  1. Lots of helpful info in this thread...thanks!
  2. Has anyone had their recertification results posted to their online IDPA account yet? Jim
  3. It gives me consistent accuracy with 147gr bullets.
  4. It reduces the risk of the 1st mag catching the base plate of the next mag on my belt on a reload, pulling it out of the mag carrier.
  5. I was there a few years ago...it's an impressive setup...inside and outside.
  6. +1 on the recommendation to use compact base plates.
  7. I have an older M&P9 mag with a black follower that occasionally fails to lock the slide back. I don't have that problem with my other mags that have gray followers. Could the solution be as simple as upgrading the follower...or the magazine spring?
  8. Tshirt tucked in tight with a light jacket or vest works. Just make sure the covering is semi-stiff. Hoodies does not work well. Sneakers for foot covering. Pretty good summary above...in cold weather, the same principle applies using layers. If it's wet or cold, I wear whatever works best to stay warm and dry, and take the heavy outer layer off to shoot the stage. I like merino wool as a baselayer but underarmor works well too.
  9. Another fan of Burwell's M&P trigger work here.
  10. Ruger factory mags for reliability.
  11. Similar questions here as this looks like a good option to consider.
  12. Another rockchucker fan here...my first deer season using reloads years ago turned out well and I haven't looked back since.
  13. Big horses...polka dots....hmmmmmmmm....what's not to like?
  14. That sounds like a pretty good find. Both are scarce around here. Hopefully the supply will catch up with the demand soon.

Richard, are these backordered or in stock?
  16. Good question...the ones I have from the AWB have always been a pain in the neck to load. Jim
  17. Pretty good suggestion here. I found most shooters to be very helpful to a newbie. Jim
  18. Take your time and make sure you make the head shots.
  19. Thanks for taking the time to do the videos. I am using a SDB now and considering a 550 or 650. Sarge, do you tumble your brass before loading as part of your routine? The difference in the pic where the rounds were tumbled after loading is quite noticeable. I use One Shot but usually tumble the brass before doing a closer case inspection prior to loading.
  20. I went in this direction also when I found the HF welding cart on sale. Working on a setup using wing nuts for the handle and breaking the cart down for easier transport. Jim
