  1. Any new light-only lights on the market to consider? Streamlight TLR-1 HL looks hard to beat, but just checking
  2. Thanks Jesse.. of course I have their other ones
  3. +1 I've always left my 550s pretty much alone, except for the oil on the ram.. makes me wonder how much I don't know about the 1050
  4. What type of saw and rpm are you running? The Dewalt disks say max rpm 13,300..
  5. You can go cheaper.. and just move the trimmer and dies around on the same tool head If you do them in large batches, it might make sense
  6. That's not a bad idea.. thanks i'll look into that Think the little 7" saws would work for this too? Grumpy.. last question.. any particular wheel you used?
  7. For me.. changing calibers is about 15 minutes. I never change primer size though. And this includes cleaning the press, at least some. it does really make me feel like an idiot, when I realize I put the new head on, and forgot to change the shell plates
  8. Thanks.. funny.. I was reading that thread a few weeks back.. eta - I was thinking the Brownells couplers and the Springers were the same. I had tried a Brownells.. Need to get a couple of Scotts
  9. Thanks for those other links.. nice to see some options The Lancers do look good, this would be a new build to replace the aging JP. If you have one.. which model did you go with? I want the 16.5" long if I go with the 18", or the 14.6 if I go with a 16" - still leaning toward the 18
  10. we used to get a catalog that we could pick from, depending on years of service. Some if it was pretty nice, particularly at 20+ years Then they cut it out completely although they did send you a Lucite cube with the anniversary years on it. Which works fine as a door stop They just started again.. you can get some junk, but nothing you'd want
  11. I was looking at the Seekins.. but I want to check out carbon ones too. Any other Carbon fiber guards that have flat bottoms? Looking for the long ones (15" - 16" or so) Someone just pointed the Lancer handguards out to me.
  12. Thanks.. I didn't want to use my miter saw, read nothing but bad things with that, and I didn't want to have to clean it off going back and forth from steel to wood on it. I'll look at the Makita 32 grit blades. it's funny, we don't have any rental places here anymore. A small one at the True Value, but nothing like a real rental shop
  13. Is there a coupler that will work with 20 round Pmags? PMags MagLink says it doesn't work, and they seem to have a different basepad than the 30s so the aluminum 'foot' doesn't work on the one piece Aluminum ones
  14. Is there any way to get my recent matches to appear.. if I haven't used a phone to look them up?
  15. I'm primarily a wood worker, but I need to build 4 3/4" x 3/4" 1/8" angle iron frames.. 32 45 degree cuts (hopefully) total I have access to a 14" Chop saw.. but know nothing about the type of wheel to use Any difference between the cheap ones or good ones? 24 Grit? 32 Grit? something different? tia - Dave
  16. Thanks all.. I'll keep an eye out for X-Terminator too.
  17. thanks.. have you noticed any difference in how dirty either makes the rifle? I could do that group at maybe 20 yards... lol - nice shooting
  18. I know I've seen a thread here about the relative weights of different BCGs, but my search foo is weak. Anyone know where that is/was.. or a summary? tia.. Dave
  19. Any benefits to one or the other? I used H335 a number of years ago, switched to AA2230. Now I can't get AA2230 easily, so wondering which one to track down to start loading with tia.. Dave
  20. That's the way I take it too, this is just 2 at the same time.. the RO figured you couldn't even see the scoring target so it didn't count.
  21. I can't stand watching 'live' TV. I DVR everything (except football) and when I watch it skip through all the commercials.. saves 15+ minutes an hour
  22. If 2 targets (no-shoots but that shouldn't be relevant) are placed edge to edge over another target, a bullet hits the non scoring area of these front targets and hits the target underneath in a scoring area... does the shooter get that score? I'd just never seen this before. I'm thinking yes, but it's unique enough I wanted to make sure. The RO on the stage said no 9.1.5.1.1 is the closet thing I can find thanks in advance.. Dave
  23. i had the same restrictions a couple of years back after surgery i have this cart: http://www.samsclub.com/sams/folding-wagon/prod3080161.ip?navAction=&pid=_Aff_LS&siteID=je6NUbpObpQ-xtRQw6hs8kysDbzHp8lK8A it's lite, so easy to get in out of the car. worst thing is the tires are a little small, but it will got through gravel ok, not great http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=116302&page=6#entry2121147 good luck.. the time passes faster than you'd think
