  1. Dump the Amerc. I have had lots of problems with it new(loaded ammo) and reloads. S&B reloaded sucks to(My experience). If it doesn't say Rem, Win, Speer, or Starline, I don't load it. Stick with reputable names for reloading and you should be OK. My .o2 TXAG
  2. Well......, lets see. One gun for everything? What is everything? Defense, hunting...and so on? I would have to take my Remington 870. Shotguns are the most versitile firearm there is. Or did I miss the point of this topic. TXAG
  3. I hate architects and engineers who half-ass do their jobs and then throw in the all inclusive and "ass covering" 'coordinate with other' to put their resposibilities on the shoulders of others who make 1/3 what they do! TXAG
  4. I will be shooting jacketed bullets for awhile anyway. To check accuracy compared to my old Para barrel. Thanks for info guys. TXAG
  5. I just had a new Kart barrel put in my P16, is there a break in process for these or do I just blast away as usual? TXAG
  6. Winchester 231 is my favorite for 45. Cleaner than others, dirtier than some. I just like it. I thought for years that was the powder for 45. I still have 2 pounds of it. I shoot so little 45 that will last me a long time. TXAG
  7. I shoot a 40 in matches but I love my 45. I like the 40 for mag capacity. As for recoil, I can't tell the difference. But...I am just a lowly sand-bagging C shooter so I wouldn't know about that. TXAG
  8. I hate it when I take a week of vacation(deer hunting) and come back to a jobsite that has gone to hell in a hand basket...WTF? What ever happened to good reliable help that doesn't need baby sittting to get things done? TXAG
  9. College Station, TX PD, Glock 22. That is the only one I know other than the TDPS and the Sig but that was already mentioned. TXAG
  10. If AZ is first then the Houston area has to be 2nd. You can shoot a match every weekend(2 in some cases) and weeknights also. I vote TX but then I am biased to this area. We are very gun friendly here and the winters are mostly mild. TXAG
  11. Is the Para an LDA? If not, it won't work in production. Wasn't stated origanally. TXAG
  12. My P16 Limited cost me $740 a couple of years ago. It is stainless. The 40% coupons? You lost me on that one. Are you talking about the magazine coupons? If you want hi-caps, you will want the coupon for two when you buy the pistol. I love my P16L, hope you enjoy yours half as much. TXAG
  13. A stainless Ruger Blackhawk in 454 A 2011 in the 5.7x28 round. How many of those would fit in a 140mm? The double rifle would be cool too. Ruger seems to be the most likely to produce that. That is all for now, will think of more later. TXAG
  14. Fine steel wool and light oil works well. If it sits for any amount of time without being shot, give it a coat of car wax after cleaning. Will help stop the rust. TXAG
  15. Federal small rifle for .40 Have had know problems. Use federal for all my reloading. TXAG
  16. Got a better solution. Stipple the grips with a saudering iron. I did it to mine and love it. Just be easy. It doesn't take much and the grips are thin. It makes them very sharp and grippy. If you go to deep with the iron it will warp the grips and they won't lay flat on the frame. I wish I had pictures to show. I love mine. I got tired of grip tape. It ends up simular to S_I grips that have been done the same way. TXAG
  17. I loaded plenty of magazines. Way more than I shot up. Forgot about the suppressed 10/22 and AR. They were neat to. We had an explosives dealer with something called tanerite? Two powders that when mixed blow up when shot. We destroyed three cars, 4 frigs, and several TVs. I am looking forward to the next trip. I learned from this trip, I will take lots of 9 and 5.56 next time. I really wanted to shoot a supressed MP5. Maybe next time. TXAG
  18. I got to shoot SEVERAL full auto and select fire weapons this past weekend and it was GREAT. I never really thought that I would care for that type of thing but I was wrong. I shot a MG40, mini Galial(sp?) in 5.56, Colt carbine in 9mm w/ select fire including full auto, HK 33(select fire version of 93?), 1919 belt-fed 30 cal., Bushmaster 5.56 converted to select fire, and a couple more I couldn't remember(they didn't impress me much I guess). I also shot something that I thought I would only read about; the P90 made by FN. Anyone seen this thing. Talk about Star Wars. Fires the 5.7x28 round at a rate of 950 or so per minute. It was cool. Shot the FN pistol that shoots the same round(semi-auto, boring). And the best thing I shot all day to me was the fabled GLOCK 18C. IF you ever get a chance to fire this weapon, you must. It is not what you would think. Before everyone starts asking questions about legality of all these, don't worry. Everything was legal, I just got lucky to go along for a demo to a local police department. FULL AUTO IS SO COOL!!! TXAG
  19. Have you looked at the Kahr steel and polymer frame 9s. Or the same in 40. They are small and slim. I like them. The 40 I shot functioned and was accurate for that size gun. Need one for the truck. TXAG
  20. I'm not that accurate to begin with, so the FCD hasn's caused me any problems with accuracy. I love mine. Need a second for 45 ACP.
  21. YEah, that was the name, if I had remembered my high school Spanish I could have remembered that. Zentners has the best onion rings anywhere. For the biggest steaks(also very good) at the best price, try Somerville Steak House in Somerville, TX if you are ever that way. TXAG
  22. If I remember correctly Zentner's(spelling?) had an excellent chicken fry in San Angelo. Mexican food is also great there,Por Que Nada was the last place I think I ate. TXAG
  23. the 2011 frame holds up well(Edge in general) in a limited gun. I have seen several crack in open guns. With major loads you will get thousands and thousands of rounds with no problems. If it is still tight and functions, I wouldn't be worried about buying a used Edge. TXAG
  24. Liota, I would have to agree with San Angelo having the best Chicken Fry. Haven't been there recently. Will have to stop and get one during on my next deer hunt in that direction. TXAG
  25. I scored a 2 out of 12. Don't think that is very good. Oh well. Guess I need to start waxing my back drinking in trendy bars. TXAG
