  2. Hear-pro custom molded plugs. I used to have to double plug with muffs and standard foam, and or surefire plugs, now with the customs from brad, only if in an eclosed concrete shoot house do I consider double plugs....
  3. Thinking of getting into a 6" gun this year to use for 3-gun. Problem is i'm a lefty and as usual having trouble finding what i need. Any other lefty's out there who had a kydex holster made for a 6" gun that has good retention for 3-gun? Any help is greatly appreciated!
  4. We love open shooters! We just won't have open for this Sunday. After Sunday we will have an open class. We have a great group of guys putting this together. Stefan wiggins, David tapp, Dave horn and several others will be working together to put on quality shoots.
  5. Whoops- www.brocksgap.com The announcement isn't on the club website yet, but should be in the next week. Also, we are planning a major match for the last Saturday in march of 2013. 200+ shooters, 100k + prize table... I have communicated with chad at 3 gun nation about making it a points series match as well. We have our final planning meeting on the 19th of this month. Thanks Jesse !
  6. On August 19th (Sunday) at 9:30 Brock's Gap Training Center in Birmingham AL, we are starting a new 3-gun match. Sorry for the late notice but it was just approved by the board of directors. The match on the 19th will have 5 stages. 4 of them will be pro stages 1,2,3,8 from the upcoming Rockastle Pro-Am. We will also have a pistol field course that will be 50 rounds or so. This match will have 2 classes, tac optics and tac irons. IMGA scoring format $25 This match in the future will be scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of the month with a 0900 start time. It will not be every month, but will be scheduled around 3-gun nation matches. This match will be run by dedicated 3-gun / USPSA shooters. (For those of you who have been to BGTC, this match is NOT a "practical tactical" match.) There will be more information to come. Any questions message me, or email.... 7. Are you shooting at heritage this weekend? I am....I will bring that bad boy.
  8. I used the dremel today....it fits! I have only taken about 1mm of metal off the bottom of the block, and smoothed down the heads of the screws so the profile is rounded. It looks like I will need to take another 1mm and will be good to go.
  9. I took a chance to see if the Syrac clamp on gas block would fit under a 15 inch trx extreme. It doesn't. At first I thought it would, but when I assembled the alpha rail attachment - it was obvious it wouldn't. My question is, has anyone taken a Dremel tool to the bottom of this block yet?
  10. +1 for vertx pants. Fit well and don't bind your junk while moving. I have several pairs and they have held up very well.
  11. No worries, I'm just psyched to get a new toy.....
  12. thanks cap- that's why i bought the second focal plane... besides, i have nothing to lose since i can return the scope within a year no questions asked- why not give it a try..
  13. I ordered the second focal plane btr2 from swfa, who said that it would be available in 2-3 weeks....of course they already charged me the 1400.....
