  1. 1/8 inch is really more than needed. I make them out of .080 and work with either metal or pmags. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Very interesting. Care to expound? I would have thought seeing others run a stage first might reveal "aha" moments. By going first it makes you look for those aha moments instead of just following becuase so and so did it. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  3. * keeps mouth quiet about holsters Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Remember when putting gas blocks on that when the original is on there is a piece of sheet metal that keeps the fsb from going all the way back to the shoulder on the barrel. Not every manufacture takes that into account when designing their block, it may be necessary to leave a small gap between block and shoulder where the handguard cap would be. 5. Stack 5 of them and its like a dueling tree. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Look to Kurt or Trapper .... They just posted a pic of an xs installed for someone on Facebook just the other day. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Hurley, sorry to hear about the truck. Good to hear the wife and kid were ok. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  8. I think Chris Anderson was wearing a pair on Saturday at Pro Am. They looked like a solid pair of pants to me. I just gotta find some on closeout somewhere cause I'm cheap. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  9. It's not shortened. The left and right legs are still the same length. Only thing I did was round the half moon cut in the bottom. The cut isn't any further back than stock it just doesn't have the step on the left and right sides like it did from the factory. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  10. I thought he was trained on a flintlock. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Tek lok is expensive. 10 plus dollars per Tek lok if you are going to retro fit. With the velcro belts I'd suggest just going with the normal back and put a piece of velcro on the back of the caddy. I just shot the pro am and honestly only put my belt on for stage 6, everything else was on a Tek lok and I just put them on the inner belt. Most times it was just a back up mag that I had on. Or stage 5 where I had 3 caddies and a loaded shotgun for 18 plates. Stage 2 in the car I had 2 shotgun caddies only on me so I didn't snag in the car and had my rifle mags staged in the trunk with my rifle. With the format that the pro am was shot in with plenty of time between stages reconfiguration was easy and not rushed. I think if I didn't have things on Tek lok I would be shooting a safariland ELS belt. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  12. FUN???? One bolt lock reload and 11 slugs later, I got my three hits. I would have loved to drill those targets w/ my rifle when I got it in my hands... I agree they were reasonable targets though, I just need much more work shooting slugs. Only fun slug stage I've ever shot was the shoot house at Benning in '10. 22 rounds of slugs in the shoot house WAS fun. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2 I kinda enjoyed the start outside the house as well I enjoyed hammering on LaPewp targets at 25 yards too. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2

  14. funny u should bring up c-products mags. i was a large dealer for them (10,000 ar mags a year). when they were active they gave me 4 samples at shot. in my mind i said no way. most reliable really hi caps i have ever seen. just used 2 at rock castle 3-4 times. have used them for over 1-2 years or so. NEVER had a jam or failure to feed. didn't do anything. BIG NOTE i am also a full line sure dealer. bought 200 surefire mags when i saw them at shot. cancelled all orders after 1st 50 arrived. just a heads up. not fooling with anything so finicky. as Alaska p-- said if u cant drop them or have to nurse them i wont own them. in our goody bag at r/c was a magpul. bought the Nordic extension thingy. gonna give that a try when i get time. nuff said jjw With the nordic pmag extension just make sure you smooth the internal transition between the two bodies. Mine would hang up until I filed it to a smooth transition. No problems since in the last two years. tks guy the heavy set guy with the Mohawk strip told me about that. i got him to show me 1 as my gun friends think there should be a 7 day waiting period for me to use a dremel. 1 of my best friends is a regional glock trainer. when i ask him he always say WAIT I WILL BE HOME SOON l.o.l. Will SMOOTH IT carefully jjw A pocketknife and a piece of sandpaper is all that is needed. Just scrape the mag and the extension with the knife then smooth it pit with the sandpaper. 15. In most outlaw matches yes. USPSA sanctioned match no, UNLESS you do it in a safe area. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Very easy to find different accuracy nodes for same bullet and charge. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Leave your pistol bagged and only put your belt on when you are in the hole. Put it on to preload your shotgun, take it off to reset, put it back on to shoot and reload your caddies. Then when done shooting go slip your belt back off and get back to resetting. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Here is my pro tip of the day. After talking with Mr M at pro am...... Take your piston out of the sleeve on the bottom of the barrel, clean the gas ports in the barrel with a pick of some sort. While you have the piston in hand, shake it, if the rings don't move freely and rattle, pry them off the piston and make the sum biotches shine. I thought that mine were clean until I grabbed my other piston and saw how free the rings were on it in comparison. I put cleaned the snot out of my rings with a pick and a wire wheel on my dremel. I guess I didn't realize just how gummed up they get with carbon and whatever else. Hopefully I'll get to run over to a friends house this week and see what's up but I am seriously hoping that is the problem. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  19. No, cause I didn't add any weight to the lifter. All I did was round out the end to one continuous radius instead of a smaller radius inside. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Yeah I'm a hack and I admit it. But only thing I've done is open the feed port on mine cover the ports and round out the lifter. Nothing an am smith couldn't do themselves. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  21. HAHAHA. I had a feeling reasons like this were behind most of the Arf crew staying low key. When you have 10's of thousands of users on your site, you are bound to make someone unhappy. I'm not unhappy about it. It happened, they did what they felt was best for their site. It's cool. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Was kinda interesting meeting Ed and being cordial to him when he checked in even though I am banned from arfcom lol. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  23. Clip 3 coils off the firing pin spring. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2 I'll give it a whirl. I really want to like the gun. Having it crap out mid-stage (especially that stage) was maddening. Mine took a dump on pro stage 8, first stage I shot. Should have packed it up and went home then. But borrowed a shotgun, shot pro 7 today and shot 9 slugs for 2 hits. Damn seeing too much rib......but live and learn. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  24. Clip 3 coils off the firing pin spring. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
  25. I've got another piston somewhere at home I just need to find it. I don't think I threw it out when I moved but there's no telling where it is. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
