  1. I have two Aftec's and I know one is 38 Super and the other is 38 SuperComp, but they are unmarked. The hook's are clearly different. Can someone give me a dimension to check so I can tell them apart? I Googled the manufacturer and cannot find info to call them.
  2. So at last match I had failures to eject (seems to be fixed by smoothing extractor channel and installing Benelli parts) and I also had double feeding in to the lifter. Fired 88 shells today consisting of Rem STS and Wal-Mart Federal and have one double feed per type of ammo. Pic below. Any clues on what could be causing this? My loading port cuts are very mild compared to what I see on here.
  3. Cool, that's what I thought, thanks. Will do.
  4. I'm getting failures to extract with my M3000. I have the Benelli extractor & spring parts to swap out, but am a little confused on the pin that holds the extractor in place...am I correct in assuming I knock the pin out from the 1 o-clock position, and it comes out at the 4 o-clock position? Appreciate any help.
  5. Care to share what add on's you did to add weight to your gun?. I am shooting a 5" Pro in .40 for limited and would appreciate hearing about what was done. The gun is reliable an accurate, but light in weight. Did it require a special or different holster? Thanks in advance. Yeah, mine's a 5" Pro too. I have SSS brass magwell and grip insert, and SSS tungsten guide rod, so no special holster, I'm running a CompTac International. Gun is still too light but I don't have gunsmith bills. The only other things I would recommend is a good trigger or trigger job. I'm running the stock rear sight with a Dawson front sight to get the hits in the right spot. No matter what have spare parts ready; just broke my second slide stop and I'm only a little north of 20k on the gun. I'm considering a barrel upgrade this winter.
  6. I have both. The finish on the ProComp is not as nice as on the MB556, but the performance is the same.
  7. I was a solid Master class shooter with a custom 1911 hi-cap, and dumped it for the M&P in Limited because I was tired of massive gunsmith bills. My scores suffered, but the scores have come back up some since I added all the weight, but they still fall short of where they were with a 1911.
  8. Shooting a 5" Pro in Limited with brass & tungsten everything. 21 round mags, too tight to reload, but I can start a stage with 22 rnds.
  9. Other options? Not that I'm aware of...I have the 5" SSS tungsten rod in mine.
  10. I'm in the process of rebuilding an LR-243 upper, and also building a Mega Maten 260. For the DPMS LR-243 the original barrel was VERY accurate (but a slow twist so not ideal for 1,000 yards). I am keeping the barrel and swapped out handguard, BCG, and gas block, waiting on handgaurd right now (should be here tomorrow), and bolt. My point being that you may want to shoot some groups and see if your original barrel is worth keeping. DPMS barrels surprise you sometimes. Also, I was very surprised to see my old DPMS parts (which I considered substandard, particularly the handguard and gas block) sell on eBay for far more than I anticipated. For the Maten I planned on a 6.5 caliber. 6.5 Creedmoor is probably the better choice, but I went with 260 because I already had dies and brass. Lilja is taking preorders right now for 6.5 Creed barrels.

  12. Neb: Yes, it is on their website...2nd page of M3000 services, $80. Sorry, I can't seem to copy and paste a link with this new computer.
  13. Would someone please post a pic of the MOA Precision rear sight as installed on their M3000?
  14. All good info, I appreciate the help. Does anyone know which HiViz rear sight will fit a Stoeger 3000? They make a model # TS2002 for Remington, Benelli, Charles Daly, Ithaca & Browning and a model # TS1002 for Winchester & Mossberg. Sorry I can't copy a link...haven't been able to here since I bought the new computer.
  15. Shotguns are not my thing, so I need a little advice and/or help. I started 3-gun about a year ago and bought a new Stoeger 3000. It's been a great gun and has proved to be very reliable. My only issue with it is that slugs form nice groups low and right. I tested about 5-6 different slugs and Federal Truball's group the closest to the center. At 50 yards they hit 5" low and 6" right. Groups with Light Modified hit the same place as they do with a Cylinder choke. I already have a low front sight/bead, so I can't see getting a lower one to raise the groups, but what really bothers me is how far off to the right the slugs hit. And yes, the gun patterns off to the right too. Is there any semi-simple way to remedy this?
  16. Raised from the dead... Any more input or other options on which scabbard is a good choice? I'm running a 26" Stoeger 3000 and am getting ready to pick up a Gunslinger II for 3-gun next year and want a side scabbard for the shotgun.
  17. AA's new Grendel mags are made by E-Lander of Israel.
  18. Yup, liking mine too. I came in 3rd at last weekend's Peacemaker 3-gun match using mine. Great scope for the money.
  19. Many semi's don't run reliably on Wally World Winchester.
  20. Good choices. I will add Mega Arms to that list.
