  1. I need to watch out for any open slot. Work schedule of wife changed and it gives me an opportunity to get out of nanny job
  2. Yesterday i used the CGW 11.5 lbs hammer spring with CZ custom ext firing pin at 2.496 with recommended spring. 1st stage light strike right away. With federal primers.. Returned my 13 lbs hammer spring and it fired the rest of the 5 stages. BTW i remember that i have some light strikes before when i have the 13 lbs hammer spring and using standard firing pin and standard firing pin spring, that's the reason i got a CZ custon ext firing pin. I asked burning squirrels again what he is using and he says standard firing pin with 15 lbs hammer spring not 13 lbs. I 'll set-up next a 2.490 cgw ext firing pin with lightened spring. I'll set this up in my next local match and see if it will survive the match. Will also check for slam fire.
  3. The MecGar 16 rounders with CZ rubber plates is popular with production in my neck of woods and I haven't seen problems with it yet except those really old ones that the lip is already out of dimension because of hundreds of drops from competition and also those mags where spring are not maintained/replaced.
  4. Thanks Schmeky that explains it :-)
  5. What is the rationale for having a longer FP for shadows (2.500") that do not have firing pin block while mentioning that 2.490" is "optimum" for SP-01's that has firing pin block. Shouldn't it be the other way around???

    HK P30L

Is LEM necessary to have the lighter DA and shorter SA reset?
  7. Thanks Stuart, Are all using standard firing pin spring or have to use lightened firing spring as well in combination?
  8. Do you guys use the CZ custom extended Firing Pin in your guns and projects or prefer the Cajun Gun Works extended firing pin solution? Why? I'm getting a little bit scared with the Cajun gun works with lightened spring because it is so long, it is actually 2.50" . Just to put the hammer behind the pin, the tip of the pin is already protruding out in my 75 shadow. I'm using a federal pistol primer and if i slide lock then release the slide, it may go bang! I haven't tried it yet but am i just being a pussy here? The CZ Extended firing pin on the other hand if i could remember is just a tad longer than the standard firing pin around 2.475 (i'll measure it again tonight). This is what i have on my SP-01 shadow that has 13lbs hammer spring. And have been really reliable. Actually my friend Burning Squirrels just use standard firing pin in all of his guns and all are reliable with 13lbs hammer spring and federal pistol primers. The thing is i'm playing with CGW's 11.5lbs hammer spring to lighten up my Double action a bit. Anybody have tried the 11.5lbs hammer spring with CZ-Custom extended firing pin???
  9. I checked the CZ USA and custom website. It is available for those CZ 75 that has round mag release button not yet for SP-01 variant. We'll at least my TS problem is now solved. Not yet for my CZ shadow's extended mag release.
  10. Just to inform everyone. I ordered a new mag release for TS. The new mag release will prevent you for over pressing the mag release. There's now a metal in between the slots where you put the spring legs. It's a freakin' good engineering that it's hard to do in 1911. I now like the CZ design better, i'll just loctite that spring screw. I hope CZ start doing this for extended mag release for CZ 75 as well. Should be a no brainer. Raymond
  11. where is the link to the gigantic post?
  12. The rounds count is only for ammunition planning. Actually you have to bring twice of it for potential re-shoots. The new USPSA MG rule is like what we are doing in 3gun Nation. So yeah paper targets needs 1A or 2 anywhere to avoid penalty time scores. And the points is the total time plus all penalties. That simple. Hope that helps. Cheers,
  13. A lot of us from Philippines here buddy. Welcome to the forum Raymond
  14. Maybe shoot a match or have a vacation in europe then buy those grips Congrats on the Alabama win Corey. Raymond
  15. Ok when new mag release for my TS arrives then i'll loctite the mag release spring screw. I hate extended mag release.
  16. Does it really need to have loctite? Anyway i had the same problem with my newly acquired IPSC standard. I over dremeled the mag safety. Its releasing mags better now but i left open gap. I charged it to experience and ordered one at CZ-USA. Hopefully i can control the meat that has to be removed from that extended mag release. I don't have this issue in my SP-01 that has factory mag release. This is usual issue mostly with extended mag release.
  17. stuart. Is the dawson plain front sight you are selling is the serrated .170 x.90 for shadow? If it is can i have it for #20 shipped i can pay you paypal as gift.

  18. DA/SA because you could always cocked and lock it and still be competitive in limited. Specially if you have a tuned DA/SA shadow.

  20. reloading will be much more frequent and more fun
  21. Just a question of checkmate. Does it holds major 9? Can it hold long ammo?
  22. I'll be receiving a standard IPSC next week and my friend lend me a TS. When i get it next week i'll give them to burning squirrels for detailed analysis if he is not busy with school.
  23. Do we have specific lip dimention or just measure what is working right now?
  24. draw fast, high ready position, punch out.. fire!!! Then grin with a smile on your face
