  1. For dry firing, the phone apps work good.
  2. I like to keep a couple big black trashbags to cover bag and or cart.
  3. I thought of that, but I felt my grip still moving to hit it on that side also, just differently. so I just left it on the thumb side.
  4. I have gone back and forth between the two straps many times. The small allows for easy manipulation of the mag release. But the feel of the large grip is so different with the side bulge that it really works great for me to get a consistent and very secure grip, with like you said more surface area for support hand. Also as seen on my targets in a match my second shot on a target is much closer with the large grip. The only thing that suffers is the stretch to the mag release. I have settled for now, on using the large.
  5. I just removed my PEPR mount for the first time, and the front mount screw will not screw back tight against the rail anymore. It feels stripped or somthing. I just ordered the AMD recon
  6. I developed an idea, though strange. What I do when the buzzer goes off, I stop and put more primers in. Which in turn stops the buzzing. This is just my opinion, and may not work for all.
  7. Awesome, thanks (finally) for a response! Did you have to shorten your OAL at all? I hear the chambers are shorter on these drop ins, which would make a lot of sense. Mine might already be short, compared to some measurements I have seen here. I run a 147 bullet at 1.124
  8. I have not heard of that problem yet. Do you see any rough edges that need to be sanded down? Or is there something inside the tube that could be catching it?
  9. If your just going with front bead. You should check where you hit at varied distances.
  10. At 50yds the bead was workable on my 930..out to 100yds I had no clue where I was hitting. The front bead on mine is quite large. I ordered the hi viz sights to see how they work for the long range slugs.
  11. I'm in the same boat. I called Mossberg Customer Service, they want to know the serial number of the my 930 JM. After I gave it to the CS rep, he tells me he can't sell me a spare carrier (Mossberg's term for the lifter) because the JM series is new, they aren't selling parts for it yet. I would rather send a spare lifter to C Rums and have the original handy just in case. Anyone tried a regular 930 lifter in their JM series? Most likely its the same thing
  12. I went from 128 to 130 with stock barrel to 135 to 137 with the kkm
  13. I sent a emai back last october, got a reply a few weeks later. I dealt with the guy that is mentioned a few pages back, can't remember if it was jim or jeff. It took two months to receive. But was worth the savings. I got a totally built 930 for 500 bucks. Runs so well my buddy had to borrow it at a match last week when his fn started constantly double feeding. Got 400 sheels through it so far without a failure yet. Knock on wood. I do clean it every hundred or two though. The gas piston gets dirty quickly. But I would buy another tomorrow and still be under the price of 1 gun from the competition.
  14. If it is unfired, you may be able to exchange it. That's how I got mine.
  15. App is for dry fire, ced for live fire
  16. Yes you can buy the barrels now from mossberg. It may take a little while though.
  17. +6 10 +1 2" passed I think on a 24" barrel. The trigger compartment wiggle does not matter, every 930 must have it or will after a few rounds through it. Even a 935 I picked up once had it. Mine seems to lock up a little better when loaded. Either way I don't notice it when shooting, even slowly with slugs.
  18. The miculek is best bang for the money. The others are double in cost, but not sure if they double in performance
  19. 1 more thing, will you be using self squadding again? That was convenient.
  20. 650 was my first ever look at a reloading machine. I watched the dillon video on setting it up and was up and running at first crack. Also this forum has many common problems you might have already answered, if you do a little searching.
  21. Run it through the slot on the bottom
  22. Should be another great time. Did your club ever get the extra pits built?
  23. That's a good point. That may be the twist.
  24. Just started getting into some 3gun matches. Not sure if this is the rule for most matches but, I was curious as to why there are two options for dumping your gun in the dump bucket. Why not just make 1 rule that safety must be on? What is the benefit of dumping the gun empty? Is it faster? It seems IMO, to cause more confusion to a new shooter, and possibly less safe.
