  1. If someone wants to lie about their classification that is something they will have to live with and is hard to control. Some issue with not enough GM in their class and receiving more guns then they should came up. That's the Pro Am rules not ours. The placement of shooters in the final results ,wherever they are regardless of classification , seems not to be accurate. This has no bearing on telling the truth about how you registered . Just to be clear I have heard no real issues with the RO's and thought you guys did a great job. It is not your responsibility to inform the shooters what the bleep is taking so long. Someone should have came to the mic and informed us in the 4 hours we sat there. I know Shannon did once which was appreciated but that was it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Not sure I agree a couple of beers and pizza would have negated this thread. There is still an issue of how the prize table was distributed and scoring concerns. Being hungry I will admit added to the frustration but it doesn't seem that the correct shooters got the correct prizes/ guns/ plaques etc. If I'm completely off on this please correct meSent from my iPad using Tapatalk No, I'm sure there were some issues with the prizes. I'm just saying when you know there are going to be delays pacifying the crowd ahead of time can alleviate a lot of the issues. I honestly don't know how classes and divisions got mixed up but I did hear them verifying everyone when they checked in the little bit of time I was in there. I think the issue to that lies in no one sanctioning body. The did classification by what you said your USPSA, IPSC or IDPA class was and it seemed to be basically an honor system registration so without a uniformed sanctioning body or a way to really accurately confirm how shooters registered it's hard to say where the blame lies if someone got a D class prize but should've been C class etc. I will say it would've been much smoother to have all the winners listed in the correct order on one sheet of paper so you could work right down one list rather than flipping through multiple pages. I guess they didn't want to take any more time to get out and start the prizes than they already had but that's just speculation. The RO's that I know we're just as in the dark as the shooters as far as the cause and duration of the delay. 5. 9x23guy and Doug are right on This was my first Pro-Am match and what I was told and what I saw were two different things from veteran shooter of this match . The ROs were fine and no issues with the actually shooting of the match. Info on where to start and shooters meetings were almost non existent. In fact an email went out stating the shooters meeting was incorrect and then produced another email with more incorrect info. So the revised email they sent should have been revised with proper info . At some level it was actually comical. I too got a plaque in AO but as I sit here writing this I still do not understand the final results. In fact out of all the matches I have attended this scoring method/results seems to be messed up. I could be way off or out of line but it seems that parts were almost made up. If in fact GM's went up to get guns and there weren't enough in that class to warrant that it was the Pro- Am's own rule they were not following . After waiting 4/5 hours for results and the prize table to start the attendance dwindled down. Possibly from boredom or overheating but in my opinion the lack of communication was inexcusable. Nobody had any idea what was happening and the un interest in telling us was disappointing to say the least. I just wish saving up enough money and talking vacation to fly down there from Boston , the last thing I remembers about the Pro Am was the prize table and how confusing the results seem to be. I am sorry if I made or make someone upset in my rant but I believe I have the right to describe what many other shooters were thinking and saying. I wouldn't pat myself on the back thinking it went ALL smooth because there is plenty of room for improvement , starting with communication, it goes a long way Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. I have the same issue on high or low speed and it's the new version. Bench is mounted to the wall so it's sturdy as hell. I actually have two 650's with 2 case feeders and both do it. It can de nine or 38 still happens
  7. Sounds like a new reason to get a 1911 in 9[emoji1]
  8. I've heard of folks shooting 255G from their 1911 without issue. I'm not looking for a 250pF . Is there anyone out there shooting a 255g from their 1911?
  9. I read the other threads but didn't see any load data for 255G 45acp. I picked up some bayou 255 for the 1911 but load data seems limited. I have HP-38 and HS-6 some solo 1K . Some thoughts out there?
  10. Mine ran fine right out of the box. The trigger was heavy as hell but I shot many rounds through it all different brands. I also shot different reloads of mine through it as well without issue. Accuracy was never a problem I found that it velocities were slower than I would have thought. I did send it to Mark at Pinnicale for a trigger job and that solved that issue with a 5.5 lb trigger. I have worked a load for Steel and falling steel that's works great. I did change the grip to a big butt just because this is my preference. Started with Ended with
  11. Foxbat is right on. Had this happen to me and took a bit to figure out. Thank god for the ultrasonic cleaner, worked great for this
  12. Just don't put your light directly over the primer tube because if it shoots up it will break your fluorescent bulb. Don't ask me how I know this but there will be a lot of little pieces of glass to pick up. I would imagine[emoji57]
  13. I have ad the same issue. All mags worked in my Edge but a few would t in the steelmaster . Trigger bow was at min tolerance and mags were at max causing the bow to hit the front of the mag not letting the trigger release. I replaced the trigger and problem solved. The fine folks at STI knew what was wrong before I could finish explaining my dilemma .
  14. Doug, Is shooting a .358 out of the 929 a lead or jacketed bullet or does it matter?
  15. The good thing about collecting / shooting competition revolvers is that the wife really never knows when you buy a new one - " they all look the same to me " But when there is a depletion in the bank account you have to come up with something
  16. Scooter came from riding bikes for years and was my nickname for a long time it was just natural to pick up the shooter after I started shooting
  17. If I had to make a guess the ejector need to be tuned
