  1. I'm waiting for a response for the same reason as you Steve.
  2. I absolutely must know who makes that thumb safety, and how I can order it. It looks like the SVI extra wide Ambi safety that you can buy directly from them - sviguns.com.
  3. Ford's Custom Gun Refinishing did hard chrome on 1 of my Open guns, great quality & highly recommended, they are west of Wildwood & north of Tampa
  4. Which means this fat old fart got one. Color me happy Good job Bill, shooting with a great squad had to help I'm sure.
  5. He graduated from the same high school I did in Canton, Ohio. I heard he had a tough childhood & probably had something to do with his adult life.
  6. I had 1 hand & elbow done & was out 4 weeks, after 6 weeks I didn't even notice anything was done, both to my strong side.
  7. By the way Thanks to you and Larry for doing alot of behind the scenes work on squadding and matrix etc, alot of hardwork goes into the planning and the flow of a match that many people do not understand. It is not just about setting up stages Thanks for sending out the squad list and the matrix. As far as range layout does it start with stage 1 at the bottom of the hill and work its way up, then back down to the far back bays and then down the long rifle range as before? Hang in there, all the last year efforts are about ready to pay off and you get to drive around watching everyone enjoying the match Congratulations needs to go out to Jake for making GM, squad 309, better bring your A game to run with the big Dawgs.
  8. I'll make sure you find the right stage to start at, just follow me in the golf cart.Make sure Jake walks Trust me, there's no way possible we could both fit on it.
  9. I'll make sure you find the right stage to start at, just follow me in the golf cart.
  10. I tried an SJC Mag well on my 24, my hands were too big to get a comfortable grip, installed a Seattle Slug & it works perfect for me ( seems to work OK for a guy named Vogel also).
  11. I have bought 4 grips from APS, 2 within the last 6 weeks. I personally like a real grippy & aggressive surface so I bought both his SRT 2 grip & his stippled grip with a medium surface. I'm loving both of them - the SRT 2 grip has a silicone carbide surface similar to a Limcat grip. If you don't want your hands to slip either one of these will serve your purpose. I also bought one of Jim's painted grip but it did not have near the grip that his non-painted grips have.
  12. Add another big recommendation for Ford's - did hard chrome on one of my Open guns & couldn't be happier.
  13. I have the same carry gun except with VZ grips- love it.
  14. Given the 20+ year age difference you can still hang with the big buck.
  15. I have polished flats on 2 of my Open guns, I like the look myself. Metaloy would be my 1st choice & Ford's would be my 2nd, both excellent companies.
  16. Are your guns hardchromed or cobalt? He does Cobalt & Cerakote finishes.
  17. You really know how to make an old guy feel good - you bringing the rest of the IN gang to Ohio?
  18. How many in a case? 3,750, 69#.
  19. Congratulations Corey, even though Mom did all the work!
  20. You will never find a better or more reliable person than Daniel at Plate-Tacular. Has done several guns for me, could not be happier. Daniel does this part-time, give him a heads-up & he'll take care of you.
  21. Robby won with a 6" Springfield a few times, could never find one for sale anywhere. Max shoots for Sig but everyone knows he shoots a Bedell in Open with an STI slide & frame.
  22. I usually order 3 cases at a time - my mailman loves me, but I have them delivered to my office so he brings them in on a cart.
