  3. Are all dillon decaping pins the.same say like I broke a pin from my dillon re sizer die to a 9mm pin, can I use the extra pin that I might have stored for my 45acp, or are they all different? Sorry not trying to take over thread..

  5. Update yesterday the wife walked the dog but one of the dogs ran off so my wife called out to our dog who but who calls out that crazy ol'bird.... He was about a block down in a tree, funny cause my wife had to climb it so funny... Just glad to have him home.. And he act like it never happen! If he only knew..
  6. I recently lost a Umbrella Cockatoo well I didn't my brother inlaw lost my umbrella, here is what happened.. I have been helping my brother inlaw reloading on his press he wanted to use my 550B 45acp conversion, me being kind and generis I thought it would be fine droped the stuff off at his moms house but forgot the case gage so I told em to pic it up in the morning. Morning came he's at my house while I'm at work told em to get what he needs and lock the door. I get a call from my wife that Kaine is gone! I asked what happened she said her brother( Eric casillas putting him on blast) took my umbrella Kane out of his cage and took him outside and put em on my picnic table and went to the garage to get the case gage and goes inside without the bird. My wife asked him where is kane his words "Oh sh@t!" Runs out comes back and says the bird is gone, my wife started balling her eyes and asked him why would he do that? He reply's "I didn't know he would fly away"... What a F'n retard! I been walking blocks and.blocks to,find em the past few days but nothing.... I can just kick his a55... I bought kane 9years ago for my wife for our 1year anniversary from a breeder in Mi who is no longer breeding birds. I was working a minimum wage job cause I lost my previous job so,i struggles to pay for the bird, I work long hours smashed fingers, bled busted my a55 lost sleep, stood and work 18 hrs in the.cold to get the money for kane. I taught em to talk& bark like a dog infact he act like a dog, the boy had no business touching my bird and just irresponsibly leave him unattended, he has made no effort to help look or even call,me to apologize. Saturday kinda suck now cause I love to order chicken and pizza for my fammily and he would join us cause that was his favorite.. My kids cried the first day and I also secretly had shed a year or few... We will miss you Kane and you where not then just a bird you was more like a son! Be free..
  7. How thick is the work bench top? With the strong mount's I'm sure it would, I have mine sitting top of bench too. also take in mind that the tabel height and your own height. I have mine on the strong mount but my bench a but under my waistline cause the strong mount will sit higher, jaunted to be able to peek in the brass I am loading without having to stand on my tippy toes..
  8. emptyquote name='jstone' timestamp='1341985033' post='1740908'] If your bolt carrier is not the same length as any other it means it was done by the previous owner. No company sells a shorter carrier, some sell low mass but none that are shorter. That would still not make up for a bolt that was to long. That is your first problem. Replace it with a bcg of known quality like bcm, Daniel defense, noveske, or any of the companies who make a mil-spec bcg. DPMS never has made any ar that meets mil-spec standards. Your load is way to lite as well average charge weight for a 55fmj is 25 grains. Your diagnosis is wrong the empty is not hitting the cartridge being loaded. Cartridge is ejected long before it attempts to feed from the magazine. I tried to measure a carrier but they are longer than my six inch calipers. Another thing to check is your extractor it may fix your extraction problems. This is true no AR manufacturer sells a shorter carrier. I meant to say I had added a class 3 conversion kit before hand and from what I was told from the gun smith where I purchased the Ar and conversion kit said that the carrier was ?? Of an inch bit too long. He said that because of the length of the carrier is a bit longer that it was chambering a round before it was ejecting the empty.. I am still tweaking my load I will bump up my powder drop to 25.0gr. I will consider the extractor a problem and pay more attention to it when I hot the range. Thank you for your reply Jstone..
  9. i love my credit union, they dont have fees like the banks but i do know that all if not most financial institutions have fees, but they seem to always work and bend the rules a little als give me a family orientated. and i like how i can do share branching allowing me to use credit unions in kentucky, florida, indiana and illinois..
  10. everything has its own way of working itself out.
  11. TOM is not the most accurate gun in the safe! Katie ahhhhhhhh!
  12. i picked up a single stage a month ago and tried reloading on it and ahhhhh from my diagnosis,I DONT LIKE IT! i am happy with my RL550B i do use th single stage to deprime/resize 223/5.56 and resizing .40cal bulge busting with the GRX push die that works perfectly on a single stage.....
  13. One other possible cause of your jams is that your loads may be too light to make the bolt carrier operate properly. According to Sierra Data for an AR the mininum powder weight for H335 is 23.6 g. It may be worth slowly increased the powder weight, watching for pressure signs of course. Steve +1 With 22.9gr H335 and Hornady 55s, I got an average of just under 2600 fps out of my 16" CTR-02, which is around 300 fps less than Am Eagle out of the same gun. My testing showed fairly linear 150 fps / grain H335 in this span, so I was at Am Eagle velocities at around 25gr. what style 55gr Hornady bullets? i tried the vmaxx but the c.o.a.l was to long and would give me feeding problems.. i am a fan of Hornady bullets would like to still see if i can tweek it to safly shoot through my AR, thanks for your reply..

According to Sierra Data for an AR the mininum powder weight for H335 is 23.6 g. It may be worth slowly increased the powder weight, watching for pressure signs of course. Steve i beleave i have found the problem. a legal class 3 conversion kit was added to the AR and the bolt was too long and had been swopt out for a shorter bolt carrier.. as it was chambering a round it would hit the spent casing as it was being ejected. i still shot the bullets with out a broblem through the AR c.o.a.l 2.200 23.0gr.H335 no problems, thanks for your help..
  15. The solution is to re-order new MG 55g bullets with the new higher cannelure. The old cannelure could not be used and loaded to proper OAL spec. I had them re-design them so that they could be loaded to spec. They have them ready to ship as of today. thanks for your reply, i did shoot the rest 800 bullets through my AR with fewer issues to none regardless of where the cannelure and c.o.a.l spec.. i did order a few more thousand bullets ..
  16. What's the old 450B's look like? I never seen one..
  17. Thanks Bob, sorry you didn't have a good shoot, good luck on your next match..
  18. My Dillon dies work great but if I get picky and wonna bust that "bulge"? Redding carbide GR-X sizing die for my .40 on a single stage (since you got the single stage already) oh RCBS full length sizer for my 223 everything else DILLON! Why spend the money for a more exspensive die if a less exspensive die can do the same for less. . Good luck..
  19. Welcome.. Front sight, front sight, front sight!
  20. I say drop the money on a 550 or a 650! I own a 550 but now I want a 650... The 550 is a awsome press more then enough of what I need.. Good luck.
  21. So I had a chance to experiment with my loads shot 200 reloaded rounds and all but 6 had with no issue, the others have had the bullet heads set back in the casing... 23gr. H335 c.o.a.l 2.200" @ 26?? fps (I don't have my crono info with me) I still have minor issues with it not feeding right snot 10 time's it would jam.. Was talkin with a friend said it sounds like a issue with the bolt assembly might not giving that extra ummmph to kick the casing out! (FYI)
  22. I say it's that bar for sure, a few weeks back started loading on my 550 also for my AR when it came to setting the powder drop it wasn't passing 23.? I too was like wtf started.messing with the wing but for it no go! Took a few min and regrouped and started from the begining and noticed my setup for my 44mag then it hit me I had swiped that bar out to get too 23 gr. changed it out drops H335 with no problem now..
