  1. I use nothing but small rifle primers in my 9x23. In my case Winchester Small Rifle Primers; SRP. I have never had any problems.
  2. the "damn, this is going to hurt" is a horrible feeling
  3. sight black on fiber optic sights WOULD be counterproductive. For straight iron sights with no FO sight black makes for the blackest black of iron sights you can get. If you run plain iron sights try it, you'll like it!
  4. Ross Seyfried because he was the last to win the Open World Shoot with what is now a limited single stack 45. Debbie James. The only woman to win 4 US Nationals titles in a row. Debbie James. The only woman to win 2 IPSC World Shoot titles in a row. She retired undefeated to start a family. Julie Goloski the first to win National titles in 4 categories. Jerry Barnhart, the first to win Open and Limited National titles in the same year. Why Bill Wilson? He sponsored some shooters and put up prizes but many others have done that. He was not an innovator. Heck, Jake Kempton was making triple chamber compensators before Wilson made his first double chamber. Definitely NOT the Second Chance pin shoot guy. He had NOTHING to do with IPSC. He made body armor and had a once a year bowling pin shoot. I think we need to separate this into IPSC and USPSA each having their own HOF. Jimmy VonSorgenfrei was a World Shoot Champion but does that qualify him for the USPSA HOF? I say no. IPSC should of course include each World Shoot winner. USPSA should include each National Champion. Please, let us consider accomplishments and contributions;not just good folks that were around way back when.
  5. with the jerk RO I would have asked if he figured that out all by himself
  6. The Accuracy Speaks trigger group is awesome! I had one installed about 10 yrs ago. The Jakenator is excellent. Jake made an excellent 45 comp and a 9x23 comp for me. Though Jake is no longer with Accuracy I think it is classy that they still use his name on it.
  7. I first saw 38sp out at about 75 yd. The more I practiced and watched the more I saw. For a while I could occasionally see 38supers when we were shooting from 10 yd on an indoor range. Many doubted me but I was calling other shooters shots. Back in the mists of time, the late 80s.
  8. remember, you reserve one large pouch for the Twinkies!
  9. that shotgun speed loader shot-reload-shot of 1.56 seconds was astounding. with my single shot pistol my average shot-reload-shot time was 1.35 seconds!!!
  10. has to be for packing and shipping. I always delivered mine in person and picked them up since I live close.

    Polls

I need polls to hold up my tent!
  12. check the optic zone. they list Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4x32 for $499.00
  13. i would pick bead blasting over sand blasting
  14. none made B&C. That area of Michigan does not produce big antlers. The largest deer taken was by me, a 9pt that scored 127. It would have scored higher as an 8pt.
  15. My Father-In-Law sat in the same stand for 45 years. He always urinated into the brush piled around his seat. That stand produced an average of 2.5 bucks per year for that 45 years. For what it is worth.
  16. I have a Dillon RL1050. The original style. I bought a totally worn out RL1050 in 38 special. The 1050 is considered a commercial press and does NOT have the lifetime NO B.S. policy. They took my 38sp 1050 that was totally worn out. In about 2 weeks I picked up a completely new RL1050. My cost? $0.00 I then had my original 1050 rebuilt. Again a completely new RL1050. Again my cost, $0.00. No guarantee, no charge, NO B.S. Just how Dillon does business. I will always buy Dillon Blue!!
  17. I left Michigan in 1999 for Arizona. Now Matt tells me one more reason that it was a good idea. I miss the water and trees, spring and fall but not Michigans draconian gun laws. Matt, do you still need a 'permit to purchase' a pistol?
  18. In AZ it is illegal to carry a firearm into any financial institution or one that serves alcohol. State law. No discretion by the business.
  19. my prayers go with you and your family
  20. Steve. Manipulating the shoulder to tear the adhesions apart is not invasive. Any time you open the skin there is a risk of infection. Plus there is the additional healing time from the incision and sutures. Any time you can avoid opening the skin it is a good idea. I had a spinal procedure that was closed with 2 sutures. I got an infection. The rest is a loooong story. Keeping the skin closed is preferred. Teresa, I wish you the best with your recuperation. Keep up the good work. You are in my prayers.
