Something to think about when you are standing there watching the shooter go through his LAMR dance. Not only are you a RO at some point you also are a shooter who may need a sextra second or two. I think its range set up pasting and score keeping more then the shooters dance that slows a squad down. I know when I have an efficent squad its way easier and quicker for me as the RO.

I think there is another post about this issue. If I remember correctly they corrected the problem by turning down the neck of the expander. I tried to use some .355 in my super no matter what I tried they would not stay put. They would push into the case.

People do some strange things thats for sure. I had a shooter who insetred his mag and took it out about four time before he holstered. He then blew his reloads.

I agree with the relax advise. Most time when a person shoots low on a target and cant explain it is because the are trying to control the recoil and pushing the gun down when they pull the trigger

I use one of those cheap blue tarps and some tent stakes to hold it down.

I just call my first shooter to the line and clear the range. They are told in the breifing that they get 5 to figure things out. The order is known at that time also. It takes the I am not ready out of the picture.

I have been shooting .38 super for the past ten years or so. I have only bought 2000 pieces of brass. I have about 500 unfired cases still. How much you get back at the monthly club match depends on who you shoot with. I shoot only one or two lost brass matches. I RO at one lost brass match and end up with half a bucket or so of brass

What do the trainers teach to every day gun users (cops) not the high speed guys. I know some of the people on this forum are training oficers. I know my guys give me a hard time when I teach tatical mag changes or mag retention changes. They tell me they would never do that on the street. Sorry if this post does not realy go with the heading.
