Well, tried out my new Wilson 8rd mag and consistantly had a stove pipe with next-to-last round. 70 series Mk (1979) Federal 230gr fmj Put the factory (Colt) mag back into play. Even fed it a mix bag (fmj, sp, hp, etc) out of one loading. Not so much as a hiccup. Put the Wilson back in with fmj's and yep-sir, next-to-last round stove piped! Never had this happen to me. Could I have picked up a bad mag? Just glad I only picked up 1 mag to try. What to do? What to do?

Looks like a wealth of information here. Don't know if I will ever shoot match, never know though.Found this site quite by accident. Was looking for parts for my 70 series Mk IV and found it. Hope you don't mind me hanging around. Heck, shooting match may be a possibility. In the meantime, still like to get opinions on gear. There is a pretty big gun show in Houston next weekend I plan to attend. Any one there would probably recognize me. I'll be the middle-aged guy with the "kid in the candy store" expression on my face! thanks, 1hole
