  1. Shoot me an E-Mail and let me know what you need, I may be able to help.
  2. Trust me, it is never to late to start shooting. Welcome
  3. Shoot with better shooters and watch how they break a stage down to shoot it. I know when I started I would shoot a Steal that would activate a trunner of clam shell, and stand there a wait for the target. Now I look for something to shoot before the mover moves. Some times you just have to go for it.
  4. I am right handed so I have a little more weight on the balls of my left foot, and on the signal I snap my head around. When I do this seems like everything else just happens. Not as good as in the video.
  5. Shot at the indoor range tonight and what i ended up with was 16# recoil spring and 17# main spring. Also one of our better shooters had me relax the grip on my right hand (my strong hand) because twice tonight I froze up on a turnner with my second shot. I shoot a match this week end I will see how this works.
  6. I have both, but have had a few feed problems with Chip Mc. I guess from what i here i will get a couple more wilson.
  7. Do you have to have the Sketchup Pro or can you just use the free down load.
  8. I use a bladetech for SS and CR speed for limited 10. I know the ghost is good i just like my barrel setting on a platform.
  9. Are you on target? (A zone) I thank you should keep your eyes on target. Try this, set youself up in line with the target, close your eyes and follow through with the draw, don't move and see where the gun is pointing. Learn to feel the draw and make it natural. Try it in total darkness and leave your eyes open. I'am at the age my reflexes are very good and I can make a 1.3 draw at 10yd. and can be in the A or C zone eveytime. Sometimes I have that magical moment I am so fast I suprise myself and forget to shoot the second shot, this is only in practice. Hi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Hell San Antonio, I have not been a member very long, seems like alot of good people, they will help you if you don't beleve me just ask a question. A world of information on the Forum, so start reading. Welcome Bouttime
  11. I'am not sure about a 40. I shot the Big Dawg Steal match with my 1911-45 with a 130 power factor and used 10# recoil spring. It felt good.
  12. Don't know if this is right, but when I here, are you ready, I draw a breath in and nod my head, let the breath out slow and relax. I still have plenty air when the buzzer sounds. As for as my breathing during the course of fire I really don't know, but I never feel out of breath when I get through, even on the long courses.
  13. Thanks Merlin, I shoot on Tuesday nights I will try this and see what happens, I do have a #16 & #14 spring, I will try these also. Thanks again.
  14. I have a RL 550 and I can reload about 250 rounds in an hour, this is after I get everything laid out and ready to go. A 650 would be nice.
  15. Thanks everyone, I know I have a #17 recoil spring but not sure what the main spring weight is. I will get more springs and try everyone suggestions. I do us buffer pads. The 200g, LSWC with 4.2g of clays gives me a 168 power factor.
  16. I shoot a Kimber 1911, 45acp. I shoot major. I run a recoil spring that lets the brass clear by about 4 feet. Is this good way to tell if you have the correct spring. I use 200g LSWC. Also which is better the 200g or a 185g LSWC.
  17. I think I will practice that, to see if I can take some time off my draw.
  18. Good looking racks. What heardness of steal do you have to use for hand gun?
  19. I made a table 40" high and I use a bar stool with a back. I have my feet on the rail and can pretty much see every thing that is going on. I have a birds eye view of the powder. This works great for me.
  20. I play around with stage design, would really like to know how you get the effects. Its like looking down on the stage. Great design, I would like to us this sometime.
  21. I am pretty new at this, but from the hands at side position I bring my left hand across the lower abdoman to meet the right hand. From the surrender position I come down and across. If anyone have any other suggestions let me know. My draw is 1.4 sec. but keep in mind I am little old.
  22. When i was a kid my Dad always told me to keep both eyes open, I was 8 then. I was on the Marine Crop rifle team and we were taught then to keep both eyes open. If you learn to keep both eyes open I think you will shoot better.
  23. If you want a good energy drink mix some Whey Protein with Goat milk, make you feel good and it last longer. When you look down the barrel of a gun you can keep up with the sight. Caffeine will jack you up tighter than a Bango String on a Saturday night.
  24. The longer I work on my draw, I really get tight through the neck. I don't know what to do to keep me relaxed. I am ok in the arms and back.
