  1. Ditto! I work for one of the largest... they jerk employees around on this stuff too
  2. But it's a dry heat! It's been 90/90 here for a week or more. that's the worst! i hate humidity! eta - We were in DC once it was 95/95 (I think) - worst weather of my life
  3. I did a lot of testing on this.. I found in the Dillon measure, that even if the charge got below the baffles, the actual charge never changed eta - actually - i didn't get changes until there wan't enough powder left to throw a full charge. and this is on an unaltered dillon measure. this may vary from power to power, but titegroup, never a variation. so i usually let th power get close to the baffles before i fill it back up. you probably want to do your own testing.. before doing this
  4. That's very impressive shooting Patrick!
  5. Kurt... send some of that north please!
  6. Like Chuck said above.. right now (before the move) an excellent time to get any frames or guns you want. You can bring in STI frames for personal use (my words - not sure what the law says exactly - you might look into it).. but you won't be able to buy them easily once you're there Get 2 or 4.. if after a while you decide you don't need them.. easy to sell Or if there's any other guns you might want in the foreseeable future that aren't on the approved list.. buy them now..between the classes you have to take and certificates, ffl fees, sales tax and wait times.. you'll be glad you did
  7. Yes.. those are the choke tubes that fit In those tubes I have Skeet, LM and IM (every other size) I use LM the most Skeet I'll only use if there's lot of close clays 155-000-073 67095 12 GA. IMP MOD CRIO PLUS TUBE 155-000-069 67091 12 GA. SKT CRIO PLUS CHOKE TUBE
  8. Like some others.. I have a savage bolt action I had threaded, it seems with subsonic ammo, you can just about hear the firing pin click and a 10/22 (threaded the stock barrel) My wife likes shooting the 10/22 more, with magazines that work well to 25 rounds.. very reliable rifles
  9. I had one of Skip's fixes.. forgot to move it to this toolhead Cleaned up a bit, tightened the shellplate overall, not ,much different I'll have to strip it down and give it a good cleaning, then try it again During the last batch of 250 i was doing, I ran out of the dillon spray, and tried some cabelas spray... what a difference.. I'll order some more dillon spray
  10. I'm prepping a few thousand .223 cases (maybe 5K).. I'm having a lot of cases that don't feed correctly Sometimes, I can see the casefeed plunger sort of 'catch' and hesitate while feeding the case into the shellplate.. sometimes it looks fine It happens randomly.. can be once every 20-25 cases, then 3 in a row What's the most likely culprit? Case Plunge mechanism dirty? Plunger Spring weak? Shell plate issue (too tight, too loose, maybe a bad spot on the plate) Just crappy brass? (it's pretty much all mil/crimped brass) Thanks in advance.. Dave
  11. Sprinkles are for winners

  12. Jim... it's usually around September (my last confirmation email from them was 9/14).. I think it's a $2 rebate per box
  13. That's crazy.. I didn't have any risk factors either.. waiting 2 years... not sure if i would still be here or not.
  14. Funny.. spring can get your hopes up.. Tuesday it was 66 at about 16:00.. 2 hours later it was low 30s and snowing.. we got about 6 inches by yesterday afternoon... 16 this morning
  15. I have all TekLoks... and it's easy to loan them out to anyone that needs more storage I'll change them if it makes sense.. it might take me an extra minute.. very easy.. but it's not often I need to change for the rifle mags.. I do have a spare pouch with a 30 rounder JIC mag, I keep in the small of my back in a Safariland tek-loked pouch.. I can not remember using it in the last 5+ years.. but I do run cinched 30 mags almost always
  16. What JJ is saying.. after you've prepped your brass.. (all sized then trimmed) - no need for a sizing die again (I do have a universal decapper on, just to make sure no tumbling media is in the primer hole), so no lube is needed After I size/trim.. I throw the cases into corncob to polish and remove the lube, and it breaks off any burrs from trimming...
  17. Any updates on 170mm extensions or tubes?
  18. isnt that why he posted it in humor?
  19. another option.. if you go with an SVI.. with the interchangeable breach face you can swap out the breachface, magazines, extractor, barrel and spring - and go 9 or 40 easy enough if i was on a budget.. I'd just shoot 40 minor/major
