  1. 500 to a grand, I built my 930 from a waterfowl version. I have had no problems yet this season.
  2. They are stiff, its just the way they are built. Its not just yours
  3. One of the best tips I learned was, try not to take the glasses off your head once you put them on. That causes them to fog
  4. Id reckon the 450yds was a bit of exaggeration. Atleast that's what im hoping for...lol
  5. It sticks out about 8.5-9in past the barrel. I am sure it will be fine but just for cosmetic reasons I want to get a longer barrel. Are you shooting open with it?
  6. This weekend was a blast! Squad 2 was the best squad I've ever helped RO. Everyone worked well together & kept things moving fast & efficient, So a big shout out & thanks to everyone on squad 2 for making RO life easy. Nice meeting you all & hope we get to shoot together again down the road. Also want to thank all the match sponsors. A big thanks to Lancer, Hornady, & Starline Brass for donating to my team's prize package. Also, thanks to the GT Target guys for hanging out all weekend, helping out on stage 6, & the side match Great match! Squad 2 was definitely the best, made working as a RO too easy. Thanks again to everyone that helped make this first 3man Colt series a great success. Can't wait for next year.
  7. I believe you can even get extension for it, through nordic. I would check with them but I believe the browning gold extension works. if it shoots it'll work.
  8. that's a long wait..look on kkm website for pics. they look like your stock barrel except silver
  9. Linda Chico Peacemaker Peacemaker site has been down for a while now. and the other site still has last year info
  10. That's either quite impressive for a Pro or the readings are a fluke. I guess if you have chronoed it enough it must be so. I have loaded MG 124 CMJ's for two different Pros and could barely make 132 with 4.3-4.5 TG at about 1.13. I guess the bullet profile has a lot to do with it as the oal would not kick it up that much. MG bullets are some of the slowest as are M&P Pro barrels. As a matter of fact I needed 3.8 to make 132 with MG 147's. Wow, that's extra slow. I was at 3.6 TG with 147 and a mp stock barrel switched to a kkm and it got a little quicker. Now I load 4.2 TG with 124 cmj and I am at 135pf
  11. U should never touch flame to fiber. Just get near it. Dawson has a good video on how to properly change them out.
  12. If I just shot 6 to 8 shots, and I am moving to another spot where I need to shoot 6 to 8 shots, I am reloading
  13. Cortisone is a miracle drug, just got a shot after having knee surgery 6 months ago. knee feels great, no stiffness after sitting.
  14. Debacle is a rather kind word to describe my pistol shooting on that stage. However, I've determined that the power factor on my loads was too high resulting in too much displaced air in front of my bullet that created a high pressure wave between the bullet & the steel plate causing the bullet to divert around the plate. Lmao off....that was my next thought, on what could have happened. Right now, I practice with clay birds laying on a hill at about 200yds
  15. I just bought .223 pmc for 5.89 a box of 20. its only a shortage when all the fools run out and buy up everything, lately the deals come in waves. If you don't see one just wait a minute.
  16. . Sent mine to Chris. One of the strangest things I saw was in the appendix sections governing division firearms. Reading them word for word, the implication is if you do not have a "factory produced" rifle, you are in open division. In other words if you built your own using company a's lower and company b's upper, it isn't a factory produced rifle. That can't be the intention. But clearly, the appendixes state rifles must be factory produced for all divisions except open. Or maybe I had too much beer last night. Hope that's not true
  17. Thanks for all the great input. I'm new to centerfire reloading so have a lot to learn. I would guess that set back would give a varying velocity, so doubt that's the problem. OAL can be adjusted but feeds good in 3 different guns so I don't want to change more than one varible so I will cut back to 4.8 and give it another go. Thanks again for the help. Im loading 1.124 with 124 mg cmj. Feeds good in my m&p pro. I use 4.2 tg and get a steady 128 to 130. Try using the lower end of your powder, I already knew I had to be in middle range from when I used 147s. Also did you check your bullets by pushing the bullet nose into your bench to see if your OAL is changing? If it is you need to adjust crimp like previously suggested. If its fine just back down on the powder, your OAL is fine if it works in your guns.
  18. Where do you shoot at, Colorado?

Shouldn't the dyslexic man walk into a rab?
  22. Get a 24" jm and you may not need the extra barrel. I have a few thousand through a converted wf version with no problems. just keep it clean
