  1. congrats-it's always a great feeling...and it usually comes as a surprise. from here, you build confidence.
  2. thread drift, but try lewis black and john caparulo...
  3. wow! u just move in? that is was to antiseptic.
  4. kyle-this has been beat up over the years. i understand the rule, but i do not see the advantage-in fact, there would be very, very few cases where it would be an advantage. doesn't bother me a bit. i'd be worried about my own junk.
  5. who gives a s%#t...just shoot.
  6. several times-once due to a cheap scope (good old simmons pro diamond-even with a larue mount), and once with an accupoint and a POS mount. but i feel better knowing it's still going where it was when i get to the match.
  7. am i the only guy that always worries about checking my zero? even with a larue mount, i always verify my zero before any match i have long range plates in-even if i don't change my loads. am i being anal?
  8. there were a couple for sale a few months ago on the AR15.com forums. saw the pics. the reticle was a circle dot, and the BDC was built into the knobs. high bucks though. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&...23&t=501567
  9. agree 1000%-he's gotta go. and he's one sick bas%$rd.
  10. here's to you, brian! and thank you for all you've done over the many years...this forum is by far the most comprehensive source of information about our shared passions. happy 52nd!!
  11. Step 5; Make fun of other shooters who's guns are not as reliable as the one you chose ! N step 6: pay off home equity loan used to fund benelli step 7: post to brian's forums about all the 1100's that you witness puking. step 8: read more posts from 1100 owners drinking kool-aid
  12. absolutely wonderful story! a huge thank you to all involved in getting this young man all the goodies-you guys are the best. as a fellow marine, i'm hoping i meet james next month when i'm shooting in texas.
  13. Happy B-Day, Y! keep on shootin!
  14. i'm 100% italian, but could only afford to shoot a remington.
  15. i have a great reticle in the GRSC-nothing like it, but since it's FFP, and the illumination is non-existant at 1x, that means 2 scopes. u know, the accupoint ain't bad. i may even go back to it soon. used to dred the holdover issue, but taran is right, forget doing that. use the evelation knobs. dial it in at 25, 100, 200, 300 , etc, and get your dope. then, depending upon the stage, dial it in for the longest shot. for example, at the 3gun nats 2 years ago in albany, we were shooting long range rifle out to 340+. some paper at about 50, flashers at 150 out to 340+. no problem. dial it to 350, and HOLD UNDER everything else. if you know where it hits, holding under is easy with the tr21. besides, holding over means lobbing rounds to a POA...holding under means the bullet is likely rising anyway. it all makes sense now.
  16. bassmaster series in at lake falcon in texas starting today. all records supposed to get buried. some guy's practice bag the other day was 5 fish over 52 pounds!
  17. looks like james was taking his time at the DTC...u should see him at our club matches...
  18. merlin-he's not a troll-in fact, benny built his benelli...
  19. jamie-well, i've shot 2nd chance, tons of steel, uspsa, outlaw 3 gun matches, airsoft, lawnmowers, old computers, and lots of living things over the years. besides, i'm flying in from kalifornia next month just to shoot with you guys at a club match...so i'm in!
  20. a bit slow on the draw, i expect...
  21. steve's list has them all...i especially like the obligatory answer when asked if they understand the course of fire (i know, it's not a range command).
  22. i haven't flipped through a playboy in about 30 years, but i expect there are a few things in those pics as well...a matter of seeing if anyone notices other than the obvious shots.
