  1. ah yes. In the USA we have a bit of a problem obtaining Vectran. Thank you for the reply.
  2. I had to change the battery in my TENS unit. Killed the first battery in 6 days. My unit is a Prostim 2000. I now have it set at 4 bars out of 8 (i think). I can't stand it long enough to count the bars when it is at maximum. Also I am now running it on Continuous.
  3. I have about 75k rd on my Aftec in my Para 9x23 major power Open IPSC pistol. I have had no problems whatever with the Aftec. I am sorry about your problems.
  4. Sorry, I have no data. An aside; where do you get Vectran powder? I used SP2 in my 9x23 but can no longer find Vectran powders.
  5. I just got my TENS unit last week. It has helped tremendously. I have been on methadone for chronic pain for 7 years. I also take Norco for breakthrough pain. I went to a new pain management clinic last week and they started me with a different pain regimen and added the TENS unit. I am allowed to use it at will and adjust the settings as well. I use it almost constantly. We will soon add Accupuncture and guided imagery. I am on total disability related to my chronic pain from abdominal adhesions and spinal infection. I now have 6 vertebrae fused/fixed in my lower back. Only those of us suffering from chronic pain know what it is like. Fortunately I have found a pain clinic that looks at my comfort and activities of daily living ability as goals of treatment, rather than my last dr who just wanted me off meds regardless of my pain and disability level. Good luck Boba and all of us in chronic pain.

  7. I went to PT within an hour of waking from the procedure. My PT facility had no 'chair'. It varies by what is available. I am totally happy with my recovery. If it is not 100% it is so close I cannot tell. I have no pain.
  8. i think you still have to get north of the hill top house to hear that.
  9. Rio Salado range is north of Mesa. Take N. Ellesworth Rd north. It transitions into Usery Pass Rd. Keep going, you will find Rio Salado Range on the west side of the road just after the campground on the east side. Take the blacktop all the way to the end. Turn right onto the dirt. Take the road down to the pistol bays. Someone will direct you to the sign up shack.
  10. I exchange emails with Springfield a while ago, less than a year. The Hi cap is available in almost any 45 model. You do have to ask/order it but they ARE available.
  11. I had exactly that same condition and treatment. I was sent right to physical therapy after coming out of anesthesia. Recovery was rapid and I have full mobility now. She will do well. Keeping her in my prayers anyway.
  12. "It's not that bro." umm, uhhh, not your or anyones 'bro'. LOL.
  13. why deal with someone who gives you strange vibes. there are plenty of good smiths to deal with. First impressions are usually right impressions.
  14. great buy! Deer hunting, sure, make me jealous. Good luck.
  15. I have a 6" 686+ and I am always amazed at how long the 8 3/8" barrel looks. What did you pay for the 'rust bucket'? Is the action smooth?
  16. I was looking a sweater and down comforter this morning. The house got down to 69F! Where did I put that down parka?
  17. perhaps use the forward assist to push the bolt closed so you can remove the upper from the lower?
  18. I know the feeling but for a different reason. I am/was an RN. 56y.o. broken back/disabled. I went from a care giver to a care needer (if that is a word). you know what I mean. No matter what the economy I will never work again. Now B.Hussein O. is pres elect. man life sucks
  19. SASS is a social group for playing cowboy. The shooting is only part of it.
  20. I think you will reliably get 17 rounds in for a reload. Still, 9 targets worth before the next reload is not shabby for a LTD 45.
  21. I remember Jerry Barnhart at the Dallas nationals in 86 I think. He made up misses faster than most anyone could shoot. Saw John Shaw shoot at the Canadian IPSC nationals north of Toronto. He was good. Had a lesson with Leatham, saw him hit a 0.4something draw. He did 6 sub 2 second Bill Drills in a row. He said 7 was the world record then. It was just before he got his new Wilson L/E dual chamber comp 38 super. My triple chambered Kempton 45 freaked him out. Leatham is always a treat to watch at Rio Salado. Matt Burkett is no slouch either.
  22. gohard, do not worry about being a 'noob'. We were all 'noobs' at some time. USPSA is a very friendly organization. You will find practical shooters very friendly and eager to help. We all love to show off our guns and gear. Most of us will let you try out our guns. We are SO proud of them! Ask for advice, then sort the wheat from the chaff. Welcome to the forum and the sport. You will love both!
