  1. Putting "only" in there makes it less painful... Only $8k... Only 3 year lead time...
  2. Just got the gun out and the battery is DOA. Voltage is 0.3. I guess 2 batteries across a season isn't terrible. But I won't be putting a new one in till I need to go shoot again...
  3. Damn Majik timers! LOL... I got one last year. They are expensive and the long leads times hurt as no one including me is patient. But they are fun to mess around with for dry fire. Once you get it it will have been worth the wait and expense.
  4. I feel guilty every time I adjust the brightness on mine...
  5. What ammo load PF etc are you running? Is the secret to flattest gun ever the gun ammo or operator?
  6. I have a rifle that needs refinished. Thinking of calling this guy... https://ifunny.co/picture/my-neighbor-got-a-paint-gun-from-harbor-freight-and-CD94adwa9
  7. Did you use your CC to purchase? My dad had a similar problem ordering from a manufacture of a big bore semi auto pistol chambered in 475WM. They gave him the run around for close to a year and he finally called AMEX and they took care of him and refunded his money.
  8. I have 2 XLs in 6moa, both bought off this forum, one was supposedly new never fired and the other used very little. Seems buttons have been causing problems for others and I was told since these sights have motac and good battery life just don't press the buttons and let them turn themselves off. Well one doesn't seem to be turning off. Every time I looked at it in safe it was on. I thought maybe opening my safe made enough vibration where it turned on. Well its been sitting in various places today and every time I've looked at it its on. Looking at the warranty statement in the manual these dots are covered without registration to whomever owns it for five years from the date of manufacture. I am thinking about after this weekends match sending the one not MOTAC-ing in for repair. For those of you that have been sending them in what are they doing? Repairing, replacing boards or just reissuing new sights? I assume both my dots are somewhere under two years old since they were built. Should I just use the buttons normally and if they wear out so be it and hope it happens in the next three years? I like these XL dots but once again feel like I am doing the beta testing for sig...
  9. Tonight was the last steel match of the season and battery was still going strong. If I remember I'll post again next year. But sounds like I had a couple bad batteries in a row vs something wrong with the good old RTS2
  10. I broke one on a M&P 9 years ago. Same thing. Bunch of dry fire then went to range for live fire. Pointed the gun at target and click, racked round click, racked round click. I bet I went through the whole mag before I believed it. Getting a striker back then from smith was difficult to say the least. They said they don't break, unless you have a modded trigger like an apex, which I did, and dry fired, which I did.
  11. Shot steel last night 8-22 and the dot was just as bright as expected...
  12. I just did an extensive dry fire session where I dropped the striker on an empty chamber to get a time to first shot on commander timer. Any one experience part breakages by excessive dry fire on a Q5SF?
  13. I read somewhere where higher pf ammo would do this too. I picked up a Q5sf here and first time I shot it I had this problem exactly as you described. I was using hotter 147gr ammo that was approaching 140pf. I switched to my ammo to 128ish pf and have never had this happen again. I was already using the sprinco recoil rod with uncut white spring. Gun goes into battery whimpy if you ride the slide forward but has never failed to chamber when shooting. I tested some 115pf 147s for revo in steel matched and the Q5 runs these fine even with totally stuffed mags and a round barnied in the chamber
  14. I just stumbled across this topic and spent the past hour reading about your journey. Very interesting and I feel like I learnt a few things. You didn't talk me into a G26, but I am going to do some dry fire and reflect... Good luck and keep the updates rolling in...
  15. Tonight was steel challenge and I shot the 617. I mentioned my emptying the cylinder dilemma and another shooter told me he had seen a gentlemen using binocular shoulder straps. When it was his turn to shoot he'd clip small box onto the bino straps and empty the cylinder into that box. When done shooting he'd unclip the dump box. I like the thought of having a bag full DS-10-SPEED loaders too. Doing that would do away with the loading block. Do they ever have sales when it would be a good time to buy several?
  16. I got my 617 used off this forum. Previous owner had a trigger job done on it. Not sure exactly what was done but still has the factory hammer. Pull is 7.5 lbs and it sets off ammos I've tried. Two things I don't like about shooting 617 in steel matches - of course no 22 revo divisions. And reloading and storing the empties and live rounds. I have speed beez loading block but don't have a good system to dump the cylinder of empties and live rounds. I used a empty 22 bulk box to clear the cylinder then go back after and separate the empties from the live rounds. Anyone have a good reloading the cylinder setup between strings?
  17. With a nice heavy open gun once load and springs are tuned the dot won't move off target as gun cycles and you can bang bang as fast as you can and the shots will be very close on target. But I think if you play with CO load weight springs etc you can get very close to having the gun return to zero and get the same result on target. To get optimal results from either set up takes tinkering
  18. After the ice broke you needed to throw in a Doug Marcaida it will keeeelllll
  19. I looked on JP and SC website. Both say: Complete JP-5™ carbines are available for preorder now with deliveries estimated to begin by the end of 2021 Surprised no one thought it would be a good idea to update this...
  20. My clutch was too tight. Jamming the plate stopped the motor from spinning. I loosened the clutch and squeaking is the same. I did not use the wedge. Watching the DAA vid it says I don't need it as this is an older case feeder with hi lo switch. Although I have considered putting it in. Sometimes the plate double feeds or kicks 2 pieces of brass from same drop hole.
  21. The squeak is a bit louder than brass rolling around and much more noticeable when the feeder is empty and plate is turning continuously Attach0_20220505_104942.mp4
  22. DAA plate is working correctly but squeaks as it rotates. I think the plate is touching somewhere inside the dillon feeder bowl. But not sure where. I have it running with no cases in it hoping to find good witness marks. Anyone else experience this?
  23. I think I saw this at least 6 times today. Habits are hard to break
