Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I see this quite a bit actually. I've found its much easier to press the pins in rather than using a hammer. A bench vise works good in place of a press. If the pin is perfectly lined up hammering it in can be a real pain.
  2. Looks like you're in Oregon. Give Scott Springer a call; he's also in the state so maybe driving distance for you.
  3. I'm trying to decide what to do now too. I ordered mine thinking they were in stock and they emailed me saying BO until 6/2! Seems like getting a 0704 and adding DRO might be the better option.
  4. I just bought the G0759 myself. After using different machines at work I knew I'd regret it if I didn't get the DRO's.
  5. Actually it sounds about right to me. It doesn't last very long with the use we put them through.
  6. I've used them a lot actually. Many guns with a variety of their coatings over the years. Always a good experience and great service.
  7. They do.... you can see mine in use in this video here. Just call Scott at Springer Precision and tell him you're interested in doing one like I'm using.
  8. I just talked to Para a couple days ago and they said the 9mm would be out first in Sept - Oct then the .40 in Nov - Dec. That probably means 1st quarter next year on both unfortunately
  9. Holy crap...259 rounds!?!? I just checked area 8 info and its only one stage more at 294 rounds. You guys are crazy! that being said......see ya Sunday
  10. Don't know if its true but I "heard" their patents ran out and now everyone is jumping in making 2011 Frames. I'm pretty sure I just saw a post from Cheely with a picture of his "new" frame which looked just like a STI.
  11. How does someone "build you an SV"?? Its only an SV if it comes from SV right? If the gun builder is not Infinity the closest you can get is someone elses frame using some SV parts...to me that's not an SV. Not trying to jump your case here or anything...just don't want to give a guy the wrong idea.
  12. I've been using the CR pouches for almost 2 years now and nobody has ever batted an eye. I think the new rule book makes this better actually because they do show them in a picture not passing the dowel test on the persons body. For me however the dowel test passes so I'm good to go there. I also took off the knobs and just used internal shims to add tension as needed. I use these in ESP with my XDm and also in CDP with my 1911 and both pass fine. I shoot 1-2 major matches a month and as I said nobody at equipment check has ever questioned them. Indoor nationals and Carolina Cup would be a couple of the larger ones where I used them. When I was at Indoor Nationals and the PA State Match I actually pointed them out to several officials just to get their opinions and they all said good to go. Of course that being said it is IDPA and match officials are permitted to make up the rules as they see fit so YMMV.
  13. I just tried some in my new open gun and I don't mind the smoke since its no more than my Limited or Production loads but I'm getting a ton of splatter on the optic and residue on the slide and comp.
  14. As far as mounting one on an XDm I tried the speed ledge but found the actual rest part to be way too small. I ended up cutting it off and attached one of the Bobby Carver Rests to it instead. Here's a screen cap from one of my videos where you can see how it looks. Function wise I gotta admit it makes a noticeable difference.
  15. Just bought 5 of these NextBooks you linked and used them over the weekend....we are taking them back today. Battery life didn't make it through the match and they were near impossible to read in the sun. MUCH worse than the Galaxy Tab, Nook HD and iPad we also were using.
