  1. Shot steel challenge from 1984 till around 1996-boring.
  2. Try this...don't pay yer uspsa activity count and do a match where the best 1 hit on paper counts. Interesting stuff. WTF are are shooting twice? Saves a sh$t load of ammo.
  3. I'm thinking the sponsors could give a fat rat's arse about this...what would it do for them regarding publicity? Just sayin'...
  4. IMA-SMM3G rules: 6.1.6 Knock-down targets will be calibrated before the event begins. 6.1.6.1 Handgun targets will be calibrated with a 9mm handgun using factory ammunition. 6.1.6.2 Shotgun targets will be calibrated with a 20 gauge shotgun, barrel length not to exceed 26”, using a factory 2½ dram, 7/8 ounce load of 7½ or 8 birdshot. 6.1.6.3 The Range Master will designate specific supplies of 9mm and 20 gauge ammunition, and one or more handguns and shotguns, to be used as official calibration tools only by the Range Master or designated testing personnel. Designated calibration firearms and ammunition are not subject to challenge. Thus the competitor has to use some common sense - if they choose to run ultra-light loads, they roll the dice on whether their ammo will drop steel. No power factor required. A well aware of IMGA rules. Actually, a power factor IS required as you state ( I.e. 9mm "factory ammo"). Again, just sayin' it is a bit strange.
  5. This is bizarre-how can you have calibration, which is based on power factor, used in time plus where there is no power factor? Just sayin'...
  6. Never had them weighed. Flew SW 2 days ago and they don't even weigh oversized bags! Coulda had a body inside my pelican and no one would have known.
  7. To me that kinda sounds like dumbing it down.I don't want to see match directors dumb it down. Hell I'd like to be able to shoot a popper with buckshot if it's got flipped clays on it to throw the clays further in the air to give more time on them.....but that's not happening Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 Also cave in to box-fed guys. Flame suit on.
  8. Ok, guess y'all give. The guy BE is talking to is Paul Liebenberg. He was a renowned pistolsmith in the day and built stunning stuff-still does I think.
  9. We had some idiot shoot one of those little r&r 5" plates with a slug. Other than having to look 100 feet away to find the damn thing, no real affects to the steel or anyone else. But it was really obvious.
  10. buy delrin rods from kite shops, buy a few ed brown guide rod heads, the correct die and have at it. have them in all my guns.

    12 days and a wake up...yer there!!!
  12. jp installed never happens...in fact, had a mccormick drop in for 4 years that never doubled either. just saying
  13. I would agree only if I had a box of hi-base 6's stashed in my bag as well.
  14. Nick is spot on. Seems we shoot a lot of targets " during movement" as defined. Wasn't there, so can't be sure. IAC, having sat on an arb for a similar event, we all agreed that the RO could not be sure the shooter was not engaging a target, in this case while leaving a port.
