  1. I've broken two on the right side. It's a common issue from my understanding.
  2. This fit me to a T, before I got a 650. Still have the LNL, but haven't used it since I got the 650 and I don't shoot my other calibers that I don't have 650 parts for yet, just because I don't want to reload them on the LNL. I did transfer over my LNL powder measure though. I wasn't using the powder check station and am very pleased with it.
  3. 1.08OAL for the 115 and 147s, in addition to the 124s? That's for the clarification! Precision Delta only makes JHP's in 124g. Sal Where'd you get that information? PD 124 FMJ
  4. 4.7 of N320, unless you're loading long, is over VV max by ~.4 grains.
  5. Nevermind, saw you're already loading short.
  6. 124 PD JHP seated short to around 1.08 OAL with 4.05 gr of TG is a good load from my Shadow. I use the same bullet and OAL with 4.8 grains of N340 and prefer this load for its accuracy, but it's more costly. PDs JHP in bulk are one of the cheapest jacketed bullet options, and more accurate for me than MGs.
  7. 24.0 - 25.0 grains of RE 15 with the 69 SMK at 2.250" OAL. I've never found an AR that wouldn't shoot this load well. If I do, I'll rebarrel. 24.5 - 24.8 grains is the sweet spot for me in my ARs for accuracy. .77 MOA average accuracy over 3, 10 round groups at 100 yards. They only run about 2,650 fps, so if you want a flatter trajectory, you'll need to try the upper range. If you push the speed up, the groups will open up as well to 1.2 - 1.5 MOA or so, IME.
  8. N340, FTW (or N330, but not 'bang for the buck' powder). I've tried them all except WST. N320 is softer, the softest shooting powder I've tried, but much less accurate for me in my guns, and can barely make minor PF with 124 gr pills. With 147 JHPs, my Glocks and M&Ps wouldn't shoot accurately. TG is very good, just burns very, very hot. Some don't like the recoil impulse also. I always had good accuracy with TG though, I keep it as a backup in case N340 isn't available.
  9. I was in a shop the other day and heard the salesman tell a customer that he didn't like the new Ruger LCR .38's because, "they've got a hair trigger". I guess having a long, 5 lb. DAO trigger pull is just unsafe. He seemed to be a Glock fan though.
  10. Your OAL is very short for 9mm, even with a flat point bullet, and even moreso if your bullet is the hollow base flat nose, as that bullet is much longer. Short OALs in a small case spike pressure drastically (or short-ish OALs and long bullets), particularly with faster powders like HP-38. Also, what's your crimp measure at the case mouth? For 9mm you should be at ~.377" +/- .001" or so. My guess is that you either had an overpressure load due to the short OAL, or that you had some setback during chambering that further shortened the OAL, or a combination of both.
  11. I've run ~20K through mine without issue since December. Seat easily and no light strikes in my guns.
  12. 1.12" OAL with the PD JHP is the most accurate in my G17 with the OEM barrel.
  13. I'm left handed, and the only way I can use the slide release is if it's the extended version. No worries about riding the release either.
  14. My wish list would be to ensure that the sizer could be used in conjuction with a Dillon case feeder, like the Case Pro, at a more affordable price.
  15. No "false advertising" is involved. These JHPs are not advertised by any of these companies to expand.
  16. My link http://i1080.photobucket.com/albums/j325/mizer2167/CZ75Group1.jpg Two groups from my CZ Shadow today using N330 and 115 Hornady XTP JHPs. If I could shoot, I'm positive it would be a 1.5" @ 25 yard gun. One of the groups is only 9 rounds as I didn't count the flyer at the top of the picture.
  17. I just bought 12 lbs. of N340. I haven't found other powders that are as accurate in 9mm for me, except N330. N320 is softer, but not as accurate and no different on cost than N340, just less available. TG can do well around 4.0-4.1 gr with a 124 JHP at shorter OALs, but it burns hot and some don't like the recoil impulse. Some like it with 147s as well, for our games. I keep 8-12 lbs on hand of TG also as a backup to N340, which I prefer. I've tried WSF with my preferred 124s and 147s and wasn't that pleased with the results.
  18. Could you find that load I would like to try it please. Darrel has several that are near ~1.5" for 10-rounds at 25 yards. If I could figure out how to post a PDF, you could have the PDF, he shares freely and I don't think would mind. There are probably 100 combinations or more on the spreasheet. Here are a few of the better loads for 10 rds @ 25 yds: 1.12 OAL, 121 MG IFP, 5.0 N340, Speer case, Wolf Primer 1.53" group, 126 PF 1.08 OAL, 124 PD JHP, 4.8 N340, Mixed case, Wolf Primer 1.51" group, .3785 crimp, 130 PF 1.12 OAL, 124 PD JHP, 4.0 TG, WW case, FED Primer, 1.57" group, 129 PF There are a few more in that range, but most don't make PF. I can't load to 1.12 OAL with the PD JHP in my Shadow, not much past 1.090 for me, so watch yourself. I will say that Darrel's load data has been spot on for me in my guns except when I can't shoot up to the guns potential. I don't have a RR.
  19. Search for BE forum member Darrel's posts. He shoots groups from a RR. I have a PDF file of his for his Shadow loads shot from a RR, and the best I see is about ~1.5" groups at 25 yards using PD or MG bullets for one 10 rd group. My Shadow isn't that tight. The best I've done at 25 so far is 2.4" @ 25 yards for an average of two, 10-rd groups from a rest.
  20. I can load 300+ cases without any bogging down. Is the plate down competely in its recess?
  21. My 650 has recently developed an issue where it intermittently will not index to the next primer. The lever arm will not snap down into the hole to advance the wheel. If I snap it down manually, it'll run for a little while before the problem reoccurs. Any idea of a fix, or do I need to replace the upside down washer and spring. I'm also catching the edge of a primer every 2 in 100 rounds. It's really not an issue except the powder in the case under the seating station flings out. Any advice on resolving these issues before I call Dillon is appreciated.
  22. Will take a pic, I don't have one now and am not in position to take one. However, it's not my support hand thumb that's getting whacked with brass, but rather the knuckle of my strong hand thumb. I can't curl it down any more as the top of the thumb safety is in the way.
  23. Yes, I'm left handed. Sorry. Is there any way to tune the ejector to throw the brass upwards at a higher angle on exit? I can't curl my thumb down enough to not get smacked and still ride the safety, even if I change my support hand grip.
  24. I recently picked up a Shadow after shooting Glocks. I have a fairly high grip and bigger hands. For those of you with similar anatomy, how do you position hands so your strong hand thumb is on the safety and still avoid getting your thumb smacked with brass after each round fired?
