I use HS-6 for 9 Major open gun and love it. At low pressure it is really dirty; in my open gun it is not that bad.

I love just cleaning the bolt, barrel and upper.

I also use a Vortex Razor on an offset. Coming from open, I realized my holdover isn't as bad as my open gun (bad meaning not much). Honestly, I use it ten yards and in for spray and pray.

My HS-6 load was a little stout in my GMR-15 and it was very dirty. The N320 ran a lot cleaner and it is more of a push. My dot barely moves and it is accurate.

Well at least it is confirmed that a tight channel will keep a broken firing pin going. As for my round, I forgot to mention that I am using SRP. I have a ton of them from shooting open. My PF should be 133-140.

Since I just got my JP GMR-15; I have switched my load. I am now running a new load: 124GR MG JHP 3.8GR N320 @ 1.130 PF OOA 135

No worries. I smoothed out the bottom of the mag to work with the TF basepads. So when I switched over, the actually worked a little better. I will probably replace the basepads after the season anyway.

I'm curious what is your load? I just got my GMR-15 and I running N320 (3.8grs) behind a 124gr MG JHP @ 1.13. I just trying to gauge what everyone is experiencing. When your firing broke, what symptoms did it give you? Thanks!!

I use a Vortex UGH-1 with a Vortex Razor on a offset mount.

I filed the back of the TTI extension with a file. Problem solved.

I just got mine on Monday and I love it. It is heavy but I'm a big guy, so I will up my workouts. It is flat shooting though. There is very little rise in this rifle. I'm using 6.6grs of HS-6 for my round and the sight lefts a little bit. I'm thinking about taking down my rounds down to 6.4grs. I wish I would have bought this rifle first instead of the MPX; which I will be selling ASAP.

My MPX is the same way. I have a JP GMR-15 coming in on Monday. I can't wait.

My followers were modified for the TF basepads. I might have to file them down a little more.

I wonder if a Grams or TTI follower would do the trick. I used them in open so I think they would work in this application. I guess the only concern I have would be the last four rounds and if the follower would roll over. Just a thought.

I got my base pads yesterday. I can only load 35 rounds in my 9mm 32 round mags. I think this more the function of the springs because they look extremely long. I could only get 39 in my Taylor Freelance extension, so 4 rounds is better than I thought. I am thinking I may need to shave down the back of the follower to ensure that it can slide easily down into the extension. I like the look and feel of them, so I will keep them.

Vortex UH-1 for me.

When my JP gets in I will be running 6.6grs of HS-6 behind a 124gr Montana Gold JHP. The PF is about 136-140 at 1.150. I shortened it by 1/100 to ensure good pressure.

+1. Once you rule out the trigger man, this is a good place to start.

I would go with a custom built platform. I am going to PCC exclusively from Open and I can tell you a spec built platform will do you justice. I have a MPX now but I have a JP GMR-15 on the way. I could piece together an open gun but it will never run as good as one built by a master gunsmith. Also, when you add up the cost for all the parts for testing you will be close if not over the cost of a custom spec carbine. In open we say buy once cry once; it is the same in PCC. When I get my JP, I will be ordering another one as my backup. So I will be crying twice...lol.

Surprisingly, it is not that dirty. I think my chrono was off when i tested. i don't think it is nowhere that fast. I'm think it should be in mid to high 1300's for a PF around 140. I'm using small rifle primers so that might be adding that little extra kick. I like the load. I have a GMR-15 on order, so I hope I do not have to change this round.
