Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Your right G-man . I am "thinking" I am seeing my sights but really they are only in my peripheral.
  2. Figured it out. ran several 10 shot strings, drawing and firing two shots. Ran one string with first shot 1.20's to low 1.30's, 2nd shot in low .30's. Am really excited...thinking I rocking. then next string miss a few low and right. slow down a heart beat, same thing.misses consistantly same place. so on next string get set, hit timer ,close eyes and draw.open my eyes..... I am looking at target, gun is pointed to right. Do this several more times...Same thing. NAP seems to have moved. monkey with stance, shoulder position and still pointing right. Set form back to original and start pulling arms back to body.Viola I am overextending. Pull back an inch or so and I am centered on target.
  3. Didn't feel give out but maybe. Flex I do sometimes catch the slide with my thumb enough to slow it down. I see the muzzle blast when I really focus on front sight.G-man I do fight to rush the shot the more tense I get.I figured I could go throw rounds down range and get myself to free up, like going and hitting several buckets of balls on the driving range .Thanks ya'll
  4. Set up a IPSC sized target at 15 yards. Went to work on Drawing and getting two shots on target. Started ok and worked on settling front sight on target.About 40 rounds in started missing right(Shoot Lefty).....thought I might need to adjust sights. This did not help after I went back to timer, missing in same place. so gun isn't prob(which it rarely is).But if I were flinching or pulling shot shouldn't I miss left instead of right. I paid attention and couldn't see the sight obviously move, but the gun is getting off target somehow. SO what are the possibilites. If it was my golf swing I could fix it. I am at a lose and know I am asking the impossible, but throw me some ideas.
  5. Are there any out there for a double stack?
  6. ok thanks guys. I definitely have enough bad habits aleady.......tpcdvc ya'll don't have any good birddogs in Tn?
  7. From holster to first shot( on target) with head up and eyes level is around 1.5 sec. average, but if I have head down and watch hand go to grip , snap eyes to target while gun is coming up I am 1.1-1.2. Is this ok or I am I just adding a bad habit to be overcome later?
  8. Is there an app for blackberry comparable to "perfect practice" for I phone ?
  9. Thanks Jman. Am big into calling coyotes.....and am pretty good at making em D.R.T., thats where deathdealer comes in. By the way tell your govenor "Keep up the Good fight"
  10. Thanks Crane . That was helpful. I probably could get my center a little lower? http://s719.photobucket.com/albums/ww193/deathdealer2/?action=view&current=M2U00144.mp4
  11. My right arm is a lil below left;due to golfing righty I think. Should I work on getting it parellal to left or leave it alone?
  12. Catfish I appreciate your 180 concern, but in a match I wont have timer clipped on my pocket. And I sure believe your right I have a tendancy to look over rather than through. The black and white photo of the church is breathtaking by the way.
  13. Holy Smoke, THANKS for the advice. I didn't realize I was standing flat footed till I saw the video.Sure didn't know I should have my feet staggered, but it makes perfect sense.Everything ya'll have told me explains why I lost the last two shots on a classifier a couple of weeks ago. Got a lot to work on. Really appreciate it!!!!
