more then most. All clubs have guys like me I am an officer in the club. I am always at match set up people are always asking me to look at their stages to make sure they are fun, safe, follow the rules offer enough challenges etc. I also travel out of state and shoot other matches so I do care about the QUALITY of USPSA handgun matches. I am more concerned in what the addition of a rifle division will do to the pistol shooting them I am the rifle. So why do we want to allow rifles to compete at a uspsa handgun match? I feel like I have been made fun of with the responses I have had directed at me. BTW I drive a big truck and don't care if you have a little car. But I do not think any one has given me a reason to allow rifles at a pistol match other then it would be fun and why do you care. Why can't PCC be its own thing? Is it too much work? Is it not worth the work? I can shoot 3 gun on one weekend and USPSA the next. Why do I have to choose between my pistol or rifle at the pistol match?
  4. So I have not seen anyone actually explain why we should change our rules to allow rifles at USPSA handgun matches? I am the president of the local USPSA club frequent MD and RO. There is more to this then adding rifle rules to the handgun rule book, The equipment we use dictates how matches are set up. Think about it we have all been to matches where the stages were set up to favor one division over the other. I can see stages set up playing to the strength of a rifle and not being much fun to shoot with a pistol. I can see where running and gunning with a PCC would be fun. Not much recoil and easy to shoot. I have shot a few of them and its fun. I might have given PCC a try if I didn't have to pass on shooting the pistol match. When I mentioned the shot gun you laugh and say you would have to reload to often. The do it in 3 gun They shoot paper and steel. its all figured out. I don't really want shot guns at the pistol match either. I do not think PCC is a bad idea I just feel it shouldn't be part of a handgun match. I will say it again PCC will change course design and I am not sure we want to go down that road.
  5. But we only have handgun rules.USPSA multigun? If you are at a multi gun match you use multi gun rules if you are at a uspsa Handgun match you use the handgun rules.
  6. I do not see why we want to have rifles at a pistol match. If you are going to adjust the rules so you can use a long gun why not allow shot guns too?
  7. I spend more time keeping the rf 100 running then if I just loaded the tubes by hand.
  8. The gun used in that video is an older SVI imm 9mm. I am loading Ramshot Silhouette and MG 124's for a 175 pf
  9. Eric, I have a racemaster and hate it. Ernie sent me a replacement clamp.
  10. It was a little weird looking through the camera and trying to keep the dot in view, but I didn't see all of that movement. That gun appears to be a very flat shooting gun.
  11. I have one of the new Ernie Hill holsters. I can not get it to stay in the position I want it t be in. I have tightened the clamp up to the max and it will still move out of adjustment. Any one else have this issue?
  12. I would say the shooter does influence the gun. I shot three different set ups and found one to be quite a bit better then the other two.
  13. I think how the dot returns is more important then how flat the gun is. I shot three different open guns today. The one I liked the best had the dot return to zero the cleanest.
  14. I spoke with the guys from ear at the nationals. Their stuff sounded good. Do they discount you for the price of the impression?
  15. The base was small the poppers were light
  16. I liked the popper design they used at this years nationals. Does anyone know what company carries that design?
  17. What happened? Bullets started hitting the comp.
  18. I didn't notice the size of them. Is one better then he other?
  19. You will be happy with your choice. Matt is a stand up guy.
  20. I put my chrono in one of the plastic barrels we all use on the range.
