  1. I have no problems and have a setback mount on my shorty
  2. The other two are to keep the back plate from moving at all. Plus 1 on that reply.
  3. I just installed a Phoenix trinity this weekend, really like it
  4. 14 or 15 yards seems to work out best for me.
  5. I have bone stock mags and they worked just fine. I did upgrade for own desires.
  6. I'm using all TTi guts and base pads for my STI tubes, they are a little difficult at first but you learn how to get them off soon enough without huge trouble. At first I was slipping a feeler guage in the front side of the base pad to push the spring up to slide off the pad. After a while I figured a way to slowly wiggle off the pad with patience. It's all good now.
  7. I too run the white plunger along with non LCI extractor. I believe the rest of the parts are stock G 17 What barrel are you using ? Mine is a KKM
  8. Have you looked into your brass as a possible culprit ( slight bulging maybe ?) Does the problem occur on factory new boolits ?
  9. I've seen open glocks with more tension put on extractor with set screw drilled into back plate My open glock runs great with stock extractor
  10. So I have a custom 2011 now, new to this platform. It's a Sti built by Everglades Custom. I've always shot glocks. My question is, what spare parts should I get for the range bag ?
  11. Interesting I'm using a 124 bullet with 7.1 grains of autocomp at 1.14 OAL and make a 171 No signs of pressure, same load for open Glock and STI Are you sure of your charge weight ?
  12. I have a similar gun with same bullets but using 7.1 grains of Autocomp. 173 PF Have you tried upping your charge weight ? My gun is pretty flat shooting, people say it moves about a 1/2 inch or less. I agree that technique would help with 2nd shot. You got to shoot often and figure out what works and what doesn't. I practice on partials as it forces me to really see that 2nd shot
  13. I got one yesterday at $58 Don't need it but couldn't resist the price.
  14. For me Grip angle and thumb safety on 2011 gun plus the trigger. The grip angle feels weird to me because of so many years with glocks. on my open glock the thumb rest is closer to the grip whereas on the 2011 thumb rest is further away even though I got adjusted as close as I can possibly get it I still feel like my support hand is pointing too far forward. Something to get used too. Safety is really challenging because I've never had to do that. Plus new holster and mag pouches. Trigger is so much better that I don't want to shoot the glocks now. I still have open glock, limited and production gun and may end up selling them too.
  15. I agree, my open glock shoots really well at 173 PF. I was running a 124 over 7.1 grains of AC
  16. I did pick one up from a local guy. Shoots like a dream.
  17. I ordered the DAA version. Another question - thumb safety is a fitted item or an easy swap out? I only have a single and want an Ambi version.
  18. Could you share a photo ?
  19. Looking for opinions on thumb rest, I feel that ones mounted on scope mount are too far away for my liking. I saw one that was attached to the slide stop - any issue with this ? I'm brand new to a 2011 gun.
