  1. Mark is that correct the last 3 lines? IC-13" M-14" IM-15" seems it would be the opposite
  2. It's a Nordic top secret prototype
  3. Probably after that one thing on a Tuesday people bought a bunch
  4. Correct the companies want their product to be used in the match by the pro's for promo sake, but the timer don't start til they press the easy button. Most likely that way so that you don't toilet a stage on something that you may never have touched before that stage.
  5. As stated mag capacity and recoil are the reasons why 9 rules. Downloading the 40 round is a viable option to make it similar, as long as it runs the gun 100% no worries there. The capacity may force you to reload when other guys don't, depends on the COF. I'd run it as is and re-evaluate after a few matches. When you get to the point that you lose a 3 gun match because of one extra pistol mag change then you have something to worry about. Most are lost in plenty of others ways compounded!
  6. I believe that only the Tripp "system" mags do
  7. Yeah that is the problem I have with my Limited pistol. I bought what my budget could handle, but I lack the confidence in it. Not that its a bad gun and it works wonderfully I am just not a fan of striker pistols and would be much happier with a 2011. I am really trying to avoid being in the same boat, at the same time getting something that I can afford and not have to wait months to get. Granted in light of recent events I may have too no matter what, but I hope that won't be the case. Now I am seeing people backing the Stag and the Colts, but nothing about the DPMS. I read here that you get a lot for the money, but the lack of response gives me the feeling that there is a reason that no one is saying anything. Comparing a 2011 pistol to a striker fired pistol is not a good comparison for which rifle to choose from. All of the above listed rifles will have identical ergonomics. Your factors to consider are accuracy and add ons. All the above listed companies support this sport considerably and are all quality guns. They should all shoot MOA easily and with exception of the comp on the Stag or ready out of the box. Figure out which one fits your budget and go with it, after a full year of shooting it you can figure out if its all that you need. If not you can trade up, I don't recall there being a quality 3 gun rifle sitting unsold in the classifieds for very long.
  8. I wonder if theyre going go change it to Tac Optics only, since I dont think any of the top finishers this year actually competed in TO? That was one of the questions I asked him. Some of the Top 25 did shoot all TO, but many did not. I'm happy for everybody that made it and I wish them the best of luck in the open match. Congrats also to the top 4 who get to have a shoot off. One of my teammates and I discussed doing some division hopping next year if it is still allowed. We decided we are going to stick with TO only (which is what we did this year) because if you make the Pro tour you will have to shoot TO only anyway. So, we decided that if we can't make the top 25 by shooting TO only in the Semi Pro, then how in the hell could we compete with the Pro's? We might make it to the open match, but only to have our ass kicked from there on. Im sorry but You're thinking is completely incorrect. If you're best chance at going pro is to shoot with a side by side shotgun high point pistol and a Ruger 10/21, DO IT!!! I can tell you that being in the pro series opens a lot of doors in the sponsor world. Getting my a$$ kicked on National TV by Keith Garcia, Kalani Laker and Rustin Bernskoetter has been wonderful financially despite the smack talk and abuse I have to listen to daily via text message. There are a lot of rumors about the show going to an hour long format next year as well which means even more opportunity for you to be on TV wearing your sponsors logos in front of millions of viewers. Think about it. As a sponsor would you rather have your logo on a semi pro shirt being viewed by 150-300 shooters at 4-5 matches a year or would you rather see that semi pro making his way onto TV? No matter how you finish in the pro series, no publicity is bad publicity. I know everyone can think of several shooters with gobs of sponsors that you might say why does he or she have all those sponsors when I beat them at the match last weekend. Its because that shooter is getting him or herself out in front of shooters who are potential customers better than you are. I know how I would spend my sponsorship money! I know we all wish there were certain things we could change about 3 Gun Nation. But like the show or not they are making the sport more visible to the world. They are also brining more prizes and money into the sport which means all of us benefit. Do whatever it takes to get yourself involved in 3 Gun Nation. Why do you think I have zero finishes in TO in the Divisional series? At this point I'm not going to beat Horner. So I stuck myself in HO and won. I got my ugly mug on the cover of 3GN multiple times, I get to carry around a big ass $5,000 check at SHOT show and on the plane ride home, my sponsors got to brag that their shooter was winning. It benefitted me and my sponsors way more than almost any finishes I could have had in TO. I'm not sure why I have away my strategy at being a pro shooter. I guess I just firmly believe in what 3 Gun Nation is bringing to the table and want everyone to get involved. I agree with Jesse completely on this one. No shame in jumping around. Saying whatever about TO is one thing but there are plenty of guys who weren't mainstay TO shooters prior to 3GN (Jerry, Clint, etc) that got their spot on the Pro tour started in another division. If 3GN wants to put semi-pro as TO next season then we will roll with it and people will be forced to shoot TO if they want to have a shot at the pro series.
  9. On top for quality, but price is more than the others.
  10. Don't know if they have any in stock or not, but its an idea for price point. http://www.ar15sales.com/store/page2.html
  11. With the tube already on the SG then it for sure is the pistol. If you can borrow a hicap for a few matches do it until you figure out what you want. Get a mag or two with a ext basepad for 22-24 round capacity and practice.
  12. Valid point, however I see those numbers going up next season. I think there were plenty of people who didn't sign up for anything this season just because they didn't know where/how/what about 3GN and how things were going to play out. I think that if 3GN wants to bump the numbers up for next season they need to get the details out fairly soon about some specifics since 2013 match sign ups are already taking place.
  13. So the +7 would go on the factory 8 round mag?
  14. Which extension tube is that? The red looks good.
  15. It is not something that can be easily judged by gun as you need to look at what can be done to the gun. The carrier latch may need to be tweaked to enable it to load easier. A VM with a welded lifter and tuned carrier latch is way different than a stock VM!
  16. XS makes a set of 3 different heights specifically listed for shotguns. Check this page, about 1/2 way down. http://xssights.com/index.php?nID=specialty&cID=Specialty%20Products&pID=specialty I got lucky. The lowest sight worked great for my Nova, while the middle height sight worked great for my M1. It's not as good of a sight picture as something like Patricks, but I do like the low profile, snag free rear. So it comes with 3 different rear sights? 3 different heights?
  17. Which XS express sight is being used for the rear? I'm guessing it doesn't matter and any of the pistol sights work?
  18. What time does check in start? Sitting at laquinta and they don't seem to know anything about it... According to the website; 1-5 at the range and 6-8 at the hotel.
