  1. For production now using safariland 5197-490 on a 567BL-2-150. It could be used for IDPA or USPSA.
  2. I expect the slings, i expect the 4 inch plates at 20-30 yards pistol shots, i expect rifle shots from unusual way, i expect long slug shots. The only thing i don't expect from an Andy Horner match is that..... It will be easy :-)
  3. I initially plan to drop this if held middle of summer but moved to spring. Awesome. Will be there.
  4. About the same as blue ridge but in the middle of ga summer last year so perceived harder. This time it is spring so it should be better.
  5. You have to decide 1st if you like single stage or 2 stage. Also there's a JP like single stage and there's hipper fire single stage. You'll not beat an AR gold or tuned Geisselle national match trigger in 2 stage category. If you like the feel of 1911/2011 open gun like trigger then AR GOLD. If you shoot glock, you'll appreciate hipperfire or some 3G triggers of Geisselle.
  6. My buddy and I uses same barrel only his is 16" and I'm using 18". We are using same hold data. Last week at FN, I shoot the 400yd flasher at 3 mils. My friend uses the data and hit at 3 mils for 1 shot hit. I have someone in the squad with 7.5" SBR and he's hitting targets. I'm moving to 16" light barrel from 18" medium contour. I remembered I choose 18" because 1 pro from ITI showed up in area6 3 gun with 16" and PRVi ammo. He didn't make PF. His buddy using same rifle (JP as I remember) 18" made power factor with the same ammo. So people shoot 18" to have only 1 rifle for USPSA and outlaw matches. A lot of pro's who shoots long rifle before are moving to short barrels now also for 3 gun nation series.
  7. THanks to all the RO's, staff, sponsors for a good FN match this year. Good management for beating the saturday rain. AWESOME! Now my favorite 3 gun match.
  8. Hi Tyler, I load using 75gr hornady BTJHP. Chronoed with magneto speed. The G7 and G1 BC's that i use still looks pessimistic in my Swaro Ballistic and in my KAC bullet Flight SW. Maybe i'm not setting all parameters well. I just rely now more on my actual DOPE than software. upto around 250y software is ok. 300 up SW suggest more drop but actual has less. Plus it is tough to tell i.e 0.4mil from 05mil to 0.6mil in that 1-6x swaro BRT. my ave velocity in mt 18 noveske is 2577fps. 23.5gr of Varget with OAL 2.245. My zero is 100y and i use tall Larue mount with Height above bore of 2.9 inch. I used a BC target here in hOtlanta around 70deg. I used a vectronix rangefinder to find range and i shoot them prone with rest. I used the G7 value of hornady 75 of 0.189 Here's what i got. 75-150y i can hold zero 200y is 0.4 mil 260-270y is my 1mil 300y is about 1.3 mil 350y around 1.6 mil 400y 2.0 mil In my KAC and Swaro ballistic, It tells me that i have to hold 1.8mil for 350y and 2.4mil at 400 yards. too much.
  9. Another great match in Woody's awesome range. Good stages. Kind of match that will expose your weakness if you have some. Or a lot in my case :-)
  10. If it is 9mm sell it to me. I really need a good 9mm 2011 gun right now.
  11. Take down your slide, put your different mags while looking at the top of the frame. then mag release you different magazines. You'll see what is exactly happening and will explain to you why STI works while grams have problems. Make sure all of your mags are = or less than 1.370" front to back.
  12. You need to file your slide lock. The grams will probably not lift your slide lock to lock your slide and it just pass by the slide lock. Now when your release the mag, the grams follower hangs on above the slide lock.
  13. Offered in 1-6 and or 1-8 then it will be in the race.
  14. knock on wood i haven't broken up anything yet with my weapons on it's 2nd year. But have to start preparing for the maintenance parts. i think my buddies SP01 broke something because trigger not returning well.
  15. Registration for me and Carlo C already on the way. Yipee!!! With Andy and Mike driving this, i'm pretty sure this will be another great match!
  16. don't know buddy sorry , google it or call dillon. or send another forum message : looking for 1050 manual heheehhe good luck.
  17. because you want to case gauge each and every one of your loads when you are reloading specially if you are not using u-die. Even with U-die sometime i have a brass that do not fit to case gauge and i set it aside. If you don't mind to have a failure to feed from time to time then do the sampling case gauge test. That's what i do in the beginning and experience and coaching from more experienced shooters, i learned that case gauging each of your loads are sooooo important! It's not hard specially with those 20 hole or 50 hole case gauge. I like my 20 hole case gauge. trust me on this buddy, you'll thank me after a year :-)
  18. It happens to me when the swagging rod is so deep into the primer pocket. and yes it is more when i'm swaging military brass that has crimp. I've tuned mine a couple of times, read the manual, there's a description on how to set-up the swager properly and just follow it first.
  19. Just load with what you have. you'll be fine. Later you'll know if you need anything else. Like the post above. EGW dies are use if you are picking up brass, and some brass has been shot in open gun or glock then there will be bulge. EGW will shrink the brass so that you can reuse them. You say you are buying processed brass then you don't need this now. Competition seater is like that a seater that has micrometer adjustments. rather than adjusting the die up or down, you just rotate this micrometer and the seating goes up or down. Again if you not loading different bullets or different length say production load and 9mm major load for open gun then you don't need this. Make sure though that you seat the primer good, needs to be flat or sitting lower than base of brass. And case gauge, get a 20 round or 50 round case gauge. watch out your powder spill. There is some washer bearing combo available that allows you to tighten the plate so it don't rotate violently and spill powder a lot. At the beginning check your powder loads. the 1st 3 powder throws are usually a bit more and stabilize after 3 throws. Make your powder adjustments after 3 throws. Get a good scale that reads as low as 0.02 grains. Ive been using old vicon acculab. make a habit to check your load every 50 at the beginning until you get comfort on your powder charge. Good luck buddy! Relax, It's only reloading.
