  1. no I could have left early and not upset my dad. 59 years old and I and still wont cross him.tough old man, combat medic with the 1st armored div. and the reason I spent 20 years in the air force
  2. shooting Revo nationals this last weekend and when I got to chrono stage I was wishing I didn't make minor, I shot real bad all day, 2 people that I shot with before stoped and asked what was wrong the never seen me shoot so poorly, I guess there was to much going on, had a film crew with me for some added stress, and I wanted to get to ST Louis. asap to see my dad at Barnes med center, ( got the call sat that they had to fly him there friday night) and he didn't want me to come till after the shoot, so not making power would have got me there sooner and not have such a low score on record. had fun anyway, now if my dad would get better it would be perfect.
  3. I had a friend that shot a 357 sig open. at 210 PF it shot very flat but you had to be in the next county to not flinch when it went off.RO's use to duck and cover there heads.
  4. Absolutely. No question about that. Rob number #2 Ray Chapman should be #1, 1st world champ and helped start this sport
  5. i shoot with another revo shooter we are about equal, he is a better shot and i know how to play this game( been shooting for a lot of years) and we push each other, we both just shot our first GM score on a classifier at the same match, I was not getting any better till he started shooting at our club , some times it just nice to have some one to shoot against.
  6. shot this one wit a revo Hf 7.199 comes up as 0% in the calc. not sure were it will come out as
  7. I just had 03-09 (on the move) show up on this months scores as a 96.2700 good thing they coded it a A.that would really mess with my Classification, as a mid B
  8. that's what I told them, but they say it's true. just trying to find out for sure. guess I'll email USPSA and forward answer to this clubs match dir.
  9. (important notice about classifiers Effective immediately, per the USPSA Board of Directors, classifiers removed in January have been reinstated and may be used at all level matches.) this is on USPSA web site but was but was told that an email was received from USPSA this last week, clubs were told they are out again, has anyone else heard or is this club mixed up on this?
  10. All I said was I want one and they said good luck
  11. no kidding http://www.ricecreekgunfair.com/ factory bring in there guns for people to try.shot a bunch of guns s&w 929 Sig AR pistol, Nemo 300win mag AR, and others even put rounds thru a civil war Gatling and it cost me $10 parking
  12. got to handle and fire a new 929 at reeds sports gun show in little falls MN. I need 1 of these now
  13. Wires break! Also, you would have to make sure that the time from the button push to the first port opening is the same for all the shooters or you would wind up with re-shoots or having to toss the stage. Interesting idea but the devil is in the details! Out of curiosity, why? There's already variation in when shooters start with an audible start, because different ROs have different patterns between "Stand by" and hitting the button. As long as it's relatively consistent, I don't think you can really toss the stage if it's 2.5 vs 3 seconds for two different shooters. I could see this if it were a full second or more. It is not the time between standby and the start signal. I am talking about the time between the timer starting and the targets coming visible. With an audible start the beep and the timer start at more or less the same time (probably within milliseconds). After that, it is all on the shooter's reaction time. In this example of a visual start, the timer starts silently and then after whatever delay is in the mechanical system, the targets are presented. Different animal. And while you and probably other shooters may not notice/care about 0.5 seconds, you can bet damn sure that a GM will and those are the guys who would arb the stage and get it thrown out! why would there be a .05 sec delay, last time I checked elect signals travel pretty fast and relays work very fast too, dont expect any delays it all depends on how its put together. and I have been planning this for awhile, and for the timmer there wont be much movement so DCing the timmer from the wires won't be an issue
  14. thinking setting up a stage with a visual start, Thinking of a series of ports that open the 1st one will open with a timer. I have a ced 7000 that has the output port and if you hook a relay that would release a port to start. and then poppers to open the others. would this work. I think it could be fun and something that you don't see every day
  15. those of you that have shot matches in the Dakotas and Montana may know this name Bruce Magstadt. I just received an email that he passed away tonight. he had been fighting illness for awhile but he still showed up for last months club match to visit with his friends. I first meet him in the early 90's shooting in Bismarck ND, and over the years he has become a good friend to me and this sport and will be missed,I will even miss the sound of his 357 sig open gun and his 210 PF loads going off.
  16. Sunday Shooters: Check In: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 3 in the PASA Club Office at Smith & Wesson Hall / PASA Park. Mandatory Shooter’s Meeting 7:30am Sunday morning at the range. Shooting starts immediately after.
  17. after Saturday registration I don't think you will be able to change from major to minor. If remember right if you register major and change to a 8 shot Sunday AM and fire a 7 the shot it's welcome to open. so staying late to see how the stages are set up could be a bad plan.
  18. 8 shot, start positions changed on a few, and time was added in the standards, I think only 2-3 targets were pulled for the whole match
  19. my wife has 2 she uses all the time, when any one asks her how she is doing she says she feels smurfy or she is happer than a jack=== eating catus
  20. I'm not sure were this goes, so I thought I would post it here.I know people like to video then self shooting matches, and I have no problem with this.. but as of late our local club has a person that is videoing everyone and it is starting to cause a problem, he is holding up stages as he setup and turns on cameras, and he came up and moved me out of his way, the only problem I was 1 of the RO's, and I was in his way,not sure what I could do can a person be DQed and ask to leave the area, becouse talking has not worked so far, I'm going to talk to the club Pres. and VP tonight an see if I can get this fixed before there is a problem and someone gets hurt.
