Sadly, that is not my experience. I've filed numerous reports with many different state AGs on behalf of clients and nothing has happened. Only if an AG gets thousands of similar complaints will they do anything, in my experience.

'04 E46 that gets about 27mpg highway. If I had to replace it, I would probably get the current E90 diesel and run bio-fuel. -
Exterior Luggage locks for flying?

Not being a Mass resident, but the NRA-ILA's page for Mass' gun laws just says that the firearm owner has to notify the executive director of the Criminal History Systems Board, and the licensing authority in the city or town where the owner resides is a firearm is lost, stolen, or recovered. Doesn't say anything about it being a felony to have your firearm stolen. -

Make sure that the TSA drone re-locks the case before it gets placed on the conveyor belt!!!! One rocket scientist almost did just that with a case containing my AR, M1S90 and 1911. -

I've been using Ultramax remanufactured 55gr .223. A lot of sporting goods stores carry it, such as Dick's. -

NRA wants to Sanction Multi-gun
davidwiz replied to BillL223's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
I don't know if anyone noticed, but in the current issue of the American Rifleman (the NRA member magazine), they have a article about the 2008 FHN 3-Gun match. This is the first time that I can remember that American Rifleman has covered a shooting discipline outside the auspices of the NRA. Hopefully this will bring more people to 3-Gun shooting. -
You are doing the right thing. *Everyone* who handles a firearm needs to do it safely. As others have suggested, I would write a memo to yourself (or an email) detailing what happened, print it out and keep it in a safe place. You might also want to notify the police chief and/or the city council so that they can be properly informed of what is happening.

Hah! Ever watch his Shot Show videos? He is the walking, talking definition of a Mall Ninja. Every time he interviews Kyle Lamb I cringe, because of the way MSM is holding Kyle's rifle, trying to look all tacticool and wannabe.

The magwell on a AR is different for .223 and .308 (among other things). A .223/5.56 AR lower can handle a variety of calibers, from 9x19mm (with mag adapter), .223, 6.8 SPC, Grendel, etc. while a .308 AR lower can handle almost any "short action" .308 based round, such as the 7-08, .260 Remington (aka 6.5-08), etc. - as long as the round can fit in the magazine.

The problem is that, IMHO, a lot of bad attorneys only get a slap on the wrist, it is very rare to see an attorney be disbarred. There are countless cases in NJ and PA where attorneys stole money from their clients only to be suspended for a little while and then be allowed to get their license back. I sure that the PA Disciplinary Board got tons of complaints about these two bad judges, but did nothing. In my experience, most complaints made to attorney disciplinary boards are either outright ignored or dismissed without any investigation.

It is situations like this that seriously call into question my choice of profession. Two former Luzerne County, Pennsylvania judges, Mark Ciavarella and Michael Conahan pleaded guilty to federal fraud charges yesterday. The fraud charges stem from some $2.6 million in kickbacks paid by Mid-Atlantic Youth Services Corp.'s PA Child Care, LLC and Western PA Child Care, LLC youth detention centers to the judges from 2003 to 2006 in exchange for the judges sentencing youths to those specific centers. In many cases, lawyers were not provided to the defendants during court hearings, despite the United States Supreme Court's In re Gault decision, which mandated that all juvenile defendants must be afforded the same rights as an adult in a criminal proceeding, including the right to have an attorney present. Not surprising, PA Child Care and Western PA Child Care are claiming to be the "victim" and claim that the judges forced them to pay the money. However, in 2002, Conahan shut down the Luzerne County-run youth detention center and helped PA Child Care and Western PA Child Care secure multi-million dollar contracts with the County. Some of these contracts paid based on the number of youths locked up. One 20-year contract worth approximately $58 million with PA Child Care was later canceled by the County. According to this AP article, various youth-advocacy groups consistently complained about Ciavarella's and Conahan's harsh sentences (such as sentencing a kid to 3 months for creating a Myspace page making fun of an assistant principal). Apparently, during the 2002 - 2006 time period, the PA statewide rate of juvenile defendants sentenced to detention was 1:10, with Ciavarella, it was 1:4. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court finally got a clue and removed Ciavarella and Conahan from the bench on January 26, 2008, shortly after they were charged. Now, all of the cases adjudicated by Ciavarella and Conahan are being reviewed to see if the sentences should be overturned and the record expunged. Until June 2008, Robert J. Powell, a Pennsylvania attorney, was a co-owner of PA Child Care and Western PA Child Care. No word yet on whether federal criminal charges will be brought against PA Child Care, Western PA Child Care, Mid-Atlantic Youth Services Corp., or Powell (or if he will be subject to attorney disciplinary proceedings).
