  4. invest in some more manuals you can never have enough and you will be able to cross reference between the books load data. I have tried wolf, omg! Federal! Winchester and CFO primers and CCI is my 1st choice then Winchester, I have tested them and I have not seen a big difference in preasure(ALWAYS START @ THE STARTING LOAD AND WORK YOUR WAY UP!) not all bullets brands have the profile even if they are the same weight I use Hornady 115 & 124gr.xtp/hp, Mg 124gr.hp & if I need bullets asap cause my MG's haven't came in yet I use Rainier(PLATED) 124gr.hp I have not yet found a pet load so I have been tweeking I use Allients Power Pistol it versatile I use it my 40cal, 45ACP, 38spl/357mag and 44mag al measures well not that exspensive 4L b jug 53 bux powdervally.com. Purchasing in bulk will save you some money and/or allow you to shoot more.. Good luck..

  12. I also give it a slight belling where the bullet stands on its own without tipping when indexing..
  13. Truth is the secret of eloquence and of virtue, the basis of moral authority; it is the highest summit of art and life. Henri-Frédéric Amiel
  14. +1 get the reloader. The,550 is a great machine you wont be disapointed. Get into competition now before you do the 3gun to get the feel of things. Or get the press and supplies, shotgun and at the same time do 3gun buy once cry once, is that what they say?
  15. I think the RL550B is great for those who are getting into a progressive reloading! I never used the 650 so I can't. Comment on that ,but the 550 cranks out loads like nothing and that's not trying to load my ammo fast, so I can just imagine how many the 650 w/casefeeder can kick out. But that's my .02 I think it would be best to contact Brian and also get the conversin kits for the calibers you are reloading for it will speed things up and your reloading bench will be organized due to the tool head stands... don't forget to buy your supplies (bullets, primers, powders & brass)in bulk its somewhat cheaper good luck, have fun & be safe..
  16. I use Montana Gold & Hornady XTP/HP 180gr. With 6.4 gr. Power pistol my wife loves this load good for paper target shooting it has SOME snap to it but with practice its manageable. I also loaded 6.9 to 7.0gr. And had better grouping more snappyer, C.O.L. 1.135-40 .420 taper crimp, CCI Sm.Pp. and somtime mixed brass. Using my RL550B also and testing my loads through my Glock27(babyGlock.40) I have made loads with 7.4gr. (I beleave it was that I dont have my load data in front of me)Of P.P. but it kicks harder then a mule, uncomfortable shooting felt like getting hit in the hand with a hammer or something close to that. Good luck...
