  1. I can't help you with a specific laptop but can tell you that GATEWAY's customer service sucks a$$. Blows big time...and on and on and on. I had a nightmare experience with them on a PC and will not buy another. Not sure what my next one will be but I can tell you for sure IT WON'T BE A GATEWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TXAG
  2. I have a SS Ed Brown on my Springfield. I like it. My .02. TXAG
  3. Thanks Flex, will try not to do that again TXAG
  4. OK OK OK, somehow I have managed to create two different accounts. I will keep this one (for now) TXAG
  5. Same deal here. Takes about 2/10 of a grain more to make major with a plated or jacketed bullet of the same weight vs. lead in my P16. TXAG
  6. paraman, it is true that no words can comfort you at a time like this. But... Keep the faith and take care of the family you have left. They are the ones who will truely care and take care of you. TXAG
  7. S&W 686 plus(7 round) in 4" length. XTP handload TXAG
  8. my mag catch spring is what ever came with the Dawson mag catch. I dump mags because my grip is right over the top of it and with that big button under my finger I end up pushing it... out comes the mag. I just pull it off so I don't do it. I actually threaded it all the way in and then cut the bottom round half off. That helped. It is a fairly heavy spring. TXAG
  9. Hey, remember I said many(and maybe should have said some) LE. I am not dogging them all, just the big ego, add a$$ ones that couldn't hit a barn from the inside and still think they are God with a gun. That doesn't just go for LE only. I am talking about all of them(you know who you are). Back it up or SHUT UP! I like to joke with my local shooters and there is some firece competion between a few of us, but I am still a lowly C shooter and know it! TXAG
  10. Flex, I looked and could only find US 5.2.6 that says... same firearm/sighting system for all courses of fire... If taking it off is a violation, I couldn't find it. TXAG
  11. Let me start by saying that I support all law enforcement in my area and around the country for that matter. Many police officers have really big egos. They had a little training with a gun, qualified(barely in some cases) and are now certified officers and carry a gun. They are the best there ever was and you can't tell them any different. If you ever have one come shoot a match and they finish somewhere in the basement. Don't expect to see them there again. They don't like being shown up in public by the public who are below them in their minds(remember I said many not all LE). I do not understand this. If I saw that my training that was suppose to give me the ability to protect myself and others was lacking. I believe I would want to improve by shooting more! They let their egos blind them of this point. I have tried to get LE officers to come shoot with us, but only have one current and a couple of retired LE as regulars. It is hopeless. I am getting off the track of this topic but I just thought this important since the "person in question" was LE. I have also noticed that many LE officers aren't the safest gun handlers in the world. What happened to proper training? Once again, I support them all, but wish some of them could turn loose of the BIG EGOS, and come have fun at the range with us TXAG
  12. My extended mag catch is from Dawson Precision. I love it, except weak hand shooting. Have to take the buttom off. Drop mags all the time while firing. TXAG.
  13. Here is what I have done to mine since I bought it 2 yrs ago. 1. Fiber-optic front sight. 2. Dawson No-Fit mag well. (Requires minor fitting, but is very nice and fits tight.) 3. Steel mag catch w/ extended button. 4. Stipled factory grips( used saudering iron) 5. Trigger job, 2.5# 6. Opened up and polished feed ramp for better feeding. 7. Dawson extended base pads for 20 rd. mags(4 of them) 8. 14# recoil spring to replace factory that felt like 18# 9. Wilson Combat shock buffs. Have had no problems with functioning. I have a barrel ordered (Bar-Sto) for it. Accuracy isn't the best with anything. Probably adaquate for IPSC but I am a perfectionist when it comes to accuracy. Hope this helps guide you. TXAG
  14. Do people really have cars w/o A/C? How can they live like that? TXAG
  15. The no-fit Para magwell from Dawson fit great on my P16. The "Ice" is about the same with a polymer insert. Mine fits very tight with no problems. TXAG
  16. I like the fact that after almost falling down once and having to reshoot a stage for range malfunction, and having a basically shjtty match, I pulled it out of the crapper and shot my highest classifier ever. 85% Good things eventually come to those who screw up enough. TXAG
  17. I hate the f#*@ing heat and the fact that I have to work out in it. TXAG

Ain't Texas great! I laugh harder every time I read that. TXAG
  19. Not one mention about Jennifer Aniston? Worth going just to see her. TXAG
  20. OK, I decided to add mine to the list. "Buster Flower" TXAG
  21. My dealer locally is so good; he calls me (home and cell) and lets me know when there is something of interest to me in store(new or used). Guess I just have it made here in the great state of Texas. TXAG
  22. I have had TG stick to the sides of my Uniflow powder measure. I don't know what it is but I have to take an old toothbrush to get it all out before changing powders. What is up with bad mouthing RCBS? They have a better warranty than Dillon. I know, I know, Dillon has better presses, but RCBS warranties all their presses for LIFE! No exceptions. As some of you may know from my posts, Dillon does not. I have run nothing but TG through my Dillon and it has begun to discolor the plastic hopper(kinda yellowish color). Best advise, don't leave your powder in the hopper. I do, guess I will see how Dillon warraties their corroded plastic!? Just my $.02! TXAG
  23. Hell yes, poor customer service sucks. If they drag their feet on ordering or finding something you want, TAKE YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE! I am lucky. I have a good friend who I shoot with who also happens to own one of the local gun stores. If I want it ,he will find it or die trying. TXAG
  24. Anyone shot these 220 in a 40? Friend of mine gave me several 220 precision bullets to try. I figured I would load a few and see how they do. I loaded a dummy round to 1.190 just to see if it would chamber in my gun. It did, so I have to try these huge chunks of lead in the 40. TXAG
