  1. I am determined to learn how to move better over the winter, specifically entering and exiting boxes. Are there any videos out there (Matt's #4 or Avery's perhaps) that provide any insight and video of how it's properly done? Thanks!
  2. What are your splits??? That is a smokin' fast run.
  3. I'm squadded Sat morning, and hope to bring my two sons to watch.
  4. I have one major gripe about using the printer. I practice over lunch and have very limited time to shoot, so I bought the printer thinking I would be able to shoot my whole session, print the whole session out in one swoop, then analyze my technique later. Nope. Every time you hit the green Go button the previous data that was stored in the timer is lost, so the best you can do is print one event (El Prez as an example) at a time. I think this is deserving of a What I Hate rant....
  5. I recently bought the HP printer for my MKIV from half.com. I think it was new, came in a box with directions, paper and batteries, and was $50 + s&h.

Congrads Tom, I'll see you on the range. I hope the FBI doesn't screw up your shooting technique too much
  7. Wow, so many people moving up to Master class on the forums, this is GREAT. Congrads to all, hopefully I'll join your ranks soon.....
  8. Please keep posting Topton's matches, or better yet does anyone have a website to their match schedule? I'm dying to shoot Bianchi and Masters up there but have had a tough time finding match dates. Thanks.
  9. Divide your points by your time to get your hit factor, then divide your hit factor by the high hit factor. The HHF is closely guarded my USPSA, but it's not too hard to figure them out
  10. I'm rooting for Phil, but concur that it'll be hard holding Leatham back, and then there's Eric...... Where's Jerry Barnhart??
  11. UPDATE: after much use my new style Tripp mags are now swelling and not falling out of the gun. I called Tripp concerning this yesterday and he said to throw the top 3" of a gutted mag body in a padded vise and squeeze it down to 0.533" width. I threw two mag bodies in the vise, was able to squeeze them down to 0.540", from 0.545", and tested them today with great success. It seemed to me like if you squeezed them any tighter than 0.540" the follower would start binding in the tube. Hope this helps....
  12. I remember that stage, it really separated the men from the boys...
  13. Weak hand shooting is not my specialty, but I improved a lot by focusing on accuracy. I started every shooting session with a 10 round group at 25 yards: freestyle, then weak hand only and lastly strong hand only. After awhile I was able to, and still can, shoot better groups weak hand only than strong hand!! This really improved my confidence. I also tried to handle the gun with my weak hand as often as possible, little things like grabbing the gun out of the safe with my weak hand. You also may want to try practicing those classifiers that emphasize weak hand shooting. Hope this helps!
  14. Do these elevated JP and STI mag catches make it harder to seat the mag?
  15. Has anyone here used the JP elevated mag catch? If so, can you share your experiences? I'd like to try one on my SS 45 and SS 40. The 45 in particular is VERY finicky... Anyone know why they're so expensive?
  16. How soon? The whole Bianchi course of fire? How often will you shoot it? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just a bit excited.
  17. Tom, The S&W Mini-Magnum shooting glasses fit my 9 & 13 year old sons fine, but were too large for my 3 year old daughter. I would guess they would be too large for TJ...
  18. Precisely! It seems that the SVI & STI magwells will fit the box, and probably the Krebs, but which magwells are too big????
  19. Can you clarify the problems you had with the mags?
  20. I am getting ready to build a USPSA Limited gun, but also want it to be legal for IPSC Standard division. It seems the only way a magwell could affect the Standard rules is by making the gun so large it cannot fit in the box, correct? So this leads to the next question: which magwells for my SVI are small enough to be legal for Standard? I noticed that STI advertises their magwell as legal for international competition... Thanks!
