  1. Like what JJ said in an interview where he mentioned talking to other dot shooters. "Why the f$%k would I want to cover my dot" Information is power and visual information for us even more so.
  2. Too true. By making the changes to Production Optics that they did, they did change the balance of the different divisions. Better to make CO Open Minor and let Production Optics re-emerge with the 10 round capacity and if it eventually went to 15, so be it. This way everyone can stay happy. Makes me want to run for the BOD to push this notion.
  3. Crisp as mentioned by others.
  4. 2.5 lb pull, use stock parts, lights off a variety of primers that makes it usable on almost any primer that you can get for your pistol. Small pistol primers, small pistol magnum and small rifle. With primers in short supply you don't need to drop lots of dollars if you find a different type of primer than you usually use and have them not work. Case in point, I had some CCI magnum #550. In my lightened Glock trigger I had a Johnny Glock shoe, polished and tuned connector, lightened striker, 13# ISMI recoil spring and a 4lb striker spring. Pull measured at 2.5-2.75 pounds and reliably set of federal, cci and Winchester small pistol primers that I had. But would not light off the cci magnum. Timney installed using the same connector, but with a stock striker, a 4.5# striker spring and the 13# recoil spring. Lit off every single cci magnum primer. So what I now have is an entire line of primers that I can utilize in my pistol. Borrowed some small rifle primer loads - they went bang. That was the best $150 I spent on my gun, and I'd run most of the triggers out there. Vogel, Vanick, DK, Johnny Glock. YMMV, but try it, if you don't like it, post if for sale and it will end up being gobbled up (Thanksgiving pun intentional!).
  5. They are. The first G34.4 I put it on I could not get it to work. Regardless of the parts I swapped out it would not run. Grabbed my backup 34.4 and it went it slick as all git-out. Got a second one for my 34.3, went in that same way. 2.5 trigger pull, stock striker and 4.5 pound spring, lights off everything. spp, spp magnum, SR, all I could get with my lightened stock which was also 2.5 pounds with a 4 lb spring was SPP. I was skeptical at first, a fellow Glock shooter had one and I played with it. He tried mine and the feel was identical in both guns, the difference was what it would eat. Frankly the money was worth it. I have 2 34.4's, 2 34.3's and 2 17.3's. I move slides around on the respective guns so I always have something to play with on the Timney's. Put an adapter on the 17.3 slide and it now runs perfectly on the Gen 4 frames. Hats off to Heavy Armor Division for the adapter.
  6. Not sure if the 4 and 5 are compatible. One of the reasons I've stayed away from Gen 5. I have years worth of Gen 3 parts that will fit Gen 4. None of them will work on the Gen 5.
  7. I've run both a 17 and 34 in CO as well as production. I prefer the 34 as I shot it for so many years in production. Sometimes shooting the 17 seems to be better, other times it does not. Weight-wise they are the same as the cutout on the 34 was - supposedly- made to be the same as the 17 slide in weight. I've run them back to back when shooting 2x at local clubs and varied which one was first gun and second gun. I can't give a better answer as I've tried for years to settle. There is a difference in power factor for sure, so if you are skirting the low end and make pf with the 34, be aware or you could go sub minor in the 17.
  8. Exactly! I also put my CR Speed bracket on additional links so should I ever decide to go back, it is just a quick swap of pins driven out and in.
  9. I used EZ-Loks instead. Drilled 5/16 hole test fit the ez lok, measured where it needed to be cut (they are 12mm long, needed to be 7 mm). My experiment after getting teh CR Speed brackets on in the earlier picture.
  10. I reached out to FCD, they let me know that they only do plates for American made optics (Trijicon and DPP). I have to say, and I did said to them, that I admire them for that. They did pass on that Holosun may be making their own plates.
  11. Now FCD needs to make a plate for Holosun sights...
  12. Read all the books as well, movie is as good as you will get given that much of the book (Dune) is filled with inner dialog and introspection that does not translate well to the screen. Visually stunning, matching much of my mental picture from the book. Architecture didn't fit, but a minor quibble. Thought Jessica was portrayed as weaker than what she was in the books, but we'll see if/when part 2 gets made.
  13. Correct screws, torqued down correctly? Not a flame, just asking. I have as many through my 34.4 with no issues, I've had more with another mfg plate on my backup gun than I have had with the MOS.
  14. McMaster-Carr has media
  15. Comes down to the individual. I went through a variety of ways to make my G34 heavier when the weight limit went up and now my gun is pretty much back to where it was before I did that. Probably have some of those pieces laying around...I should sell them
  16. Natchez just sold out of cci SPP, listed at $84/1K . One of our group bought 5K, came out to $98/K with hazmat, tax and shipping.
  17. Troy addressed this on the thread about how to deal with glare at Frostproof. No problem with it. Some chrono folks are not fan of it as they've shot chrono's since they were not familiar enough with it and were not given permission by the shooter to remove the tape.
  18. This forum had users that encouraged the use of tape for shooting in Frostproof to rewove sun glare when you get morning or afternoon stages in those directions. Having shot there, I understand why. I tried the tape thing, was okay, Have some local shooters that use it for every match shooting CO. Didn't work well for me, shots were going slightly left all the time.
  19. We had a PCC only match set up and planned for in Western PA a few years ago, several hundred shooters registered. Unfortunately the match fell through, but it showed us the interest was there.
  20. For me it becomes white noise and I don't process it anymore. YMMV
  21. Comply tips work incredibly well for the walker silencer 2.0 as well, much better than the original tips.
  22. It's a sensitive one, doesn't take much to take it to the point where it is too far.
