  1. I completely agree about to many hoser stages. I design the stages for our local club. I try to keep it balenced to keep everyone happy. I personally don't like all the hosing. I prefer targets at any and all ranges to 50 yds. Just wish I could hit those long ones consistantly! TXAG
  2. counted 5, took me forever to find that sixth one. That is strange. TXAG
  3. I had the Kimber polymer target in 45. I loved the gun. It was accurate, and reliable. The frame is made by Bul. If their complete guns are as good as my Kimber was I would give them high marks. TXAG
  4. I get my Oakleys for 1/2 price, will stick with them till that source dries up! TXAG
  5. Our club has allowed a shooter to compete with a .22 before. The score conts for nothing but they got the experience and had fun. Think finding 9 holes can be tough, try finding .22 holes in a well used IPSC target! TXAG
  6. How about the moron that reads the paper while driving!? Yes, I talk on my phone while driving. I don't have a problem doing both. TXAG
  7. I get 21 in my P16 mags. Dawson pads, Arrendondo followers, factory springs. It is very tight though. You have to make sure they are seated completely and engage the mag catch. I usually load 20 in them so there is no problem with geting them to seat w/ a speedy reload. I could trim followers and maybe get one more in but I like the way it runs, yet to have a FTF. TXAG
  8. S_I if you can bankrole it, Para P16/.40(my blaster) for a little less. You can be competitive with either. GOOD LUCK and welcome to the forum. TXAG
  9. OK, first there are no beans in "real chili. Second, the one important ingredient I didn't see in any of these recipes...TEQUILA! Not that cheap rot-gut stuff either. I really need to find my recipe soon. Chilifest in Snook, TX is coming up very soon. I highly recommend this even to anyone who has never been. If I find my recipe I will post it. TXAG
  10. Gun Geek, never take a Mk II apart unless you are some expert. I tried it once...$126 later Ruger had mine put back together good as new. If you leave a certain part out(not sure which) when you put it back together it will run full auto for awhile. Kinda neat till it quits working. It is very controlable though . TXAG
  11. I have never owned a gun that I never shot. I have never owned a gun that I didn't put a few rounds through within 2 days of purchase. I have lost count of how many firearms I actually own now. They all get shot once or twice a year though. TXAG
  12. I haven't been able to bring myself to buy a $2000 gun yet. My P16 after mods ran me about $1300. If I made it to B class I might have to consider a 2k. TXAG
  13. Many, many years of magizes, manuals, f***-ups with disassembly, and Hallock's .45 Auto Handbook. The latter taught me about my 1911s after I couldn't figure out how to put one back together. TXAG
  14. I am a Texas A&M graduate and damn proud of it! No Aggie jokes please. TXAG
  15. I have shot TG in everything from 28 to 102F and all ranges of humidity. I have not noticed any difference in PF through feel or chrono. Reneet, you thought San Angelo was hot and humid? That is a desert. Try Houston in July. That is hot and HUMID! TXAG
  16. 2.443 I will get under 2. Need mouse upgrade. TXAG

Do they know anything about alcohol or tobacco either? And why are those three things that are "so closely related" grouped under one agency anyway? TXAG
  18. GUN TESTS. I get American Rifleman, but that comes with NRA membership. Gun TESTS takes no advertising $$$ so they can tell you when a gun is crap!! TXAG
  19. OK, my .02. Remington makes a 700 LTR. It has a 20" fluted heavy barrel and comes in .223 and 308. .223 would have little to no recoil and mine in .308 is very light on recoil. The rifle weighs about 9 pounds. Mine will regularly shoot 1/2" @ 100yds. The new ones have floor plates the older(2yrs ago) had the Remington detachable mags. Another cartridge to consider is the 7mm-08. Light on recoil, big on performance. The Savage Scout format is a reasonable gun that will shoot with the best of them. Good luck. TXAG
  20. I own 2 550s. I love them. I am not saying the 650 isn't nice but I can load rifle on both the 550s. It is a very versitile press. I wouldn't mind a 650 set up for .40. Then one 550 in .45 and one in 223. Then I wouldn't have to change anything ever. TXAG
  21. Hornady one shot is the sh**! Don't buy that over-priced RCBS case remover. Check it out at the local gun store and go to the hardware store and buy the same stuff for under 2 dollars. My .02 TXAG
  22. Happy TG loader here. Cheaper, easy to find, clean burning. TXAG
  23. Mr. Sandbagger here, or so I am called. I botch the classifiers all the time. I do better "runnin' and gunnin'". I should be in B class for limited but I just can't seem to get there. Some day I will get lucky. Forever 58% TXAG
