Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I was in the first squad that ran that stage, and I was the first shooter on that stage. I was there when Roy walked through the stage with RO's and I heard everything expect that we had to go through the door. I even asked the RO before running the stage if I could go around, just in case I had missed something while I was loading my mags... I watch people run that stage the same way I did all day long, even many of the RO's. Some caution tape from the wall to the berm would have been all that was required to force everyone through the door.
  2. At a local match yesterday... Unloaded barrel start. Gun pointing down range Starting box, 25 feet, directly down range of your gun, looking down the muzzle. The RO's did not like, because every shooter was forced to sweep themselves as the headed to the free fire zone. But the MD said it was good to go?
  3. They are lying. I did a group buy of 100,000+ Federal SPP right before they stopped taking back orders. They arrived in late June.
  4. Did you get a tracking number? Does it show it delivered? You didn't get it? Call your local Post Master. Then... If the post office does not have it, and you have been billed. Call your credit card company/ bank and have them rescind the payment?
  5. I shoot about 15K a year.... It was a group buy!
  6. It took them about 6 months to fill my order of 100k ( not a typo) Fed SPP. I ordered them right before they stopped taking orders...
  7. I shoot with a Canadian and when he travels back and forth a crossed the boarder he places a screw in his mag to limit to how many rounds can be fed in, JIC he gets stopped at BP on his way back to the mother land. You could easily do this with your glock mags, limiting them to 15 for travel inside of the state, then removing the screw for the match. Rinse and repeat on the way home.
  8. Just thinking out of the box... If you really want to game the system... The ruling is no magnets on the belt? It does not, however, call out no magnets in your front pocket.
  9. The one that struck me as particularity crazy, was when I got a dinged for dropping a empty mag to the ground while not at slide lock... Mags are not empty unless the gun is empty? Hence my comment above about burning the 11th round in to the dirt...
  10. The CCI 500(OEM), if you can find them are very close to federals. I use them in my tuned revo, which will not fire the standard CCI 500. I will get 100% ignition from both Federal and CCI OEM's.
  11. I'll start off by saying I shot my 1st ever IDPA match this weekend, it was fun... But there are some crazy rules.... I'm not going to get in to that now... The one I'm looking for info is Negligent Discharge during the draw, I scanned the rule book on the ride home and did not see anything about ND's during the draw specifically called out. I witnessed a guy in the ESP class, draw, safety off and fire his pistol without ever addressing the target. The bullet impacted the ground about 10' from where he was standing, it was every bit of a 50' to the target. From what I've read as long as it is beyond 6 feet in front of you, you can keep spraying? He was stopped, but allowed to re-shoot the stage after the RM came down and talked to the RO/SO about the issue? I guess that is one way to get around the silly, your mag is not empty unless your gun is at slide lock rule I encounter on my first stage.... Seems like a loophole to me.
  12. I'm not sure what a Michael Jackson is, but if its the thing he is known for the most outside of his music..... I would not be posting about on the interwebs.
